WM PJ Party Color Inspiration

Challenge 3 is a color challenge
speaking of challenges, those are not the easiest colors to play with.
But, a challenge is a challenge, is a, well you know.
I don't have a lot of WM stamps, so I chose Cottage Home to work with, which I loved the moment I saw it. This stampset just speaks to a grandma that is a collector of all things miniature!
Layers, piecing, picture window, and hand dyed resin blossoms.
I first created a ticking paper with PTI's background basics: Super Stripes and scarlett jewel ink.
Way too bright so softened with vellum.
Cut a picture window from both and framed it with Mat Stack 5.
Fussy cut 2 topiaries and placed them on top.
Used an edger die to scallop the bottom of the front.
Some details with embossing and a few rhinestones.

  2. O I love what you've done with this image - the frame and the wrought iron details are lovely as are the vellum overlay and the scalloped bottom. Don't know that I'd have your patience for all the fussy cutting and paper piecing, but it was definitely worth it. WOW !!!

  9. Nancy I hear you, when I was picking those colours they looked so much easier to work with, then when I saved the image for web, everything changed and I ended up terrified of them!! lol. You did a wonderful job with it though!! Superb little card, I love that adorable frame! Thank you for playing along with us and best of luck in the challenges!
