MIM #159

We learn some quilting tips from Dawn on MIM at Papertrey.

I found some quilts for inspiration, and settled on a favorite, called 'The Wedding Ring Quilt'.
After some practice to get the look I wanted, I came up with this.

I started with an embossed panel (Aida), cut several circles from Melon Berry, Kraft and Rustic Cream.
Then I shaped a wedge 4 times on each circle, placed them where I wanted, and ran the whole piece through another embossing folder.

My poor Cuttlebug breathed it's last a few weeks ago, and the new version came
with this floral embossing folder.

Bitty Button Stacks
Terracotta felt
Boutique Borders: Baby
Inks: Kraft & Terracotta Tile

I loved simulating a quilt on my card and can't wait to do it again!
Thank you Dawn!

  20. This is stunning. I was looking through the MIM gallery to see if anyone had done anything different than the square pattern, and was not surprised at all to see that you had taken the concept to the next level. This is such a fabulous pattern. Great idea to look at some actual quilts. I don't know why I did not think of that (lazy me....)
