MIM #174 Diamond Wallpaper Stamping... again

Take 2 of creating Diamond Wallpaper Stamping.
This time with Lovely Layers.

I stamped my wallpaper with Lemon Tart, Aqua Mist & Terracotta Tile,
creating a pattern.
A very BUSY pattern! Toned it down with some stitched vellum before adding
my medallion.

PTI: Lovely Layers Stamps and Dies
Aqua Mist, Rustic White, Smokey Shadow, & Vellum Cardstock
Zing Embossing Powder: Butter & Powder
Superior: Black

Creating my own background paper could be habit forming!

So I turned to Pinterest for a spark.

Found this sweater,
And was inspired by the colors and pattern.

PTI July Blog Hop

It's Blog Hop time at PapertreyInk!
Welcome and sit back for a bit while I show you the 4 cards I created.

1st the Challenge photo:

I saw this wonderful inspiration, and thought, sewing, summer, buttons, bouquets,
sweet artisan handwork.

Rather went my own way with the first card.
Can you tell it's a beach theme?
Waited so long for Betsy's Shakers and Sprinkles, but let me tell you, it was worth the wait!
The dies are incredible and the vials of sequins and rainstones are a treasure!
Not going to detail the supplies, but it's all Papertrey, except the crushed shells and sand confetti, and the gold embroidery thread on the shell.

Card 2:

More in line with the inspiration photo, this card uses some of my favorite dies,
and the linen embossing folder.

Don't you love that 'happy' die and stamp from Embellished Elegance?
I keep looking for ways to use it!

On to card 3:

There are 9 die cuts in this card (just sayin')

What's better than red, pink and aqua together!
A little 'hand' stitching with a white gel pen.

And finally....

Artful Notions does CAS, (restraint is not what I'm normally know for!)
But I love what Maile's been doing with slants and cuts!

All PTI card stocks and Inks and stamps and dies too.
If you want to know more about any of the cards above, I love to chat!
Otherwise, what are you still doing here?
Hop along and have fun!

Tag You're It! Challenge #2

Tag You're It! is a new challenge in Blogland.
I wanted to play along last time, and missed the deadline.
(Hate it when that happens!)
Wasn't going to miss this week with Laura Bassen's gorgeous inspiration!

This blew me away! The colors positively glow!
So... I ordered the inks she used:
Ranger's Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade, and Worn Lipstick.

Shape of tag created with  dies selectively cut from PTI's Mat Stacks 4 &5.

Tim Holtz Collection Stamp white embossed
PTI Banner Sentiments Black embossed on Vellum Double Ended Banner
Jewel charm from my stash
Metal leaves

Fusion Cupcake Challenge & Curtain Call Anything Goes

Couldn't put this stamp away without trying it with white.
Once again for the Fusion Challenge, using just the photo as inspiration.
I know the colors in the photo are a bit dustier, but I chose brighter copics to color my image
to stand out against a white background.

Frame is die cut using Make It Market scallop frame from PTI.
I sprayed it with Lindy's Stamp Gang Frost for a bit of texture.
Once again, Tim Holtz Cupcake stamp in Wet Cement (Hero Arts)
Love those sweet sugar flowers on the inspiration photo.
Went through my stash to find these.

Fusion Challenge French Cupcakes

The lilac peony has such a presence in this luscious inspiration photo
on Fusion's challenge,
but I chose the cupcake to focus on.
And the script on the left of the photo.

The cupcake image is a Tim Holtz set I stamped with Hero Arts Wet Cement, and copic colored.
Then added 2 glitters.
Background is Lindy's Stamp Gang 'flicked' onto PTI's Plum Pudding card stock.
A few dots of Viva Dacor Irridescent Pen,
Paper Sweeties sequins
'Happy' is die cut from PTI's Embellished Elegance, and stamped with Autumn Rose
 & Aqua Mist.
Hero Arts Fresh Snow sponged onto sides.
PTI Linen Vellum & Aqua Mist Cardstock.

Added a pinkish/lavender ribbon (so Parisienne!)
to anchor my 'happy'.

MIM #173

Happy Monday! This monday Heather creates the most beautiful watercolor
on this week's Make It Monday, on
Nichole Heady's blog.
She does it by first stamping the image with a pale ink, such as
Softstone, the color I used for my image.
The image stamped looks like a pencil drawing, and looks like I sketched it.
Brilliant!

The image is from Year of the Flowers: Violets, but I made it a pansy!

All PTI products:
Ink refils: Lemon Zest, Harvest Gold, Lavender Mist,
Plum Pudding, Winter Wisteria & True Black
Cardstocks: Plum Pudding, PP Gingham, Royal Velvet
Stamps: Year of the Flowers Violet, Sentiment from Birds & Blooms
I paper pieced the center of the violet.
See Heather's video here:

Paper Sweeties July Release Rewind!

Haven't you loved this July Release?
What's not to love about pets and heroes, right?

My card today features stamps from both sets,
and a die cut bird from Home Tweet Home, all copic colored.
Sentiment from the new Firefighters stamp set.
It hints at the puppy doing his job well done! (wink, wink!)
The clouds are from Feel Better Soon. (I didn't ink the raindrops)
Hope you've liked what you've seen, now visit all the teamies to see what they have for you!

Today's the day! All the goodies you have seen for the past 3 days
are available for purchase today!

The card I did features stamps from Firefighters, a set that honors our firefighting heroes,
and I dressed Jake in a paper pieced firefighters uniform.
His sweet dalmation,  and the hydrant and spouting hose are also from this set.
I copic colored the houses from Home Sweet Home.

Are you playing along with the Frequent Shopper Rewards Program?

So much fun, and you can earn free stamps!

The design team has more projects for you,

MIM #172 Screamin' for Ice Cream

Make It Monday, and Making Rainbows with Dawn.

6 of the 11 enjoying ice cream with Grandma!

Dawn said choose a stamp that would work for rainbows. But I had ice cream on the brain,
so went for the carton of ice cream from Comfort Food.
It worked. And loved the spoon in the center.
Sentiment from Comfort Food Additions
Inks: Melon Berry, Orange Zest, Berry Sorbet, Raspberry Fizz, Plum Pudding,
Blueberry Sky, Hawaiian Shores, Limeaid Ice.
(with the exception of Hawaiian Shores, tried to go for inks with foody names!)

Dawn's stamp was a vision! Maybe I'll try a frillier stamp next time!
You have all week to play!

Paper Sweeties July Release Countdown & Curtain Call Challenge

Welcome to Paper Sweeties Countdown in July!
How did you like yesterday's peeks?
If you love animal themes, you're gonna love the Sweeties Pets set!
Today I used the other pet in the set, the dog!

I created a background of paw prints for the puppy and doghouse.
Fussy cut wherever I could, including the bone weathervane, and tiny bone on the tag. (The tag is a Sweetcut from Beautiful Little Wishes April Release.)
There's a bit of puff paint and sparkle on the heart and bone.
Are you wondering about the scallop edging? Page reinforcers sprayed brown and placed vertically up the side of the plaid dp.

Come back tomorrow for Paper Sweeties Release Day and another fun card!
Be sure to check out the other designers release projects.
