Paper Sweeties December 2015 Inspiration Challenge

December 1st starts a new challenge at Paper Sweeties,
with this inspiration

Remember Snowtime from last year's release?
I started with the snow globe and snowman, and filled up
my card with PS goodies!
Hope you can find time to join in!
There's always a prize and you could be our next guest designer!

A quick PS:
Our release date for December stamps starts tomorrow, with Debbie
on her blog. We're calling it the 12 Days of Christmas.
My post date is the 4th.
Come back then and see what's new!
Be sure to make the rounds to find inspiration from all our designers!

Happy Holidays

MIM this week with Danielle, has us
splattering our projects, something I already love to do!
It's always great to learn a few of the designer's special
tricks, and Dani has plenty to share!

I couldn't wait to break open Winter Woods, a new set with beautiful bold winter birds.
White frost splatter created with: Mister Huey's Color Mist Shine.
Sentiment from Botanical Blocks 3.
Twinkling H2O's watercolors
Vintage Linens Paper Collection
Sequins & Beads: WMS Vanilla Frost

Also playing along at:

edited to add my bird card to
Merry Monday, where the theme is Birds

Yesterday we kicked off the holidays with a trip to the Moscow Ballet's
traveling production of the Nutcracker.
Ron and I took our Analise and Reagan, ages 11 & 10.
It was magical!

Part of the package tickets were nutcracker dolls with the
event & date engraved on the bottom.

Grandpa snapped these pix with an iPhone, not bad for a phone!
If the production comes to your town, don't miss it!
The sets, costumes and performers were wonderful!

Blue Christmas

Playing along with
Fusion challenge, which is 'Blue Christmas' and this inspiration,

My fuse is a bit off, so I chose from the photo a branch from the tree and the
dog. Instead of a dog, a deer with her baby in a snowy forest, all blues,
and all with Memory Box dies.

First, Winter Flurry Frame stencil, sponge inked and randomly sprayed.
The lace on the sketch rather reminded me of snowflakes.
Then, Delicate Branch Frame die, first in white and then Night Sky shimmer card stock (PTI)
giving the shadow effect.
Mama and Baby Deer cut twice as well,
and just the word 'Christmas' from Have a Jolly Christmas.
the star at the top is from SSS, called Abby Snowflake.

A few blinged rhinestones are always a good finish!

Sneaking off to post,
Family asleep everywhere in the house...

We finally got rain, yeah!

Here's Nichole's inspiration:

Trying to capture that cool sharp bursts of aqua and green.
Saw this lovely on pinterest,
I think it's Debbie Hughes

Jingle Bells

MIM with Dawn, stamping on kraft!
Love the possibilities.
Kraft is usually subtle, Dawn brings out the brilliant hues by
first stamping with white.

She demonstrates by stamping a bit off, the creation of shadow and hue
intensify.
Love it! Can't wait to try this technique again!

Works on Smokey Shadow card stock too!

Home to Home

Betsy's video on this week's MIM, is to
motif build our cards.

I love doing this, especially with her sets.
So many tiny elements to play with.
Tinsel and Tags was my choice for stamping.
All those sweet holiday symbols!

To create the mirror image of the deer, I stamped on
a scrap of clear card stock, then stamped my card, without re-inking.

I stickled some of the images for a festive feel,
and mounted onto a Pure Poppy card stock.

Paper Sweeties November Release Rewind!

It's Rewind Time! Time to use the new stamp sets with some of
the older!

The new Sweet Cut set, Stitched Tags #3, has a stocking and a present,
I made a group of shaker tags with the present, and the square die from
Save the Date.
The sentiment is from Mason Jar. Fits perfectly in the window!
Don't you love all the little sequins?
All available in the PS shop!
So is the colorful twine.
All glittery and filled with snow!
Love those sequin snowflakes!
Top 'bow' is cut from colored glitter paper.

Hope you've loved all the inspiration from the team.
And hope you've fallen in love with November's Release!

Paper Sweeties November Release Party!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties November Release Party!
4 Stamp Sets, 3 Sweet Cut Die Sets!
Holiday Happiness!

The scroly yummy frame is from one of the new sets, Days Until.
So is the sentiment, the square frame, and a set of numbers..
I gave the square frame a little pizzaz by masking and stamping a snowflake on each edge.
Not just for Christmas, this set is wonderful for engagements,
anniversaries, just about any special occasion.
Ornaments are sponge inked and are from Holly Days.
All silver embossed.
Sequins are new too! Marshmallow (Love!)
Happy shopping!
