Celebrate

While blog visiting Marybeth Lopez, (marybeth's time for paper),
she posted a gorgeous card as a guest designer for
Fusion Card Challenge, celebrating it's 2nd year.
You are challenged to use the sketch or the photo,
or to 'fuse' the 2.

With that bright and colorful inspiration, I had to play along!

The flowers, clear pink and raspberry colors and bright white
were my starting point.

All PTI: Fresh Floral Wrap-Ups,
Cover Plate: Center Stage,
and sentiment from Birthday Cheer Dies.
After Stamping the flower bouquet with PTI's Lovely Lady, I added watercolor
pencil for hi-light, a tutorial Laurie Willison gave a few weeks ago.
I tried to do the fusion, stretching out my oval,
and adding gold shimmer to the top of my cover plate.
Didn't have a ribbon the color I wanted, so dyed my own (seam binding)
with copics. Just love the ombre that's created when it dries.

'Celebrate' was cut twice with Black Shimmer Paper,
and the flower centers were dotted with BoBunny Gold DoubleDots.

  1. Fabulous design. I love how you added the yellow to the base. The added water colour to the flowers really gives a dreamy look. Plus colouring your ribbon with copies is inspired and does give that gorgeous ombré look. So much detail here and a gorgeous card as a result. So pleased you joined us at TO
