Paper Sweeties Inspiration Challenge August 2016

Happy Birthday Paper Sweeties!
That's right, Paper Sweeties is 4 years old this month, and we're
celebrating with a challenge, and a big prize for the winner.

What's the prize?
$100.00 gift certificate to shop at Paper Sweeties!
Want some inspiration?

Are you drooling? Oh, those macaroons! And roses!

I went with the colors, and added cupcake banners.
Celebrating with all the dolls, because they are Paper Sweeties.
I embossed and inked the bg, after cutting 4 windows for
Abigail, Jake, Emma & Sophie.
Just a quick copic coloring for the dolls and cupcakes, in this month's theme's
colors, and my card is ready to 'PARTY'!
All the links for this card is below, together with PS's signature sequins.
Let's give a big PS welcome to Lilian Forsyth, new to our team!
Please visit all the designers and show some love!
Congrats and welcome, to our August guest designer, Elizabeth Hart!

12 Kits July '16: Christmas in July

12 Kits time everybody! And just look at our goodies from
our hostess, Marybeth Lopez from Marybeth's Time For Paper.
Thanks to Lindsey for another gorgeous graphic!
The perfect way to cool off during the hot summer
is to play in the cool craft room. Turn up the air, and get lost in creating!
Beautiful papers, gorgeous die cuts, and then there were these darling critters...
Here's what I did!

Red and White! My favorite for Christmas.
Loved Marybeth's die cut sentiment, might need to get this one!

Marybeth gave us double sided papers, and this one with the gold dots
had the green diagonal stripe on the other side. After I watercolored the
holly and berry, I lined the image with gold pen to match the gold dots.

Love this little whimsical guy! Had to do a snowy scene for him.
MFT's Wonky Stitched Circles, and PTI's In the Meadow (hill)
PTI: Confetti Toss made the embossed snow.

Put a bit of glitter snow on his nose, pocket & hill.

These 3 elegant buttons were also in the kit.

PTI's Twig wreath just went perfectly with this  happy holiday paper.
A few die cuts from Make It Market: All Through the House too.
I colored the reindeer red and added wink of stella to his antlers.

Marybeth sent these die cuts, colored and gold embossed. Went with the
floral paper perfectly! (So glad I have this Make it Market set to case
this bouquet!)

Finally, I had to make a tag set with the critters included in the kit.

Thanks to Marybeth, I've got a great start on the holidays!
And thank you for visiting.
Can't wait to see what all the others did with this kit!

Papertrey Ink SAF '16: A Sweet Farewell

What a wonderful Stamp-A-Faire it was!
Thank you PTI!
You're the best!

Stamp-A-Faire 2016 Drips & Splatters with Lizzie Jones

Lizzie Jones' video was so much fun to watch, I was sure I would
love creating my very own 'Jackson Pollock' masterpiece.
Then the unthinkable happened...
My purple paint spilled everywhere!
With no time to begin again, it was 'lemonade' time.
You know, when life gives you lemons...

I managed to save a portion, just enough to qualify for the challenge.
Not my finest!

This week I promise to get around to oohing and awing all
the beauties at Stamp-A-Faire. And there are many!!!

SAF '16: Gilded in Gold With Danielle Flanders

A simple notecard for Danielle's challenge, to Gild in Gold.

I used the PTI set, Happy Hydrangeas, looking for the colors in one of
 Kay's sample watercolors.
'Thanks' from Graceful Greetings.
Gotta run, 2 more projects!

PTI July '16 Blog Hop. Wonderful!

It's Blog Hop time at Papertrey Ink, and our inspiration is this photo:

The colors, shapes, & sparse, clean layout were what
inspired me to do this card.

SAF 2016: Color Blocking with Lexi Daly

More fun with Stamp-a-Faire, this card inspired by Lexi Daly,
who debuted a fantastic how-to video, showing us
Color Blocking in the Andy Warhol style.
Lexi, your instructions were perfect! Move the panel, not the stamp
was brilliant, and so helpful!

A reminder that Andy Warhol chose an iconic image, and
repeated it, block print style, helped me choose Betsy's What the Doodle: Apple.
Remember, we have until Tues. morning to add our 'masterpieces'.

Stamp-A-Faire 2016 Pointillism Play with Heather Nichols

It's still Stamp-A-Faire in my house, so thankful I have
more time!
Heather Nichols shows us some 'Pointillism Play' with our stamps.

This beautiful stamp set was last year's Stamp-a-Faire exclusive.
The tiny little stamps and sentiment are also included in the set.
Background Basics: Galaxy creates her runway.
Clear Wink of Stella adds a bit of bling.
