SSS Wednesday Challenge

How's your summer so far?
Loving the summer challenges, like this mood board
from SSS and Jean Shurkus.

Cooling summer goodness everywhere I look.
We were asked to use SSS products if we could,
so I used a stencil, Bubbles and Bars, that kinda reminded me of under the sea.

The sentiment, Big Hugs, is also a die from SSS.
The stencil let me play with Ken Oliver Color Bursts.
First squeezing out the powder, then water misting it, bringing out the
rich, vibrant colors.
I felt like they were bit too vibrant, so I added the strip of vellum to mute a bit.
Strips of paper, torn, like the gorgeous sea photo, left bottom,
and seashells from PTI's Simple Seashells, inked with colors from
the color swatches.

Headed off to church now, but hope you feel the 'cool' hugs from
the card on this hot summer day!

  2. I'd say you definitely captured the feel of the mood board with this bright and fun card Nancy! Don't you just love playing with color bursts?! It's like magic to me to watch all the colors appear once you start adding the water! Love your sea shells too...think I need to move that set closer to the top of my PTI wish list! Lovely, lovely card!! :0)
