A Get Well Card

PapertreyInk's challenges are new every Wednesday, and one of them
Laurie's Fabulous Favorites,

is a challenge I'm joining today.
Laurie picked a photo inspiration and challenged us to do the same.

Here's mine:

A beautiful photo of Japanese cherry blossoms against a dreamy blue sky.

I chose the blooms and berries from PTI's Fresh Bouquet for my card.
The inks are Altenew's newest Spring collection, with copics for accents.
Nuvo's Copper Blush Embossing powder and copper sequins give a bit of bling,
and also added some splatters with Altenew's Magenta Ink.

Nothing better to get inky with a challenge, thank you Laurie!
Love the Wednesday challenges!

The stamps and dies are still on sale in the PTI shop.
My link will take you right to the store, and there's a die set to go
along with the stamps.

Wonder Stix Easter Cards

A Spring 'Hello' all my blogging friends!
I'm sharing a trio of cards made with some new coloring tools, won, (yes I won!)

They sent me a set of 24 Wonder Stix, and a very sweet note of congratulations.
I couldn't wait to play with my new crayons. and yes, they look like crayons,
but color and blend like pastels.

Ive been enjoying a new set of stamps from Altenew, 'Wallpaper Art'
another of their matchless florals, and stamped them with some of their
new inks out this spring.

Ist stamped in Marigold, then colored the petals with my new Wonder Stix.
The colors in the set are all pastel-y and blend beautifully!
I really didn't spend all that much time coloring, just wanted to see how they
blended. No dust, no odor, just easy placement with the tips.

I think I used a PTI color to stamp with on this card, probably Prairie Grass. I love
that softer faded green, and the pastels came alive against it's duller shade. Hard to
see, but also added Glossy Accents to the center of this bloom.

And one more with pinks and a soft lavender with ivory tips, is this card stamped with
Altenew's Limeaid and Fresh Leaf.

PTI Double Banner Die & Cutaway Tags: Spring (sentiment)

Hope you got some inspiration today. It's always fun to see how something new
on the market works out on paper. And I've just become their newest fan!
A big thanks to The Pencil Grip manufactures of Wonder Stix, and
the very talented, Ivana for hostessing the giveaway!

If you have any questions, I'd love to connect with you and answer.

Enjoy your day!

Wishing You a Joyous Easter

Playing with Altenew's gorgeous floral stamps, 'Wallpaper Art', and my
copics, I created an Easter card. Included in my order was the Layered Plaid
Cover A & B dies. I truly hated to cover the plaid die cuts up with anything,
but couldn't resist Eastery pastels with rosey copper Nuvo embossing powder
over the plaid.
The top plaid cover die is a lavender pink shimmer cardstock I've
had squirreled away forever!

I found a sentiment from PTI's Etched Eggs, and copper embossed that
as well. The tiny posies are from Altenew's Build A Flower: Poppy.

When I chose my copics I made sure they were full color, that is, 02, 04, and so forth.
The pastels pop a bit more with full hue.

Hope your weekend is full of fun and crafty goodness!
Working on more Easter cards I can't wait to share!

Just Saying Hello

Hi there! Hope you like floral cards, because this post is all about dancing
petals, wild rich color, and full of my love of florals.

Altenew has a challenge for the month of March, featuring a field of wondrous reds, greens
and soft grey blue.

Irresistible if you love lifelike flowers, multi stamping for realism, petals
that wave in the breeze, and stems and leaves that beg for shading,
you're familiar with Altenew'ss. Build a Flower series. I'm a fan.
Particularly my newest, Build a Fower: Poppy.
Sentiment: Build a Flower: Japanese Mum, white embossed on a
Stamplorations tag.

There are 3 stamps for each bloom; a linestamp and 2 stamps for
dimension. Once I stamped my 3 big blooms, I added copics for further depth.
Then did the same for my leaves. The smaller white flowers are included
in the set, and the trio of leaves I used to stamp the side panel, as well.

Also entering the Flower Challenge, Anything Goes, a blog challenge that
'celebrates cards using floral images'.

12 Kits of Occasions Party in the Park February '19

Welcome to February's 12 Kits' Post! I'm excited because this month I'm the hostess,
with a kit to celebrate the hope of spring... and a 'Party in the Park'. Outdoors,
friends and family and plenty of sunshine!
LOTS of cards, so let's get started...

1st off is a piñata from Pretty Pink Posh. Love the fact that you can go crazy with color.
He's hanging on a frame from PTI: Shape Shifters Square. The paper wasn't quite
bright enough, so touched up a bit with matching copics.
All this month's kits' supplies are on the 12 Kits blog, by the way.

The paper dictated this card's elements. Fussy cut flowers and a big 'hooray' from Spellbinders.
Color on the PTI shapeshifters die courtesy of Magicals.

A look back when carousels were in the center of fine parks. Used my metallic
watercolors for the seahorse, and colored the waves with copics.

Echo Park provided the balloon paper, PTI the frame and ballon shaker.

This carousel unicorn in pink is perfect for a girl's birthday!

The rose papers were included, and I combined them for this 'celebrate' card. One rose
paper for the background, and one fussy cut to surround the sentiment.

My favorite is this window tag I included in the kit, (PPP) with Altenew roses.
When you open the shutters, the words 'happy birthday to you' are inside from
one of the double sided papers.

Lastly, I included this little present bearing otter from Lawn Fawn.
Not sure if he belongs in a 'park', but I just loved him, and
had to pass the die cut on to my 12 Kits friends. After all, isn't he celebrating?

That's it from me. I hope you enjoyed February's kit. I loved gathering a bit of
Spring to share with my friends and all of you friends too.
Be sure to visit all of the designers on the blog. I can't wait to see what they've done
with the kit!

Love One Another

Inspired By has a challenge I wanted to join, 'Inspired by Love'
with this bright and love-ly photo,

Just had to ink up the new Altenew Build a Flower: Japanese Mum.

The mum stamp is a 3 stamp process, which packs a wow, no matter what colors you
use. I can't wait to try it with other inks.

I made a stencil with PTI's Cover Plate: Horizontal Stripes, and
sponge inked in Sweet Blush & Pale Peony.
PTI's Inspired By: Love sentiment and die cut.
Altenew Garden Treasure stamped posies in Kraft.

The mums remind of the poms in the photo.

The lighter pink mum is popped up with foam.

Thanks for the visit! If you'd like to play along,
you better hurry!

Also joining the Altenew flower challenge for this month

and The Flower Challenge,

And it is my latest flower acquisition (thank you Marcia!)

Hope your day is full of crafty goodness!

Inspired By....love

Day 1 25 Days of Christmas Tags

Hi everyone! It's more of '25 Days of Christmas Tags',
the brain child of my friend Tracey McNeely.
Lots of inspiration and lots of prizes!
Day 2 and I'm using Tracey's tag as my muse.
Altenew is her guest and sponsor.

And here's my tag

I used a stamp from Penny Black, called Berry Speckled, and a tag from PTI (#10),
and sentiment from Altenew's Halftone Holiday.

Praying for you

Hi! I'm playing along at a new challenge, for me, Muse.
My friend Tracey is the muse for the card challenge blog this week, and
we're asked to use her lovely card to inspire one of our own.

Tracey created this masterpiece of simplicity with Altenew florals.

Absolutely captivated by her one layer beauty with bright colors and
striking layout, and I followed it closely.

My Altenew florals come from Garden Treasure, sentiment from Bamboo Rose.

Sending You Hugs

Hello friends! The Card Concept's new challenge is this gorgeous
inspiration photo:

Are you as 'wowed' as I am? So many directions and styles you could choose.

Contrast of the red bloom against shimmering white satin drape was my starting point.
I selected Altenew's Build a Flower: Aster and Aster die, and stamped
the red Bold Bloom.

Lots of drama and and a sentiment banner to mimic the photo.
Here's the link to get you started, and to see the rest of the DT's inspiration:

PTI's Banner and sentiment
Background is a stencil from PTI's Make It Market: Garden Gate
Wendy Vecchi Embossing Paste (Gold and Silver)
A few sequins from my stash.

I'd say it falls under the category of Classy and Elegant.
Our challenge is for 2 weeks, and you can choose from the styles listed
on the Card Concepts's blog, or combine a few of them.

Happy Crafting! Hope to see your creation in the challenge lineup!
