12 Kits of Occasions: Crafty Friends Are The Best

Hello and welcome to the 12 Kits of Occasions, February post.
The fabulous Jeanne Jackna is our hostess this month. Her kit was full of projects
for friendship, especially our crafty friends! I loved every bit, thank you Jeanne!
Here's what I made:

Sweet Pure Innocence from MFT inspired this card. Jeanne supplied all the elements
with the exception of the easel (PTI: You're a Masterpiece). I had way too much fun
painting the mini landscape!

These paintbrushes from Waffle Flower are the cutest. Just had to combine
them on a pallet (Poppystamps) and frame them.

In our kits were all these wonderfully colorful and artsy designer papers.
I couldn't resist using as many as I could. This sweet little frame from Hero Arts
was perfect to frame one of the flowers.

I used several of the papers in the kit for this collage. Not a stamped image on this card.

These Crafty Critters are enjoying the day with each other.

Jeanne included these die cut wood stamps (C9), along with the foil scissors and b/w
designer paper. I had the Concord & 9th stamped paper already done, and created my
card around it. It's one their Turnabout series (Crafty Turnabout). I just made my ink
pads to match. The sentiment is from the same set.

And finally, this Reverse Confetti tag, came with the window popped out. Just
perfect for a flower stamp, also from Reverse Confetti, called Floral Gem.

I have several elements left over for more crafty goodness.
Can't wait to use them!

Thanks for the visit, and if you have some time, what'd you think? Did
you like a particular card? Mine has to be the first one, with the PI doll
painting her masterpiece. That was just too fun to do. I forgot to mention
I used puff paint on the clouds and mountains.

So hard to see, but irl the texture's there, and looks like wet paint.

Jeanne's invited 5 guests! Be sure to visit them and leave some love!

Keeping Christmas: February

Hello! And welcome to February's blog hop for 'Keeping Christmas'.
It's a card hop for inspiration, and just plain joy for doing our
Christmas cards any time of year.

2 cards with the same layout and stamp set from Concord & 9th's Christmas Florals
and a stamp called Woven Stripes.

1st card is stamped with Momento Northern Pine, and colored with copics.
The Merry and Christmas letters are die cut with shimmer card stock.
The centers of the poinsettia, Nuvo Gold drops. I wanted a down home country
very traditional look to my card, so the stripe stamp was turned and stamped
again for a plaid look.

If you like a more contemporary look for a card, this card's chrome and black is
on target. Same background stamp, this time, 1st white embossed, then stamped
with silver ink. Both times on the vertical.

Stamped with Jet Black Archival, and painted with Metallics, one of my
favorite mediums on rich dark cardstock.
If you look closely, the silver mirror letters are placed just above the stamped
black letters for a bit of shadow.

2 more cards for the Christmas pile! Still a long way to go, folks! But
it feels so good to get a stash going. Do you like creating Christmas cards
throughout the year? It sure helps during the busiest time of year, to have
some if not all of my Christmas greets done!
Be sure to check out all the designers on the hop for more inspiration.
Here's a list:

Christmas Card Ala C9

A Very Merry Christmas to all my blogging friends!
I'm sharing a few of the cards I'm sending out using Concord and 9th's new release
for the holidays. Together with a few oldies but goodies from them too!

If you follow C9 at all you're familiar with their Turnabout stamp sets, a real
favorite of mine. Holly Berry Turnabout is stamped 4 times in green, then 2
times in raspberry (Altenew Inks) I have the Turnabout jig which makes it super easy!
Silent Night stamps inside the oval window. Holly Berry sprig and berries.

Couldn't waste the die cut oval! One more card with Holly Berry greenery cut from
Shimmer cardstock. Mistletoe Messages sentiment.

I think I stamped 30 card fronts with the turnabout set, using different colors.
This one with Christmas Cottage stamp set taking center stage.

I ran this one through with an embossing folder, and inked the card a bit.

One more with green card stock.

Played around with some different Christmas greenery too.

This background created with Woven Stripes Background stamp.
Here's how I created the plaid: Stamped the allover stamp once, turned
and stamped again. Then filled in with a red pencil.

Couldn't stop with this technique, and experimented with different bg color card stock.
the bow and berries cut from C9's Holiday Foil Paper Pack.

Well that's it for some of my Christmas cards. Will be posting others with
sets from different companies soon!

Happy Holidays!

12 Kits of Occasions: November All is Calm All is Bright

The Holidays are upon us, and at 12 Kits our very special hostess, LindseyLarsen  from
Occasional Crafting has given us the perfect kit for the season.
Thanks to Lindsey, we always have the most gorgeous image photo.
She showcases each image, every paper, and captures perfectly the very
essence of each kit. This month was her turn, and she gave a kit full of Christmas.
So thankful for her thoughtful and carefully planned Christmas kit!
Here's what I did with 'All is Calm All is Bright.

I love the earthy colors and flora and fauna she provided. Honestly one of the easiest
kits to create with. Lindsey gave us everything we needed!

Really love the wow factor this jumbo ornament gave this card.

Lindsey gave us elements to create cards with the reason for the season.
So happy to have PTI's Petite Places Bethlehem so I could do a few cards with these
precious dies and sweet messages.

Concord and 9th bold black plaid bg, and copper script 'merry' on C&9's mirror green
card stock circle.

And finally this trio celebrating under the mistletoe!

Loved this kit, and love Lindsey for helping speed along my Christmas cards!
I'm working on a few more with my leftovers. I'll post them when done.

Merry Christmas Blessings!

12 Kits of Occasions July '19 Summer Fun

The end of July and time for 12 Kits of Occasions. This month our hostess is Marybeth
Lopez, from Marybeth's Time for Paper. And she sent us a kit full of summer's best!

Let's get right to it!

Lots of fun colorful papers from Echo Park. I fussy cut the word 'COOL' and used
my new frame dies from the Greetery. You'll see a lot more of them throughout my
post.

Nothing says summer like big bright blooms. These are Concord & 9th.

Marybeth sent a pale ink stamped image from Altenew, just perfect for
the soft look of watercolor pencils.

We got 2 'hello' die cuts from Poppystamps. I popped up this green one onto a weave of the
pretty EchoPark papers. The black dotty paper is actually Altenew's Washi tape on a piece
 of PTI's Berry Sorbet cardstock.

This one started out with the best intentions. I thought it would be fun to dress up the
top popsicle to look like it was melting. Glossy Accents would do the trick...
didn't exactly work the way I'd hoped. Oh well...

This final card is a thank you to Marybeth for a kit full of summer fun!

Enjoy all the posts from the 12 Kits' friends, and enjoy your summer!
Hope it's full of crafty goodness!

You Are So Loved

Today I have a card made for the latest 'Flower Challenge'.

Each month they challenge us to use our flower stamps with an emphasis on different
techniques 'celebrating cards using floral images.' ~LOVE~
Honestly, what brings more stamping joy than using florals?

I hadn't used Vintage Flower Stamp Set from Concord & 9th yet, and loved an excuse to
get it inky.
1st stamping a large floral image with Hero Arts Wet Cement, and coloring in only the top left
image, then adding a medallion of the floral image, with a few added pieces fussy cut,
to the top corner. The initial cardstock color is white. A favorite technique is to color in the
bg with soft grey to make the stamped images stand out. So vintage!

You can see how the corner piece is popped up with foam and a few berries were added

If you love using your floral stamps as much as I do, play along at the
Flower Challenge. You can enter 5 times, and this month there's a
prize for the winner!

Enjoy your week! Hope it's full of crafty goodness.

12 Kits of Occasions: May~ June Celebrations

It's 12 Kits time, and this month we feature all the celebrations of June
courtesy Tracey McNeely. Tracey sent us a whole host of images for
dads, grads, teachers, and those we want to thank.
I'm starting off with this Father's Day card for my hubs,

The reveal wheel says it all. As you turn the wheel, a new sentiment is revealed.

Next up, a card for a teacher.

My grandson will give this to his teacher. I love the sentiment!

Tracey included this Gerbera Daisy, I colored with copics.

Another Thank you card built around the letters that spell 'thanks'. The Concord & 9th
feathers border a panel that is a C9 turnabout I had in my stash.

And one more card celebrating a child's graduation.

Hope you're ready for summer, and summer's special celebrations. And
hope you found some inspiration today.
Lots more on the other 12 Kits blogs!

Thank you, Tracey! Loved every bit, especially all the fabulous plaid papers!
