2 Easter Cards, One stamp

I have a couple of cards made with a background stamp by the Stamp Market. The
company is new to me, but I'm sure everyone else has heard of and seen their
wonderful stamps. This one is called Floral Background.

The first is embossed with Nuvo's Shimmering Pearl powder, and inked with Ranger's
Distress Oxide Squeezed Lemonade ink.

Creative Expressions', Easter Bunny Egg die set really does all the work, with the
sentiment die cut into the trim. I colored a bit of the flora with Metallic Accents
watercolors by Art Philosophy. Stem and pink flowers from Altenew's Rose Flurries
3D Die set.

2nd card, again stamped with Versamark and embossed with Stampendous Aged
Bronze Enamel. Totally different look. The die cut roses are Altenew 3D roses.
Cut with color cardstock, they add elegance to any card!

Well, that's it sharing a new to me stamp, Floral Background.

and the rose card in Fusion's challenge"
I followed the sketch side.

Thanks for the visit, and hope your Easter week is filled with blessings!

Alleluia! Happy Easter

It's Easter week and I have so much to do, baking, shopping, playing with grandkids...
but somehow I found time to be in the craft room (early morning!) and create a card
for PapertreyInk's new challenge: Transformation Tuesday.
This week Melissa Phillips took a beautiful card she made, and simply
changed colors and styles.
I did a card for the Card Concept Challenge with Brushed Birds,

and a cover plate with branches.

With a few birds left over, decided to do the second card using the Shape Shifters: Circle 1 die,
together with Beautiful Berries: Spring, changing up the colors from aqua & yellow,
to Amethyst and Yellow. I added a bit of glitter to this one as well.

I enjoyed this challenge, transforming or tweaking a card a bit, using the same or similar elements
and stamps.

The Card Concept: Spring has Sprung

The Card Concept begins a new challenge today, very timely,
called: Spring Has Sprung.

Crisp white, bright sunny yellow, with a few color accents, guided my choice to
center a card around Easter, in a favorite style: Clean & Layered.

I was recently introduced to Lindy's Magicals, during a craft weekend (thank you Marcia Hill),
and created a bg for my birds with them, and a scrap left over from a die cut.
Marcia demonstrated  her Magicals, and I was hooked! You never know what will
turn out after the powder dries, and these little jars are filled with iridescent magic!

With the exception of the Magicals, and some sequins, my Clean and Layered card uses all PapertreyInk stamps & dies.
Inks are another new find from the Craft Weekend, Catherine Pooler Inks.
(Thank you, Colleen, Linda & Marcia!)

You will find links to each PTI product at the end of the post.
Hope you'll be inspired to play along.
A list of styles, and much more inspiration by the designers can be found on
The Card Concept Challenge Blog.
Happy Crafting!

Sending Easter Blessings

Made an Easter card and entering it with Color Throwdown, and
this inspiration:

My card features the new Flower Mandalas Die by Kay Miller.

The ombre stripes were a leftover from cutting a sponge inked panel.
Mix & Mat: Flourishes was the cut that produced the stripes.

Easter Blessings

Happy Saturday everyone!
Hope you're enjoying your weekend.
We've had rain the last few day, over 2", a blessing for all of us
in the Central Valley. Today has some sun peeking through,
just enough to take a photo of a card.

I don't usually do things this way, but this card came before
the challenge.
I googled and found an Easter Challenge blog, Crafting with Dragonflies,
and am playing along.

My PTI order took a long time to arrive, and couldn't wait to play
with a couple of beautiful dies, Cutaway Tags: Spring
and Mix & Mat: Flourishes.
I cut the tag from black card stock, and colored with Finetec Pearls.

The Finetec Pearls let you watercolor on black, or any color,
giving the image intense vibrant color with a pearl finish.
The sentiment was stamped with Versamark, then
heat embossed with copper.
The Mat frame was first sponge inked, then sprayed with
Mr. Huey's Shine Mist.

Easter Wishes

It's Blog Hop time at PTI, and this month we have inspiration by
artist Victoria Johnson.

I researched her a bit, and was inspired by her bright contrasts
and bold floral prints. Completely enchanting!

My card began with an A2 sized Hawaiian Shores card stock,
and except for the embossed sentiment, all die cuts.

Sequins: Neat & Tangled

Fusion Card Challenge: Flowers

Fusion challenge this week is to use their photo, or sketch or fuse the both.
I usually fuse the 2, but this week I chose the sketch.

Easter Greetings to all my 'bloggy' friends!
Wanted to do a special card for all those I've come to love.
Receiving and giving comments has come to be a joy filled time in my in my life.
Thank you for taking time to say the sweetest things!

Fusion #7

Fusion #7's inspiration: to choose the photo, the sketch, or fuse both.

I love playing with this challenge, and I love to fuse the 2 inspirations.
One of my first stamps was this large woodblock from Stampington
called 'Papillion'.

I've been playing with making my own bg papers, this wood one from a tutorial Melissa Phillips
did last week on Make It Monday.
It's a 3-D paint that has iridescence, so that set the stage for my dress form.
PTI cardstocks,
Oval: Lil Inkers
Copics
Sentiment 'Easter' from Cheery Lynn.
Dyed burlap strip
Wink of Stella

The spotted background paper is the byproduct of a PTI notebook page die cut.

A P.S. to this post, is a photo of the card with some purple dyed twine.
I removed it because it seemed just too much.
Ever do that?
I seem to love possibilities, until I do them, and then think, 'it's over done'.
It's a learning process, after all!
