Valentines

It's almost Valentine's Day, and I've been playing with some beautiful foiled paper
by Rinea. If you're not familiar with the product, it's either starstruck pattern or
double sided foiled paper and comes in a pack.
It embosses in a folder beautifully, and cuts easily in a die. The solid colors are
double sided and react with a pad they call 'Ghost Ink'. I found some very
helpful instruction on YouTube.

This card was cut with Memory Box: Ferrand Heart, a favorite from a few year's
back. The background is watercolored with a new paper from Poppystamps.

The second card uses Rinea papers too, the silver heart die cut & embossed, and
the red first stamped with ghost ink, then die cut. Also a watercolored background.

I couldn't wait to use this new product (new to me), and love it! I've already got plans
to make some Easter cards with some of the gorgeous colors they have.

Thanks for the visit, hope you enjoyed!

12 Kits of Occasions October: Happy Fall Y'All!

Just look at all those yummy fall colors! Hi everyone! It's time for 12 Kits' monthly
post, and we're coming to you a day early this month, 'cuz you know what
tomorrow is...

Our Hostess with the Mostest is Sharron Gregory from onpapillonwings,
and she sent us this beauty of a fall kit!
I loved every bit! Thank you Sharron!
And although I don't do it often enough, a great big THANK YOU to
our photo engineer Lindsey for making all of us hostesses look good
with our product photo!

Are you ready for some fall fun?

Sharron sent some wonderful papers, and I tried to use some on each card. You can't believe
how many I have left over! All products are listed on the product page on our blog.

Sometimes it's so hard to use the wonderful items sent to us, but just had to combine
the birch tree and fence with a couple of Fall Friends from MFT.

More Fall Friends

Sharron sent this wonderful leaf frame die cut from watercolor cardstock. just had to make
a shaker with it, and some of the gorgeous leaves she also sent!
The 'Thanks' die was embossed with copper ep 3 times.

Last is this pre-stamped tag with a cup of cider. Hard to see, but after
coloring, I GA-ed the apple.

Well that's it from me for this month. Hope you enjoyed all the fall themed
cards. Don't forget to visit all the 12 Kits Designers. We love your comments!

The Card Concept Challenge: Floral Centerpiece

Welcome to a new challenge at the Card Concept.
Every 2 weeks, on Wednesday, there's a new photo inspiration.
This week it's this lovely spring vase of flowers.

I celebrated a birthday a few weeks ago, and my friend, Jeanne Jackna sent
me a Memory Box die called: 'Florina Corner'.
Layering dies became the floral centerpiece of my Classy Elegant card.

With a watercolored background, I die cut the Florina Corner and copic colored the
flowers and leaves and stems.
The banner is a PTI stamp and die set, with an ombred sentiment.

My links will take you to the PTI stamps and dies.
Thank you for using my affiliate links!

12 Kits of Occasions: January '17 'Snow Day'

I'm so glad you came by today for a visit. There's so much to see!
It's time for 12 Kits' January post, and our hostess this month is
the fabulous Jeanne Jackna. (A Kept Life)
Jeanne's kit is all about winter, full of sweet happy papers, snowy
images, and die cuts, and of course because it's 'Queen Jeanne', lots
of accessories! Honestly, she's the most generous crafter I know and a genius with dp!
So get cozy and let's take a look at Snow Day!

Oh those Memory Box skates! Love them to bits! Gave the blades a silvery tone with a pen,
and matched them with one of Jeannes' silver snowflake charms.

Poppystamps Wintertime Fairies fly over a PTI Mix & Mat: Snowflakes die.

Oh yes, Jeanne included the twine, a color I didn't have in my stash.

These sweet friends from Pretty Pink Posh just look better together.

See that little muffled bird on the banner? A piece of leftover dp Jeanne included, cut
with a scrap from a Poppystamps die.

I guess you can imagine what fun it was getting this kit and putting everything together.
This sledding cub just seemed to go with the sentiment!

Memory Box snowflakes: Evangeline

No way did I use all the papers and elements and bling in Jeanne's kit.
Plenty leftovers for More!

Can't wait to see what my teammates made with their kit.
We have 2 guests this month,
Cathy Weber from Empty Nests Crafter, an original member of the group that Jeanne
invited back.
Richard Breaks - That's Mister Cardmaker to You
and the winner of last month's comments: Marcia Hill - Marcia's Stampin' Pad.
Please go by for a visit and leave some love on their blogs!

Thank You, Jeanne! Loved every single bit!

Dashing through the Snow

It's the day after Thanksgiving, better known as 'Black Friday' to savvy shoppers,
and we're bringing you a new challenge at Tag You're It.
It's a great excuse to stay home today, away from the crowds and create a tag.

Our featured artist for this challenge, is Jessica Frost-Ballas, and she's given us this
frosty pink yummy to case.

And here's some more inspiration from me:

Loved the pink, loved the snowflakes, and cased her deer with a stag head at the tag's top.
Created a shaker with a iridescent sequin mix from Poppystamps.
the window is also from Poppystamps: Evangeling Floating Square.
Platinum embossed wood snowflakes scattered on top.
Sentiment is an old Memory Box die called Curved Dashing.
There's plenty of inspiration on the Tag You're It blog from our designers. Come by and take a look.
You have 2 weeks to play along. We love to see what you do.
Thank you Jessica, for a beautiful tag to inspire us!

12 Kits of Occasions October '17: Boo to You!

Happy Halloween Greetings! It's the day before the spooking begins, and
12 Kits of Occasions is bringing you October's post today.
This month I'm the hostess, and I had such a good time putting together a not too frightful
kit for all my teammies.

Thanks to Lindsey, our resident genius when it comes to photographing a bit of
everything included in the kit. Mwah!

No time to waste, hope your cuppa is handy, I have a ton to show you!

Let's start with some brew from Frantic Stamper to kick things off.
By the way, if anything catches your eye, there's a list of products used in the kit
on the 12 Kits blog.

It truly is 'All About the Candy'

Not too long ago Marybeth used this boxcard die from Reverse Confetti on one of her projects.
Had to have it, and loved adding some of the designer papers to decorate it. The haunted town
die cut was included in the kit.

Funny story, my teenage granddaughter is afraid of spiders, which always seem to show up in our
house when she's visiting. Guess who got this card for Halloween? 'Grandma, you're so mean!'

You have to have a shaker in the lineup. The die's from Memory Box.

Kept this card simple to showcase this trio from Impression Obsession.

Does anyone really eat candy corn? But it's like the symbol of Halloween!

I think I used this stamp and die set from Poppystamps more than any other this season.
They are just so darn cute!

Still with me? My last (I promise!) card uses puff paint (Tsukineko Neon Amplify)
to give my pumpkins some dimension.
And that's it for this hostess. Hope you enjoyed it. And hope you visit each and every
teammie and leave some love on their blogs.
I have a prize to give one winner of our drawing, so don't forget to comment!

Hugs, and Happy Halloween!

12 Kits of Occasions 'Hello Fall'

Hello Fall!
And hello to all of you!
It's time for 12 Kits of Occasions, a group of friends who loves to craft.
Our hostess this month is the fabulously talented Marybeth Lopez,
from Marybeth's Time for paper.
She sent us a kit full of autumn joy! So let's get right to it.

I'm leading off with the card I posted on the 12 Kits blog, and the adorable Purple Onion pup and wagon. Pumpkins are PTI: Autumn Scarecrow.
Marybeth included the kiwi twine in our kit.

Adore this scarecrow! From PTI's release last month.
copic colored with sheaves of wheat, also from PTI: Give Thanks

Here's one that was easy breezy. This sweet pumpkin card was ready to add to designer paper.
I fussy cut the thank you banner, and the Autumn Berries branch (PTI) was already on my work table.

When one of these kits comes in the mail, the first thing I do is pair up dp with die cuts.
This wonderful cart from PTI's Make It Market, just seemed made for the autumn tree paper!
(Frame: PTI Cover Plate: Pretty Frame)

I slipped this sentiment inside the Memory Box Pinpoint frame, and watercolored and added the leaves to my sponge inked card. (Poppystamps)

Finally a shaker with the lovely embossed Serendipity Maple Leaf and Quote.

Be sure to visit all the team to see what they did with their kits.
I love going over to their blogs and thinking, 'this is so clever!'
Happens every month, folks. I love this talented team!

A great big mwah! to Marybeth for her fall kit!
Loved playing with every bit, and still have more left over!

Hugs, all!

Slider card

Hi! I'd like to introduce you to a new slider die from Memory Box.
Honestly, never did a slider card before, but with this die set, I'm hooked!
Have you ever made one?
This die set makes it so easy!

And, it's my first video! (Thanks to son Ryan, who filmed while I operated the slider!)

I put it together with a new stamp set from Poppy called 'Wintertime Fairies.'

Your could win a stamp set of your choice, and these versatile sliders by leaving a
comment on Poppy's blog. Be sure to see what each of the designers do with this fun new die set.
