Love Birds

It's a gray morning here in my neck of the woods (valley),
perfect for staying indoors, watching the cooking channel,
and being creative with PTI's latest stamps and dies.

Stephanie Gold's video for MIM this week,
shows us it's OK to use many different kinds of papers for our cards.

My colorful bg paper is actually a napkin. Bright and bold, with b&w dots, I decided to
bring out all the brights from PTI.
The sentiment die is Enclosed: Heart, cut from glitter paper and Raspberry Fizz
cardstock.
I have a stash of vintage music papers my daughter gave me, and among them was
one with the words, 'sweet - heart'.
(I know, you don't luck out with that happening often, right?)
I pink inked the edges before all the gluing.
Next was to take my pink crepe paper, gather it, and heat emboss with
Stampendous: Shabby Pink Embossing Enamel.

I've seriously crushed over every card I've seen made with the new Brushed Birds set.
These 2 are the small birds stamped with PTI Pinks.

Speaking of crushing, the Farmer's Market Florals? It's going to be hard not
to use them for ALL projects! Gorgeous. I stamped the leaves, first with Fine Linen
then with Vintage Jadeite. Made for an interesting color combo.
The sweet ferns are from Make It Market: Wonderland Kit. (Olive Twist ink).

A sprinkling of sequins, because, why not, and my card is ready for
someone special. Probably the DH. He's a keeper!

Paper Sweeties '12 Days of Christmas', Day 3

Welcome to a special Paper Sweeties Release
called the 12 Days of Christmas!
Instead of mid month release,
we have 12 days  featuring
our newest stamps and sweet cuts.
Hope you have your favorite cuppa handy,
I have a lot to show you!

1st off, a banner created entirely of Sweet Cuts tree and star from
Merry and Bright.

Top tree cut from October Afternoon's Under the tree.
Cut again from Kraft to adhere to the jute twine.
The bow is from Stitched Tags 2, also cut twice.
Between the 7 trees is a star cut from the new set.

Super fun and easy!
If you have stacks of Christmas dp (like I do), this is a great way to use
all that fun festive paper!

Debbie has sized these trees at a perfect 3 1/2", great for tags,
and like I used them, for a banner.

Next up features the coordinating stamp set Merry and Bright.

Talk about fun, this set comes complete with garland, lightbulb, ornament,
  tree stand, and several sentiments.
I 'decorated' my tree in pink, (Paper Sweeties pink!)

I added Glossy Accents and glitter to the ornies and bulbs,
and inked up a die cut tree.

Next up is the other new set called Sugar and Spice

Once again, cut from the new Sweet Cuts die set,
stamped with versa mark and white ep,
my pink gingerbread man is happily decorated
with PS chenille canes and PS sequins.

Red zig zag also from the set!

Finally, from the new set, Sugar and Spice tags.

We have a new baby boy in our extended family.
This sweet tag is perfect with blue and white 'icing'
for Baby's First Christmas.

The snowflake collar is from Homemade With Love.
I gathered 3 stamp sets to create 'Baby's 1st Christmas',
and hand wrote the 's, and st.
Want to see the tag in pink?

12 Kits of Occasions, Sept. 2014Use your leftovers & Tag You're It Challenge #7

Posting a couple of cards for 12 kits of  Occasions,
using our leftovers.
As a guest back in April, Jeanne Jackna sent out a treasure trove
of goodies, most of which I've used over the months.
Did have this beautiful script, floral paper, and frame,
made it into a shaker.

The paper and ribbon was also leftovers from her box.

This was a die cut, sent in the card stock.

What to do with the actual die cut?

Simply showcased fern.

I loved being invited by this group of uber talented designers,
and enjoyed playing with all the fun fancies Jeanne included!
To see all the goodies over the months,
make a visit to Kara's blog,

She takes you through the year with pictures!
