Be Still and Know

Another scripture card made with Betsy's new stamps and dies. I'm completely in love with
the Greetery's Fleur Impressions. The 3 step stamps + stamens = the look of an Impressionist
painting . Tucked into the terrrarium with verse was a joy to create.

I stamped the background before adding the solid terrarium die cut. Then built the scene
within the terrarium.

All Altenew Inks. Talk about vibrant! Love the many colors and how glorious they
stamp!

Hope you have a wonderful week. Plan to spend time planting some
much needed color in some pots outside. Hope you don't mind if I
post some pictures when they're done...

A Lovely Birthday

Good Monday Morning!
I'm playing along with Win It Wednesday, Laurie's Fabulous Favorites.
This week Laurie challenges us to use our favorite coloring techniques.
I've chosen a couple for my birthday card.

Ink stenciling is a favorite for a subtle background.
And above all others, watercolor. So relaxing, and always a delight to
see where the water will take the color.

The leaves were shaded with copics, another favorite.
Getting this one under the wire.
Hope your week is full of crafty goodness!

A Get Well Card

PapertreyInk's challenges are new every Wednesday, and one of them
Laurie's Fabulous Favorites,

is a challenge I'm joining today.
Laurie picked a photo inspiration and challenged us to do the same.

Here's mine:

A beautiful photo of Japanese cherry blossoms against a dreamy blue sky.

I chose the blooms and berries from PTI's Fresh Bouquet for my card.
The inks are Altenew's newest Spring collection, with copics for accents.
Nuvo's Copper Blush Embossing powder and copper sequins give a bit of bling,
and also added some splatters with Altenew's Magenta Ink.

Nothing better to get inky with a challenge, thank you Laurie!
Love the Wednesday challenges!

The stamps and dies are still on sale in the PTI shop.
My link will take you right to the store, and there's a die set to go
along with the stamps.

The Card Concept Challenge: Cottage Florals

It's Cottage Florals at the Card Concept Challenge, and we have this beautiful
rustic photo for inspiration.

Lots of fussy cutting for my Clean and Layered card, using
PTI's SAF 2018 Community Garden.

Mix & Mat Postal gave me the rustic background I was looking for, tied with a bit of
twine.
Play along for 2 weeks. At the Card Concept, you can choose one of our styles, or use
one of your own. Can't wait to see what inspired you!

Enjoy your week!

Win It Wednesday with Laurie

Win It Wednesday is Papertrey's new challenge... on Wednesdays.
Laurie asks us to choose a favorite PTI color and create with it.
Once again, how do you pick from all the wonderful colors in
the PTI line up?

Laurie narrowed it down to 2, so I chose 2 too.
Scarlett Jewel is one I thought no one would pick, and I decided to give it some love.
And Honey Nut is so rich and vibrant, I picked it as well.
But don't tell Laurie, I love all the PTI colors... equally. It really just
depends on season and mood, and whether it's Christmas or Easter, or
maybe if I'm using white or Kraft. See what I mean?
I love winter, and the deep rich colors that go with it, so Scarlett Jewel it is!

Play along for the week of the 13th - 20th.

Praying for you

Hi! I'm playing along at a new challenge, for me, Muse.
My friend Tracey is the muse for the card challenge blog this week, and
we're asked to use her lovely card to inspire one of our own.

Tracey created this masterpiece of simplicity with Altenew florals.

Absolutely captivated by her one layer beauty with bright colors and
striking layout, and I followed it closely.

My Altenew florals come from Garden Treasure, sentiment from Bamboo Rose.

The Card Concept Challenge: Floral Centerpiece

Welcome to a new challenge at the Card Concept.
Every 2 weeks, on Wednesday, there's a new photo inspiration.
This week it's this lovely spring vase of flowers.

I celebrated a birthday a few weeks ago, and my friend, Jeanne Jackna sent
me a Memory Box die called: 'Florina Corner'.
Layering dies became the floral centerpiece of my Classy Elegant card.

With a watercolored background, I die cut the Florina Corner and copic colored the
flowers and leaves and stems.
The banner is a PTI stamp and die set, with an ombred sentiment.

My links will take you to the PTI stamps and dies.
Thank you for using my affiliate links!

Birthday Peonies

PTI's June Blog Hop features this inspiration:

Ombre delight, right?

So many directions to go in, I went the ombre of course,
the transparency, (watercolors), and the sweet blooms with their
 pink/coral hue.

Sponge inked and splattered background, (Aqua Mist & Spring Rain)
Peonies On Parade, 1st white embossed, then watercolored
with Kuretake pan colors.
Love to 'ombre' each petal on the flowers!
Ways to Say Birthday die cut from glitter card stock.
Panel backed with foam dots and adhered to Ombre Stripes Pattern Paper.
So much inspiration on these hops, can't wait to see everyone's take today!

I'm off to church, and home soon to visit and comment!

Bride & Groom

Hello Card Concept fans! It's time for a new challenge,
and we have this inspiration photo as inspiration:

So much to choose from, right?
I focused on the pink & gold, together with the ampersand symbol
for my Classy Elegant card.

I started with Betsy Veldman's Luxe Letterpress set from PTI,
and combined the blooms from PTI's Gran's Garden.
Can't wait to see what inspires you.

Hello

MIM, is with Stephanie Gold, one of PTI's new designers.
She expertly shows us a striking technique of creating
window chipboard sentiments.

I did my 'Hello' with some pattern card stock I had,
glued it to a black foam board,
and die cut my window.
So nice to use Ruby Rose, hadn't inked that set in a while.
Did a bit of masking to add leaves and bottom posie.

Inside the card

The card and matching envelope.

I've been doing envelopes from PTI's matching pattern card stock,
and loving how they turn out! A bit sturdier than regular envelopes,
and that way hide the bumps and bling on the cards.

edited to add: the envelope was created by a punch board tool
by We R Memory Keepers. Here's the link on Amazon.
It's a real 'must have' if you like making your own!

PTI's 10th Anniversary Celebration: 2011

2011 was an outstanding year for me and stamping...
I found PapertreyInk!
I can trace back my first timid order online to Sept. of that year.
I don't think I've missed a release since then!

All the images in Garden Variety are favorites,
especially this sweet watering can!
