The Flower Challenge: Sketch

Greetings flower lovers!
I'm once again playing along with The Flower Challenge. This time it's a sketch challenge.

Here's the card I made

I had such fun making this card and here's why... most of the card elements were
already made!

I stamped the background with Poppystamps: Flower Garden in many colors
and had this panel stamped in yellow ready for a card.
The black trellis is from Altenew's Layered Plaid Cover Die A, and cut
selectively to look like a trellis. This is was also in my stash.
Poppystamps: Garden Poppy Stitched Frame, is the sweet little frame with
the 2 poppies,
and the large flower and sprig are from Flora & Fauna, called Happy Flowers.
The large flower was black embossed and colored with Polychromos pencils.
The sprig was black stamped, then GAed for shine.
The other 2 smaller flowers are Poppystamps Little Kindness, also colored with
pencils.

Love that sentiment from Flora & Fauna's Happy Flowers!
I didn't do a good joy photographing the Glossy Accents, which I put
in the centers of each flower.

This photo is a bit better.

The Flower Challenge closes on the 25th.
Thanks for visiting! Hope your week is off to a crafty start!

Sending You Hugs

Hello friends! The Card Concept's new challenge is this gorgeous
inspiration photo:

Are you as 'wowed' as I am? So many directions and styles you could choose.

Contrast of the red bloom against shimmering white satin drape was my starting point.
I selected Altenew's Build a Flower: Aster and Aster die, and stamped
the red Bold Bloom.

Lots of drama and and a sentiment banner to mimic the photo.
Here's the link to get you started, and to see the rest of the DT's inspiration:

PTI's Banner and sentiment
Background is a stencil from PTI's Make It Market: Garden Gate
Wendy Vecchi Embossing Paste (Gold and Silver)
A few sequins from my stash.

I'd say it falls under the category of Classy and Elegant.
Our challenge is for 2 weeks, and you can choose from the styles listed
on the Card Concepts's blog, or combine a few of them.

Happy Crafting! Hope to see your creation in the challenge lineup!

My Cup Runneth Over

Like visiting an old friend, running across an old and much loved stamp set
that hasn't seen ink in a long time, brings joy to this stamper.

MIM this week had me going through my PTI sets and finding an oldie,
Tea For Two Additions.

Our hostess this Monday is Stephanie, and she challenged us to Add color to our Outline Images.

The Tea for Two set has solid, or nearly solid images, and the outline and sentiment I
wanted to use.

I added the little flower from Stitching garden, and a leafy image from the 2018
Anniversary Set.

The following are the sets I used. If you click them, it will take you to the sets
in the PTI shop.

Thanks for visiting, and have great week!

PTI's 10th Anniversary Celebration: 2010

It's 2010 at PTI, and we're celebrating that year's release.
Among the sets is one of the Year of the Flowers Series, Sweet Peas.

I've used this set many times. Love the graceful lines of
it's flower images, and that it lends itself to endless forms of coloring.
Here's one of the cards done for a challenge.

And here's the new version, using the single sweet pea.

I went to internet and found this photo of real sweet peas, in their natural glorious color.

I used my tube watercolors to try and capture the sweet pea's brilliance.
Truthfully, nothing comes close to God's handiwork!

Each bloom is climbing the trellis on Betsy's wonderful card stock
from Make It Market: Garden: Gate.
Sentiment from: Wreath for all Seasons.

Are you playing along this week? It's been such fun visiting the older sets.
Not to mention, Nichole is offering prizes if you enter each day!
See you in the lineup!

PTI's 10th Anniversary: 2008

We're celebrating 2008 with PTI, and 5 sets from the year's
originals.

My inspiration came from Melissa's floral card celebrating Flower Garden.

She white embossed the edge stamp, then stamped it again a bit offset,
then used her watercolors to fill in the petals.
Loved the look!
I used the stamps from Oopsie Daisey, and the sentiment and little
flower from Happiness In Bloom.
Plaid paper from Beautiful Beads Pink & Orange Mix.

Paper Sweeties March Release Countdown!

We're back for Paper Sweeties' March Release Countdown!
More fun inspiration with the new stamps and dies.

The adorable frog and flowers are stamped and copic colored on one of the new dies
from Stitched Tags #1, and then on a double cut stitched tag (navy and white).
These new tags are must haves, and I added a stamped and die cut bow that is also
in the set.
Frog, flowers and sentiment from I Pick You, released tomorrow.
See you tomorrow!
Yesterday I forgot to welcome another teamie, Kathy Schweinfurth. Mawah! (that's a big blown kiss!)
Be sure to go by her blog to see her wonderful inspiration.

Paper Sweeties February Release Sneak Peak!

It's February 13th, and,
are you ready for a couple of new stamp and die sets from Paper Sweeties?
Spring is around the corner, and flowers, buds and blooms are peeking our everywhere.
I'm featuring both sets called Pretty Posies and Garden Time

The dies make it so easy to paper piece, but I did cut my rosebuds from the middle of the
bloom.
Colored them and the pot with copics.
No sentiment on the front.
My plan is to add one on a tag when I need it.
Do you have cards like that?
All ready for any occassion?

These are the PS Design Teamies that have some more peaks for you.

and white sponge inked.

Tag created with PTI's Filled With Joy
