A Little Sunshine Mends the Soul

I'm back from a week with my daughter, who recently moved

to a town near Disneyland. Yes, I went to Disneyland, yes we went

to the beach, yes, a day shopping in Costa Mesa, and YES, swam 

every day and ate too much!

Catching up with my cardmaking, and watched Lizzie's video on

the PTI blog. She calls it, 'Repeating the Greeting'.

Had to break out the new stamps!

Did a little digging to find a sentiment, and found just what I wanted

in Quilted: Summer.

Popped up a few of the die cuts and shadow stamped the embossed 'Sunshine'.

I'm seriously dreaming of beach days with the grandkids. It was heavenly...

PTI July '18 Blog Hop

Let Your Light Shine

MIM this week with Laurie Wilison, showing us how she 

masks her backgrounds. Her video, is full of 

Laurie masking tricks, such as tape to use and how to best 

apply your die cut sentiment.

Make It Monday #250: Masked Backgrounds

I love the effects you can get doing the masking, using color,

arranging the mask to suit your stamps.

I used the Guiding Lights stamp set and masked the front, both for border

and to showcase the light.

What the Doodle: Waves die and stamps.

Laurie added water droplets, didn't think I needed them, so left them out.

Americana and Stormy Sea Inks.

Sponging done with Spring Rain, Aqua Mist, Harvest Gold.

Love the sentiments in this set, especially this one!
