Inspired By... Vintage Linens

Hi, I'm glad you're here. I was visiting a friend's blog and was introduced to  a new challenge blog
I hadn't seen before. The inspiration photo instantly won my vintage loving heart.

My card uses some PTI stamps that came closest to the front linens in the photo.

All the stamps and dies are listed below, and if you click on the ones you like it will
take you to the PTI store.

Pink Mailbox

Happy New Year!

And just so happy to be back in my craft room.
Had a houseful over the holidays, and enjoyed a trip to Tahoe,
only to come home to my mom very very ill.
So the craft cave was eerily quiet for a while.
Just means I LOVE being back, well, doing what I love!

PTI has been going through some changes lately, but one thing that is the same
is their yearly 'A La Carte', where we can choose from the many wonderful MIM tutorials
and play again with a favorite.

I choose a few to combine, Melissa's Background Stamping, and Laurie's Love of Layers.
Now, truthfully, I'm all about layering, and combining my sets, which just seem to all
play well together.
Hope you enjoy a little crafting too. It just starts the year off great!

Christmas cottage shaker

I did a Christmas card for a challenge I don't think I've
played along with before,
52 Christmas Card Throwdown.
Their theme this week is: Old Fashioned Christmas

My heart beats a little faster when someone hints vintage!

I used a couple of sets from PapertreyInk, Make It Market: Don't Forget to Write
and Post & Parcel, and stamped my cottage from PTI's Winter Village.
My 'snow' is also from Post & Parcel (stencil included in the kit).
Card base is a die from Don't Forget to Write.
You can find 52 CCT here:

and play along for another 4 days

Have a great week!

Christmas Card times 6

Laurie has an interesting challenge for us this week, on Make It Monday.
Setting up an assembly line for our card making.

I did create 6 cards, taking my time to add the various levels and layers,
something I love to do. Total therapy for a card lover's soul!

The house is from Winter Village, stamped in the colors of our home.
From there, what scene to put my home in, was my challenge.
Simply love the Holiday Greens Borders, and dies and it's possibilities.
The tiny wreath on the door is from Home For the Holidays.
It just fit perfectly!
Here's a photo of the bg, before the die cuts were added:

First stamped the pine needles, a bit lower than the top of the card,
so they would show under the top level, and inked the top
Using a stencil created from In the Meadow, the snowy hills
took shape.

Next came the spruce branch die, heat embossed with
Stampendous: Aged Green Embossing Enamel,
popped up with foam.

I thought of adding the berries to one corner.
Too busy?
What do you think?

Finally the stamping, and die cuts were added, along with the
sentiment and some tiny flat sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.
Stickles Crystal provided the 'snow'.
I plan to spend today adding some pizazz to the inside,
and envelopes too.
Thanks for looking at my process!

PTI Inks: Ripe Avocado, Fine Linen, Classic Kraft, Olive Twist,
Spring Rain, Ocean Tides, Scarlet Jewel, Cocoa Bean, & Saffron Spice.
