Hello Sweet Friend

Hello, sweet friends! I'm up on the Poppystamps blog today, with a
watercolor card full of spring blooms! Pop on by to see how I used my
new Arteza pens to create my scene.

Can't wait for the real thing, (blooms that is) in my neck of the woods!

Have a blessed weekend!

Watercolor Thanks

Hi, playing along (again!) with Cas Watercolour Challenge.

Bonnie and Loll have given us the theme, 'Autumn',
for the month of October.
Sunflowers are in full bloom everywhere right now,
gorgeous reminders of fall sunshine. I chose the lined drawn sunflower
 from PTI's Botanical Blocks.

Sharing a couple of techniques with you.
First, to color onto dark card stock: painted on bleach
within the embossed image,
When dry, watercolored with Zig pens.
Background dry embossed with PTI's Bloom Builder's die.
Then spritzed with water, and colored randomly with watercolors.
Flicked Terracotta Tile and Ripe Avocado Inks, (PTI), after the
background was dry.
Thanks from Swoosh dies.

Olive Twist cardstock: PTI
Watercolor cardstock: Canson
Card base: Rustic White: PTI
'Thanks': PTI's Cream shimmer

Happy Holidays

MIM this week with Danielle, has us
splattering our projects, something I already love to do!
It's always great to learn a few of the designer's special
tricks, and Dani has plenty to share!

I couldn't wait to break open Winter Woods, a new set with beautiful bold winter birds.
White frost splatter created with: Mister Huey's Color Mist Shine.
Sentiment from Botanical Blocks 3.
Twinkling H2O's watercolors

edited to add my bird card to
Merry Monday, where the theme is Birds

Yesterday we kicked off the holidays with a trip to the Moscow Ballet's
traveling production of the Nutcracker.
Ron and I took our Analise and Reagan, ages 11 & 10.
It was magical!

Part of the package tickets were nutcracker dolls with the
event & date engraved on the bottom.

Grandpa snapped these pix with an iPhone, not bad for a phone!
If the production comes to your town, don't miss it!
The sets, costumes and performers were wonderful!
