Poppystamps Challenge Reminder

Hi there, Poppy Peeps! This is a reminder that there's a challenge going on
at Poppystamps.
Fall and Scary Things!
Check it out and play for a chance to win a 25. gift certificate to the store!

I made some treat bags for inspiration. You know Halloween is right
around the corner!

I loved Halloween Costume Cats ever since their release last year. So darn cute!
Paired them up with a die from this year, Leafy Wreath Collage.

Each of my tags got a different colored tag behind the cutout (and to write on), and a
clothespin covered in washi.

Check out the Poppystamps blog to see exactly how I made them.

And remember, we have a Blog Blitz going on. Comment for a chance to win!

Birthday Wreath

Hi there, I'm playing along with Concord and 9th, where 'Anything Goes'.

I just love C9, and their new release was wonderful. This is one of their new sets,
So Happy For You, that I paired with Floral Hoop Dies.

Play along for a few more days (it ends the 26th).

The Card Concept: Retro Holiday

Welcome to a new post for the Card Concept Challenge.

Retro Holiday ~ Sheer joy!
Here's some inspiration for you.

I tried to recreate the feel of that fabulous wreath with the baubles from PTI's Vintage Ornaments 2,
and this Clean & Elegant Card.
Lots of masking, and a few stamped images from Cloche Quarters: Winter.
Sentiment die: Big Ticket Basics
There are plenty of styles you can choose from.
See them all and more inspiration from our designers on the Card Concept Challenge Blog.
Good luck and happy crafting!

Create Along With Us - Happy Birthday

Create Along With Us, time, at PTI, as we enjoy the designers' creations,
and find inspiration from every beautiful card!
This card by Laurie Schmidlin, hi lighting a new set
this month, Ivy & Bloom, caught my eye. To be truthful, every card
has elements that are standouts, and I love to file away all the
clever details each month. But take another look at Laurie's card.

Pale grey on a white bg, window with sentiment inside, colorful accents,
wreath like frame with floral accents, and color combo,
That's what I cased.

My card was built on the Garden Garland die, cut from Soft Stone card stock.
All those pretty posies are also from the die set.
The window is cut from the smaller die from Fun Frames.
Sentiment: Lovely Lace.
Berry Sprigs: Beautiful Berries: Spring
Laurie backed her top window with foam, lifting it up, (which I wish I had done.)
Black dots complete the card.

Laurie's colors were something I just had to duplicate.
Loved this combination, and intend to use it again.

Season's Greetings

Merry Monday, this week, has a 'challenging' challenge,
Gray, White & Red...

Sweet Brigit Norton from Crafting While I wait,
sent me this fabulous bg from Tim Holtz (don't know
if it's still available), and I knew just what to do with it.

Wreath and spray: PTI's Twig Wreath
Sentiment: PTI's: Botanical Blocks 1V
Banner: PTI's: Tag Sale 10
Brick inked with Distress Ink: Fired Brick
All my die cuts were colored with Papertrey's greys,
Soft Stone, Stormy Sea & Smokey Shadow.
I wove some grey twine through my wreath and added
sequins for a bit of bling.

MIM #234: Embellishing with Felt

I love PTI's felt, so when Ashley challenged us to use
felt on our projects this week,
I looked for a die that would cut a pretty embellish!

Ashley's beautiful cards can be seen here:

Thought I'd use some non traditional coloring,
so began by die cutting Rustic Wreath twice in
Aqua and Pinefeather.
(I know it looks black but it's super dark green)

Twig Wreath Pattern Paper
Stripe Vellum
Christmas Cheer die cut with Coral glitter paper
Fab Flakes stamps and die
Confetti Toss stamp set.

Hope you're week is a good one!
