A new stamp & die released this month, called With Love
is a delicately detailed heart shape
with cutouts and scallops (LOVE!)
Debbie blessed me with a package of PS sequins for Christmas,
pastel heaven!
Just had to add them to this feminine card!
The leaves are cut from Be Happy Sweet Cuts

Paper Sweeties Plan Your Life Series

Hello Paper Sweeties fans!
Today's the day for PS new line release, Plan Your Life Series.
Do you use a planner?
I prefer a calendar, being able to see the whole month in a glance.
Whatever you use to keep track of your life busy moments,
PS has some fun stamps for you.

Debbie even has a planner for you!
Let me show you some of the ways I keep organized.

January at a glance works for me.
I keep track of birthdays, meetings, church, what days saw rain, design team posts and appointments.

I used a circle punch,  and punched a bunch of colors that match this
month's theme colors, stamped images on them,
and they're ready to put up when I need them.

Mostly just stamped images on the large squares of my calendar.
Little pink clothespins hold a string of sewn snowflakes (one of my favorite images in the set!),
that decorate my calendar.
Those sequins were released this holiday season, another PS favorite!

My calendar hangs in my craft room, with some of my 'handmades'
hanging around it.

Don't you love the camera image?

On the right side, the sweet snowman pins up the banner.

The image on the calendar is from a card I did for PS October Release
featuring these cute little mittens.
I ordered my calendar from Costco, an 11 x 17', attaching 12 photos
of my seasonal cards, matching each month's color inspiration.
Cool, huh?

for me, it's keeping things handy and simple!

Well that's it for January.
Be sure to see what my team mates have for you.
Each month we will be bringing new ideas, with new sets
specifically for planning and organizing.

It's finally here!

Beautiful Day

Playing along with ColourQ, and this challenge,

Love these colors!

Went with those cool spring colors and
Altenew stamp set: Beautiful Day.
PTI Inks: Lovely Lady, Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz, Scarlett Jewel,
Aqua Mist, Fine Linen, Classic Kraft.

The gorgeous rose flower image is a 4 step stamp process.
Did it twice, and fussy cut the middle, lifting it with foam tape.

I don't have the dies to the stamp set, so each image is also fussy cut.

The sentiment is also from the set, as is the image stamped in the 2 corners.
Smooshing with inks, flicking a few drops, and sequins & beads complete the card.

Celebrate

While blog visiting Marybeth Lopez, (marybeth's time for paper),
she posted a gorgeous card as a guest designer for
Fusion Card Challenge, celebrating it's 2nd year.
You are challenged to use the sketch or the photo,
or to 'fuse' the 2.

With that bright and colorful inspiration, I had to play along!

The flowers, clear pink and raspberry colors and bright white
were my starting point.

All PTI: Fresh Floral Wrap-Ups,
Cover Plate: Center Stage,
and sentiment from Birthday Cheer Dies.
After Stamping the flower bouquet with PTI's Lovely Lady, I added watercolor
pencil for hi-light, a tutorial Laurie Willison gave a few weeks ago.
I tried to do the fusion, stretching out my oval,
and adding gold shimmer to the top of my cover plate.
Didn't have a ribbon the color I wanted, so dyed my own (seam binding)
with copics. Just love the ombre that's created when it dries.

'Celebrate' was cut twice with Black Shimmer Paper,
and the flower centers were dotted with BoBunny Gold DoubleDots.

Tag You're It Challenge #38

A new challenge at Tag You're It, features Tracey McNeely,
and her sweet elephant tag.

Isn't he the cutest?
Completely inspired to do an elephant with spring daisies!

I used my elephant from Paper Sweeties, together with the 3pc tag die from PTI.
My button is from October Afternoon

Plenty of inspiration from the DT,  and 2 weeks to play!

True Love is Rare

PapertreyInk's challenge this week, is to review.
Review all the wonderful tutorials of the past year.
Each one by the talented designers, is a jewel.
 I don't think I missed any.
But the fabulous Laura Bassen's, 'Adding Color to Cover Plates',
fit right into using their new Cover Plate: Gem Stone Die,
and You're a Gem Stamp Set.

'
Laura's card was MIM #216

She used Zig Watercolor Pens, I used Twinkling H2O's,
to give my gem die cut a bit of shimmer.

I was going for the gemstone, Amethyst,
and sprayed the gems with Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst.

Can't wait to use this cover plate again with different gems.

Have a wonderful week!
