Welcome to PapertreyInk's August Blog Hop!
Nichole has given us this inspiration,
'... The stunning and vibrant colors of the wool dying process is full of interpretations that can be applied to your next paper crafting project! Experiment with creating backgrounds, perhaps dying or watercoloring die-cuts or your own fibers, dots/circles and stripes, an ombre color palette, layers of twine and more. Be creative and see where your imagination can take you!'
Rich warm colors, and raw rustic textures. LOVE!
So, did 2 cards,
with some of PTI's older stamps, my order's held up by a weekend :(
Love this time of year, bringing out a favorite, Leaf Print Set,
and other Autumn stamps!
and other Autumn stamps!
I started die cutting leaves from an allover inked sheet of card stock.
Tried to match some of those lucious yarn colors
with PTI's reds, pinks, oranges and yellows.
The worn table gave me an idea for the bg.
Made a stencil from Cover Plate Circle, selectively inking with versa mark,
before adding white ep on Soft Stone card stock.
Embossed sentiment from Sunflower Bouquet.
2nd card was inspired from a catalogue,
Started with a piece of muslin stamped with Autumn Adornments.
Aqua Mist cardstock, embossed & lightly distressed inked.
Banner Sentiments embossed in copper.
Made a corsage of sorts, around a burlap flower, inked with Pure Poppy.
Can't wait to see all the takes on this one!
