PapertreyInk September 2015 Blog Hop

September 25th is blog hop time at PTI,
and this month Nichole gave us this inspiration:

Autumn holds promise of holidays, family and
hopefully cool weather!

Because I send out Halloween and Thanksgiving cards,
Nichole's timely inspiration gave me the chance to do 4 cards celebrating fall.
Hope you like them!

All stamps: PTI

Do you recognize the sets I used?
Trying to keep a one layer for easy mailing.

Got a couple of birthdays in October.

The chalkboard technique has endless possibilities & is so much fun to
combine sets, and sentiments.

The only one with enamel dots, might have to deliver this in person.

and the 4th card with the chalkboard technique,

for a dear friend,

All the different technique touches learned by watching Betsy's MIM video, below:

Happy hopping,
can't wait to see all the beautiful card art!

It's Your Day

Love Mondays when Danielle shares...
This week it's Two-Toned Stamped Sentiments.
Just so simply stunning a technique, she uses a cover plate, white embossing,
and stamps beneath with the card stock color.

Our oldest son lives at the beach, and I wanted to keep with a 'watery' theme
for his card.
Cover Plate: Waves
Ahoy Stamp and die sets
Think Big Favorites #2

A 'Pop' of Autumn

Curtain Call Challenge has some fun
inspiration up this week.

Looking through my stamps, I don't think I have
anything 'popcorn', so I went with
a PTI stamp set that reminded me of trees
that change with the season, and kept with
the colors in the photo.
For the kraft bags, I used kraft card stock, and stamped with a tree from Autumn Hills
to make a wallpaper bg.
The Bookmark tag (also PTI) was stamped with
PTI's Plaid Builder, similar to the colors of the plaid bow around the
popcorn bowl.

Hard to see, but the hills picture frame was masked before adding the stripes.
Colored with watercolor pencils, and shaded around the frame with grey.

And for the silver scoop, the vellum embossed leaves (Branching Out).
Just a few little touches of green, the hills and the stitched leaf behind the
fussy cut pumpkins.

Paper Sweeties September Release Party!

Today's the day we've all been waiting for,
Paper Sweeties September Release is now!

Homegrown is one of 2 stamp sets, and 2 sweet cuts available today!
There are 4 fruit images on this adorable set, one is the pear on my card,
I stamped with black Memento Ink, and watercolored with my Zig Clean Pens,
each of the pears to form a card-wallpaper.
The medallion pear is black embossed before watercoloring.
Black Licorice Twine, and PS sequins.

PTI's Create Along With Us

I'm creating along with Nichole, with this Halloween card
patterned after her gorgeous watercolor.

She embossed, in white, the stars from a new set,
watercolored over it, and affixed the new, Let It Snow die over the stars.
I wanted to do a Halloween card, so
I found some stars in a set called Happy Spooky Halloween.
Tricky Trio Die furnished the script.
Love that we get to gleen from the 'Masters'!

Paper Sweeties September Release Countdown!

We're a day away from the PS September Release,
here's the new Mason Jar stamps and die set
on a card. Thought I'd show you what this darling image looks like
with one of the stamps from another new set, Homegrown.

The cherries were paper pieced, embossed and given Glossy Accents, to help them shine!
the little cherry flag at the top is a die included in the Mason Jar Sweetcut set.
It helps you cut the perfect flag for your projects!
2 new sets, so many possibilities!
Tomorrow's release day!

Paper Sweeties September Release Sneak Peek!

Hey there, September's in full swing, and fall's around the corner.
I am so ready for cooler weather!
Paper Sweeties is debuting 2 new stamp sets and 2 new Sweet Cuts for September.
We are giving you a peek at the new sets, that will be
available on the 15th.

My DH and I make Pomegranate Jam every year for the family,
and this year we have a bumper crop!
So I'm beyond thrilled that Debbie has this adorable Mason Jar stamp and matching sweet cut
as one of the sets for the month of September.

I chose to paper piece and emboss vellum, and use it as my tag for
the Pom Jam.
I've also doubled it with another tag, in case I want to write a gift note.
This darling jar stamp is the perfect size, and you're going to
love it's versatility.
Come back tomorrow to see it used on a card!
More on my teammie's blogs!

Are you playing along with this month's PS Challenge?

There's always a prize, and you can be our next guest designer!

A Simple Life

Wanted to play along with the current ColourQ challenge,
where the colors put me in a 'longing for fall' mood.

Rich warm, autumny goodness!
Had the coordinations card stock in my stash,
and ink smooshed it with PTI's Lavender Moon & Autumn Rose, then added water droplets,
for a bit more texture.

Fell in love with the sentiment from the Twig Wreath stamp set, (PTI),
might just give this card to myself.
We empty-nesters have so much to be thankful for,
especially, a simpler, calmer life!!!

leaves: Lil' Inkers, a few of them brushed with bleach.
Twig Wreath & Sentiment from PTI,
Royal Velvet Cardstock: PTI
Sequins: Metallic by My Craft Spot
Copper thread: Coat & Clark

TYI Challenge #30

It's my turn to bring you inspiration for the Tag You're It Challenge.
I created a cupcake tag from PapertreyInk's Enclosed Cupcake die,
and made it a festive birthday tag.

You can choose a shaped tag, colors, celebration, or even confetti on your tag.

Meanwhile, here's another tag from the cupcake tag.

The cupcakes on this tag are stamps and dies from Paper Sweeties' Homemade With Love.
The vellum and bottom tag are PTI's Tag Sale #7,
Pattern created with a stamp from Waltzingmouse's Putting On The Ritz.
All the fun-fetti is die cut from Make It Market's Shakers & Sprinkles (PTI).
Can't wait to see how you're inspired.

MIM #223: Camouflaged Pocket Inserts & NBUS Challenge #5

We were treated to a lesson from Dawn this week at MIM,
and she shows us how to create Camouflaged Pocket Inserts with
PTI dies.
My card uses the Boutique Accesssory Card die set,
for 2 reasons.
I wanted a larger pocket for Enclosed Leaf dies, (never been used)
and because I wanted to play along with Darnell's NBUS challenge

You don't want to miss this one, fabulous prizes are at stake,
not to mention Darnell's posts are a hoot!

So here's my card

All PTI
Pocket created with Text Style Autumn Abundance
and Boutique Accessory Card die
Leaves are smooshed and inked.

When you remove the card, the 2 top leaves go with it,
and the sentiment from Flower Favorites is revealed.
Smaller leaves from Leaf Prints.
(Love that set, wait all year to use it!)
The card is going to one of our youth leaders at church.
She is an awesome teacher, and my
grandchildren learn so much from her!

Dawn's video is here on Nichole's blog:
