Paper Sweeties February 2016 Release Countdown!

Tomorrow's Release Day at Paper Sweeties for the month of February!
And the stamp and die set we are featuring is one
everyone of us stampers and cardmakers need.

If you know someone going through a rough time, a caring card says so much!
And this set, 'Thinking of You', can say it all!
So many thoughtful words to put just the right saying together.

I diecut the frame into my card front, and made a shaker with Distress Glitter.
Inked the front in soft colors, and added
some die cut posies with leaves to dress the corners.
The frame, posies and leaves are in the Sweet Cuts set.
Paper Sweeties sequins, a soft pink ribbon, and the card is finished.

Hope you take a look at the rest of the team's inspiration,
and be sure to play along with this month's PS Challenge!

Color Pop Fortune Teller

It's Day 8 of Papertrey's 9th Year Celebration, and today's challenge
has us using a paper fortune teller game we used to play as children.
My grandchildren still play this game, and love it!

Number 5 was my chosen number, and the color Simply Chartruese.
4th month for birthday, and got Spring Rain & Royal Velvet.
Nichole said we could pick an addition color, and next to Royal Velvet was Berry Sorbet.
Used my Zig Watercolors, and the colors closest to my 4 on
a Bold Blossoms Watercolor Sheet.
Embroidered Frames Hexagon stamped with Spring Rain,
Sentiment: Thank You Kindly.

Hi Paper Sweeties fans!
Are you loving the Planner Series so far?
February's stamp set is called Celebrate.
And you're love all the images that tell you in a glance that it's

My calendar helps me plan ahead, and I love decorating it with PS die cuts and
sequins!

Here's the Month of February, with a heart and posie banner, in the colors of
the month's picture.
You're going to have so much fun with this set!

Celebrate!

PapertreyInk's 9th Anniversary Celebration continues
with the challenge to create a Sampler Square of
9 different panels altered 9 different ways.

Before cutting my 1 1/2" squares, I stamped my images from Bold Blossoms, and colored them in different ways.

Here's how the squares differ:
Starting from the top left,
square 1: Masked the blossom
square 2: Used raindrops
square 3: Smooshed on the sky color
square 4: Used sequins
square 5: Stamping
square 6: Layers of die cuts
square 7: pencil watercolors
square 8: Embossed sentiment
square 9: Copic colored

Day 3 PTI' 9th Year Celebration

5 Minutes?!?!?
Grab and Go and create it in 5 min.

My  friends, I'm overthink kinda gal, so there is nothing
(aside from dealing with the calamities of 5 children)
I do well in 5 minutes!
I had the box of Shakers and Sprinkles out from the last challenge, so
I grabbed one of the all-ready done papers, and followed the lead of it's sentiment,
and 'sprinkled'.
Confession: 6 minutes start to finish. Needed to 'remove' some of the sprinkles that attached
to some areas I didn't want! Swear they have a mind of their own!

Sprinkled with Love

Day 2 of PTI's celebration Dress Up Inspiration.

A gypsy skirt I keep for costume parties!

Celebrate With Us: Color Challenge

PTI is celebrating their 9th Anniversary, and we're all invited!
A 10 day party filled with inspiration and prizes.
Loving their products the way I do, I plan to stamp and play and
enjoy every challenge!
1st up is color.
I selected Betsy's colors, but stretched them a bit.

OK, I really stretched them!

A few months ago, when Charmed was released, I crushed on a card
by Kay Miller, featuring the emerald.
Similar to hers, I used the Charm stamps and dies,
and a Boutique Borders: Congrats die
(she used Love),
and instead of Snowflake Flurries, I used Bold Blossoms
a set I can't seem to put away!
All in PTI purple inks to go with the amethyst birthday card, I painted the petals with ink on a block, the way Ashley did in her video here:

The Branching Out die is cut with
a gold paper, slightly on the chartreuse side.
The berries are from Twig Wreath, stamped with Raspberry Fizz and Canyon Clay.
the Gold sequins are close to Summer Sunrise.
Wonderful prizes and endless inspiration all on Nichole's blog,

For my Valentine

Hi and welcome to a new inspiration for Tag You're It!
This week's muse is Jen Mitchel, with this valentine tag

Completely inspired by the red textured heart,
so I went with Paper Sweeties With Love SC die.

'Love' also from Paper Sweeties (Wish SC) cut from red glitter paper.

Tag is Bookmark 2 Die tag from PTI.
There a bg stamp, so pale and hard to see, it's from an old wood block Inkadinkadoo stamp,
and I don't think it's available any more.

Can't wait to see what inspires you!

Valentine

Melissa Phillips shows us some creativity with gelatos for this weeks MIM,
Valentine Ombre Stamping.
Her card blends die cuts with ombre, and, as only she can,
whips up a pink parfait perfection!

I had some gelatos called 'Macaroons', I hadn't tried yet, and
way behind on my Valentines, thought I'd give Enclosed: Heart the
gelato treatment.
Aside from being way to pale to photograph well, I sort of like
the card.

And 'like' is as far as I'll go.
I filled My Favorite Things Umbrella die with the sweet blooms from Enclosed: Heart,
and added tiny pearls and pink sequins.
Embroidered Borders stamped with Spring Rain.
I loved Melissa's slim card, so went with a 3 1/2 x 5 1/2" card size.
Think the pink sequins helped brighten things up a bit, but I definitely
like her rich pinks better!
