SAF '17 9th Anniversary, Pottery with Nichole Heady

Hi! And welcome back to PTI's SAF '17, and this post with Nichole Heady's tradition:
Pottery
Nichole shares a dough recipe, and ways to use our stamps to create darling
'pottery' tags!

I found a scallop star cookie cutter among my cookie cutter bin, and
love the look with this technique.
The circle is the top of a cardboard tube. The holes are cut with the end of a straw.
Here's a few of my favorites.

I found a pumpkin cookie cutter and did a few for pumpkin loaf cakes
later on in the season.

LOVED this technique, did a dozen, and plan to do several more.
Thank you Nichole!

SAF '17 7th Anniversary Tradition: Wool with Debbie Olson

Wool was represented by PTI's wool felt, and Debbie Olson crafting the
cutest felt cookies I've EVER seen!
I went with the cookie look for my 'wool' card.

SAF '17 4th Anniversary Tradition Amy Sheffer

Amy Sheffer and the 4th Tradition: Linen, has us using our stamps on the real thing.
And then using it as gift wrap. Gorgeous!

How impressive to present a gift with such a sweet wrap!

SAF '17 6th Anniversary - Iron with Betsy Veldman

The 6th Anniversary Tradition is Iron. Betsy Veldman's video shows how to turn
paper into iron. She's amazing. And so is the look she achieved.
My husband does wrought iron and when saw I this Mix & Mat, it reminded me
of the fence he built in front of our house.

With a few die cuts from Humming Along my card is done.

SAF '17 Natasha Trupp and 5th Anniversary: Wood

5th Anniversary Tradition is wood, and Natasha encourages us to use the texture
wood offers. I used PTI's Wood stencil, and some silver embossing paste mixed with
a deep brown black walnut ink. It basically turned the ep pewter. Not too happy with
the results, but I used it anyway.

SAF '17 5th Anniversary Tradition: Wood with Lizzie Jones

Lizzie brings us the tradition of wood. And she has some fabulous
examples of how to use wood paper (yes there is!) in your project.

Lots of E Coppics

SAF '17 4th Anniversary Tradition: Linen

Anna Kossakovskaya brought her charming style to us for the 4th Anniversary
tradition: Linen

I used a line scrap with an obvious pattern on the reverse side, and stamped on the 'clean' side.

SAF '17 3rd Anniversary Leather - with Nichole Heady

More fun in the celebration at PTI's Stamp-A-Faire '17 with
Nichole Heady showing us a neat technique to turn our paper into faux leather.

It really does look like the cover of some old journal. Lots of layering, there's 2 layers of
the Ivy & Bloom frame, 4 layers of tissue paper, and all the steps are on
Nichole's video here:

SAF '17 with Stephanie Gold: Cotton

Stephanie Gold in her very 1st SAF, made a glittery card full of cotton candy!
Well, it certainly looked every bit like the real thing.
One of the things she showed us on her video, was applying glitter.
And that's one of the things I used on this card.

Using double sided tape in 1/4 & 1/2", I sprinkled on black German Glass Glitter, pressing it
down for even cover. Stephanie suggests topping off with GA to seal it. I didn't.
My cotton is cotton string, dyed with Terracotta Tile reinker. Rather turned out pink, but like
the ombre effect on the string.

Projects coming soon! Isn't this fun?
Back in a flash.

SAF '17, 3rd Anniversary Leather with Ashley

A wonderful video by Ashley Cannon Newall on 'leather', next on the PTI blog.
All my other projects are currently in the sun drying. And today we are expecting
a blistering 105. Should be ready in no time!

I'm not sure the piece looks like leather, but I love the distress of the folds. Think I should
have played a bit less with it.

SAF '17 1st Anniversary Tradition: Paper with Laura Bassen

Hello again! Back with some more Stamp-A-Faire with PTI and
this time with Laura Bassen. She's back with a celebration of paper.

Laura shares her rainbows and color gradients with every piece of gorgeous art,
and it was so nice to watch her work her magic on the card she made in the video.

My card used her tricks to lineup each piece of the Coverplate: Awning.

Oh yes, it took a while, but I LOVE the results!
Big Basics: Just for You, cut 5 times, 4 in Pure Poppy, once in white.

You can sort of see the red underneath in this  photo.

Thank you Laura, and thank you for visiting!

Stamp-A-Faire '17 No. 1: Paper with Rebecca

No. 1 is a paper challenge featuring the talented Rebecca Luminarias.
Her video details ways to decorate with paper. Bows, tassels, confetti, and die cuts, all
take center stage on our projects.

Dies: Ivy & Bloom, Stitched Primitive Hearts

I made my 2 tassels a bit differently than Rebecca. She capped her tassels, I used
a quick method of cutting strips with my grass cutting scissors, and folding the paper over.
It does several with the strip I cut.

My strip is 3 1/2" wide, as long as you wish it to be, and cut to l line down the middle.
A piece of twine is laid down the center, before rolling, and a thin piece is wrapped around
the top. I prefer the lovely gold topper Rebecca uses, but didn't have it, so improvised.

Thanks for visiting! On to the next challenge!
