The Card Concept Challenge #22 - Thank "fall"

A wonderful Autumn picture inspires at the Card Concept.

Love playing in this challenge, where we must pick a style
from one of the designers and create our card.

I have to say, created the card first, then chose the style, Classy & Elegant, based on
Colleen's gorgeous inspiration.

Background wallpaper created with PTI's Friendship Jar Fall Fillers
PTI: Songbirds stamps and dies
PTI Cover Plate: Deco
Banner created with PTI's: Just a Little Something, and sentiment from First Fruits
Sequins from Make It Market Shakers & Sprinkles

Tag You're It! Challenge #9

Tag You're It! Challenge this week features a couple of
lovely tags from Leigh Penner

Since she did 2, so did I, a couple of Christmas tags.

'Merry' and 'Christmas' are die cuts from PTI's Wet Paint Holiday collection.
Basic Bookmark 2 (PTI)
I angled  the designer paper, as Leigh did, stamped a watery mistletoe from PTI's Merry Kiss-Mas.
Christmas dp & brads from My Mind's Eye, Joyous Collection.

Ribbon from Make It Market: Tinsel & Tags. (PTI)

This very pretty paper (double sided) made the tags easy.
Love having oodles of tags ready for the holidays.
There's always some gift you need to plop a festive tag onto,
and run out the door!
(At least I seem to need to!)

Merry Monday #132 Snowflakes

I wasn't going to let Merry Monday's challenge slip away from me this week,
especially since time is short until Christmas cards go out.

Snowflakes, dry embossing and neutral colors, are the challenge for us.
Love these new snowflakes from Waltzingmouse!
The largest, Folk Art Snowflake was dry embossed and 'snow' inked.

Tried to mimic the icing on these snowflakes, kind of coppery.

WM: Snowflakes #1 & 2 embossed with ivory and then embossed again with gold and copper.
Yes, a lot of steps, but needed to get what I wanted.
Tiny snowflakes inked with PTI's Vintage Cream, stamp from WM: Warm Fuzzies.
'Let it Snow' from Compliments of the Season (Waltzingmouse)
All cardstock PTI

MIM #186: Partial Die Stamping

The hardest thing about this week's MIM with Laurie
is deciding which die to use.
I started with a word die and wasn't happy with results,
so started over with Shaker Shape: Ornament.

Well, back up, started with the holiday bg paper I had from last year.
It helped with colors and simple flowers from Songbirds.
Basic Bookmark 2, Sparkle & Shine: Sequins.
Inks: Pure Poppy, Classic Kraft, Limeaid Ice, New Leaf and Ultimate Metallic Gold
Last is the Joy from Wet Paint Holiday.
The tag and sentiment are cut from Shimmer card stock.
How fun are these new shaker dies!!!

PTI October Blog Hop

It's Blog Hop time at PapertreyInk!
And this time its a color challenge!
Non-traditional holiday colors
Scroll down for 4 projects, not a card in the bunch!

Using this color challenge,

and Make It Market Tinsel & Tags

If you do one of these, watch Betsy's video, she shows you each step
and makes it easy!
(Sorry about the glare!)

Vintage Ornaments & Vintage Ornament Additions stamps
with the Wet Paint Holiday die are versamarked and double embossed.
Wine bottle tag

The bow's from Tinsel & Tags.

Betsy Veldman did these tags using the 2012 Holiday Tag set, which I did (CASED) in these challenge colors:

You can't have enough tags during the holidays!
I made 20 tags, one of each stamp, in each of the challenge colors.

And 4th project is a paper ornament for my ballerina granddaughter.
A shaker snowglobe.

Analise (the budding ballerina) collects snow globes.
Ballerina Beauty, paper pieced,
Freshly Fallen, & Snow Globe Sentiments

Ana is 9, and could do the splits at 3!

Well that's it for now, might just have to try the other 2 color combos.
Can't wait to see all the inspiration today!

Happy Hopping!

Santa's Sleigh, and the adorable reindeer image.

Mat Stack 7 frames the reindeer,

Bookmark 2
sentiment from Santa's Sleigh, tweaked to fit the banner.

This time I added more snow, like it better!

MIM #185: Faux Stained Glass

Make It Mondays are my favorite time of the week!
Especially when you wake up to find you won
the random pick from the previous week!
Yaaaaay!
This week features a stained glass look with Betsy Veldman and
her super talented fingers. (That's all of her we get to see,
but it's enough cuz all her creative sparks shine through!)

Santa's Sleigh was begging to be inked. Loved the sweet images the moment
I saw them!
The copics really do streak to look like stained glass!
And as Betsy advises, go for the dark shades, so they show.
Snowflake Medley stamps and dies, 1st stamped and then clear embossed.
Pattern paper from Betsy's Make It Market Tinsel & Tags.

Popped up with foam so that the glitter shakes (wish I added more snow!).

I tell ya, Mondays are the best!

Paper Sweeties October Release Rewind!

Welcome back!

We're rewinding the showcased new stamps and dies
at Paper Sweeties!
And we are combining the new with the previously released sets.

I have a lot of pictures to show you of a card set
done with Trim the Tree.

I used one of the 4 trees in the set, over a watercolored bg, and washi border.
Sentiment from Seasons of Love.
Who doesn't need thank you cards after Christmas?!
So easy to do these, 6 total, with stamped and decorated matching envelopes.

Also made a band for the 3 1/2 x 5" cards & envelopes

Here's what the set looks like all put together.
Makes a great stocking stuffer!

The envelopes stamped and watercolored.
Super simple, super fast.

Isn't this a great release?
Have you seen all the DT's projects?

Waltzingmouse October PJ Party: Bed Time Story, Sketch Challege

Last Challenge for WM's PJ Party!

This sketch

Followed it rather loosely with this card

Just don't know how you could use the Big Owl set and NOT get compliments!
He's fabulous! Perfect fall addition.
Anyway, with 11 grandkids,  this goes to one of them, probably a boy.
Happy Halloween all!

Paper Sweeties October Release Party!

Hi there, and welcome. Know what day it is?

It's Release Day at Paper Sweeties!
All the great stamps and dies are finally available to purchase!

Snow Friends is stamp set from a previous release.
Now you can buy the dies to match the set.
I die cut the snow people to use as a stencil before applying embossing paste.
Then I added the die cut elements to embellish Mr. and Mrs. Snow.
Joy is a die cut from the new Sweetcuts-Joy.
All the designers have more inspiration for you.
Here's the list in case you missed anyone.
