Muses Challenge #126

Playing along with the Muse Challenge,
where our muse comes from Tracey McNeeley's 1st post on their
design team.

Check out her inspiration card.

Tracey nails it every time!
Cool, CAS, and perfectly constructed, right?
I was totally besotted with those ombred water drops,
the clean white space and flowered drink that's part of 'summer'.

Great excuse to use some NBUS stamps and dies from Papertrey too!

MIM #219: Texture Kissing

Just love Mondays, especially with PTI and Make It Monday!
This week's video with Lizzie shows us how to 'texture kiss' our stamps.

I texture kissed several leaves and the bud from Rosie Posie, not really
having a plan.
Ended up forming a summer wreath. Loved the colors together!
(Am I the only one that hangs a wreath up for every season?)
Hawaiian Shores, Classic Kraft, Limeaid Ice & Berry Sorbet.
Hello: Noted Die
Texture from Background Basics: Gingham
The smaller gingham gives an impression that resembled tiny flowers.
Happy accident?
PTI cardstocks: Stamper's Select & Classic Kraft.

PTI July Blog hop

Blog Hop time at Papertrey, and Nichole has
challenged us with this photo:

"Colors, layout, touches of gilded gold, as well as the distressed wall..."
All my PTI butterfly sets covered my worktable,
but had to go with a favorite, Life Is Beautiful.

I loved the British Campaign feel, and tried for that look.
With help from the fab designers at PTI, and lessons from MIM, came my card.
(Can you pick out who taught us what?)
Hands of Time stamped in gold on an ombre of Sweet Blush and Autumn Rose.
Background Basics: Farm & Barn, stamped with Classic Kraft, spritzed with water,
and then stamped off. Die cut hole with Spellbinders circle die.
PTI Autumn Rose & Simply Jane pattern papers, (gold embossed dipped)
Songbirds leaves in Ocean Tides & Vellum card stocks.
Gold 'string bling' and Lawn Fawn metallic sequins.

What to do with all the leftover butterflies?
Make butterfly winged tags! (Thank you Melissa Phillips!)

Did a wallpaper from the blooms of Betsy's Nostalgic Notions

Flowers were stamped in Soft Stone, watercolored, then the edges were sponge inked.

Love having tags on hand for all ocassions!

And Love seeing all my blog friends' creations!
You always find endless inspiration!

...and then my PTI order came!

With inspiration from Dawn's gorgeous blooms on PTI's Facebook,
and Melissa's teacup of flowers,
I made a birthday card.

Besides, had to do a special birthday card for one of our own celebrating her's
in August. Her Initials are MBL! Know who I mean?

Happy Hopping!

Stamps: Vintage Linens
Cardstock: PTI Vintage Linens Patterned Paper Collection
White, Aqua Mist
Dies: Triangle Trio, Fancy Teacup
Other: Rainstones, White Embossing Powder,
Windsor Newton Watercolor pens.

MIM #218: Watercolors With Die Cut Stencils

and then watercolor them.

Tag You're It Challenge #26

Hi everyone! TGIF!
And especially since there's a new challenge at TYI!
The talented Marybeth's on board with our inspiration tag,
and it's a beaut!

She gives us beauty and graceful elegance
with this tag.
I loved the impressed pattern around and below her butterfly!

I doubled my tag like Marybeth,
and embossed a leafy design on the bottom.
Instead of a butterfly, I chose a cuckoo clock and added 2 birds.

Hope you are inspired to play along.
Are you our next Guest Designer?

Tag: Waltzingmouse
Clock: PTI Tick Tock
Inks: PTI Tropical Teal, Hawaiian Shores, Dark Chocolate
Encore! Ultimate Metallic Gold
PTI: Embellished Ellegance die (leaf)

Paper Sweeties July Release Rewind!

How have you liked the new stamps and dies this month?
Cutest bugs ever!
And the wonderful new script!
And they go with just about every other Paper Sweeties set!

I gave my ladybug some sheen with Glossy Accents,
and she's shaded by a posie from  Pretty Posies.
GA also on the sign from Garden Time.

Many Blessings

For those of us tortured by no Make It Monday this week,
the brilliant minds of PTI have come up with,
'Create Along With Us'.
We are to choose inspiration from among the designers at Papertrey,
and do a card, using something that caught our eye,
but is our interpretation.
Rather impossible, but
similar to what my grandmother used to tell me when I would ask, 'who's your favorite?'
Answer? 'Can I choose between these 5 fingers?'

I finally settled on Melissa Phillip's 'Hello' card,
not that I could come close to what she's done,
but because I loved that little extra layer of banner stuck into the sassy slanted 'Hello'.
So here's my similar take:

Using the same quatrefoil die, and a country theme and colors,
I stamped my cherry bowl in New Leaf and Pure Poppy.
It was so much fun looking for stamps and dies in my stash that would
match Melissa's creative release card, no need to wander far from it's sweetness!

Scripted sentiment with the 'sending' banner from Big Hugs.
Posies from Mini Blooms and Embellished Elegance.
