Christmas Greenhouse

One of my Christmas cards this year was this festive greenhouse, made with several
older Greetery sets.

Fortunate to have been on the start of The Greetery's releases, these early sets,
especially holiday themed, are still some of my favorites.

Built on a striped paper my little greenhouse is first stamped before adding
the die cuts. The actual greenhouse frame is 3 die cuts thick, and the Christmas
trees are popped up with foam.

Do you have plant lovers on your Christmas list? This one goes to one of dear
friends who rescues dying plants from nurseries and gives  them a second life...
true story!

Merry Christmas!

Hatchback Treat holders

Merry Christmas Crafty Friends!
It's time for our annual Favorite Things Christmas Party with my gal pals, and
this year I'm featuring The Greetery's Holiday Hatchback. It's a 3-D hatchback
treat holder, complete with add ons to decorate the car.

Anything but subtle for my favorites, I chose red mirror cardstock for the car base.
The sides are a green stripe glitter paper. The wheels are black glitter paper, and the
tree is green with 3 different mica sprays.

I chose to leave the hatch open so I could add a treat, and a tiny bag filled with
'ornaments' so the recipient could decorate her tree if she chooses.

I found these sweet tiny balls at Hobby Lobby, in silver and red, and added a star from
The Greeterys Twinkle Background. They're what are the 'outs' when you die cut the
Background die, but so cute, I save them.

One of my favorite things I chose to share this year is Hammonds Christmas Candy.
I celophaned the car and candy tin, and added a bow and paper Magnolia, also
from the Greetery.

A fabulous bow needs a blinged out centerpiece, and my magnolia is just about as
blinged as I could get! Silver mirror cardstock, white glitter paper and dotty vellum,
with a mica sprayed magnolia leaf.

Tag making was easy with the Greetery's 4 at a time tag die.

Another look at the 7 tree totin' hatchbacks tied with gold cord for hanging.

Had to try assembling the tiny cases. They're not added to the gift, but oh so cute!

I love sharing my paper crafting skills with my favorite gal pals. So much joy in
making them, I hope you enjoyed seeing them too.

May this blessed season bring hope and joy to you and yours!

The Flower Challenge #87 Use Gold

Perfect timing to Use Gold at the Flower Challenge!
Happy Holidays crafters, and welcome to a new card challenge at TFC,
featuring a favorite flower on a card.

My card to inspire you features the magnolia wreath from The Greetery,
die cut twice: once from green, and once again from a striped paper.
The green started it's life plain and dull. I used Tim Holtz mica sprays to
bring out the shine!

The magnolia is also a new die from The Greetery, but I only used the smallest petal die
for my flower.

Let's see what you do with the challenge to 'Use Gold'. Our challenges are all month,
and end on the 25th. Enjoy, sweet friends!

Merry Christmas!

The Flower Challenge 2 #86 Black, White and Yellow

Hi Flower fans! If you love to use your flower stamps and dies, the Flower
Challenge is for you!

I used flowers from The Greetery's Wildwood Collection, stamped in yellows.  Opposites
Attract provided my birthday sentiment, and all mounted on a twice cut Cathedral Die.

Hope to see what you do with these colors for the month of November.
Remember, challenge   ends Nov. 25th.

Christmas Sampler

I've been enjoying the stencil sets that came with my Greetery order, and played
with Christmas Sampler done with several color ways.

Redwork is a favorite. I have done quilts in red  and white, and even collected red and
white transferware. Decided to put it on a card, and the sampler was a perfect way to see
if I could keep to all reds. With the exception of the cabin, I came pretty close!

I put the sweet little fir die cuts in the top corners, just to dress the card up a bit. The
frame is from an old PTI die that cut a much more detailed edge. I only used the
very outside edge, not wanting to hide any of the sweet detail.

Once I got started with this stencil set, I couldn't stop!

There's a blue one...

One done on some textured Kraft, with white ink for stencil one...

...and one die cut  withAida cloth die, which simulates embroidery cloth.

Betsy included some shaker elements in her release, and they fit perfectly on the
sweet little cabin.

4 Christmas cards to add to my stash, but honestly, still way behind!

Happy Holidays my friends!

The Flower Challenge #86 Color Black White & Yellow

Welcome to the Flower Challenge. For the month of November, we're challenging
you to use the colors: Black, White and Yellow.

Not the most traditional Christmas colors, but decided to use Tim Holtz's
Poinsettia die set and create a Christmas card.

I set  my poinsettia on The Greetery's Herringbone Parque Die, and spritzed with
sparkle.
Merry Christmas is cut from  glitter paper, and backed with black
cardstock.

Can't wait to see what you do with this challenge. Definitely a 'challenging' challenge!

Play all month. Challenge closes on the 25th.

Happy Holidays!

A Set of Bright and Merry Christmas Cards

Happy November! It's officially the start of the Holiday season, and I have some
Bright and Merry Christmas cards to share.

This first one includes the popcorn string and stenciled So Very Merry
sentiment.

The Bubble Lights Die set had me at the pre-release! And Betsy's fabulous green card
with the mercury glass lights and perfect layout, inspired my case.
First in hunter green...

Then in scarlet. Such fun  to make, had to do more....

I die cut the background from several glitter and shimmer papers, and went to work
putting my bubble lights above the new Christmas sentiments.

I love the possibilities of color for the bulb! IRL, mine are all clear.

The bubbling occurs when the light heats the water in the candle. My 'bubbles'
are tiny Nuvo droplets

5 more cards for the holiday stash!

How's your holiday stash coming along?
See all the new on The Greetery blog. Their Lookbook is the best!

Recollections of Christmas

Finally had time  to dive into the Greetery's newest release, 'Recollective Holiday'.
Betsy has outdone herself, again, with this holiday collection of vintage vibes.

I went with a redwork theme for this card, featuring the fabulous bow set against
the stenciled Fair Isle background.

Closeup of the bow die  cut with  shimmer paper.

Went overboard with my Greetery order,  and just catching up to
creating with all the goodies!
Happy holidays, friends!

It's a beautiful October morning in my valley.  Perfect for beginning Christmas cards!
I recently  ordered  some of Tim Holtz' Christmas '23, and  created a card
patterned after Barbara Schiassi's beautiful card during the release. Barbara  used
the Halloween moon and Forest  Shadows trees, and I was smitten!

The bright moon's glow on Santa's sleigh and reindeer is my favorite.
Looks like he's just taking off on his yearly run...

Another of the Tim Holtz' new release is this Christmas tree, all decked out
with ornaments.
It's so hard capturing all the glittery goodness on the embossed background  and tree.
Fun to use my Stickles and glitter paper!

It's hard to see, but I first embossed my sentiment (The Greetery) onto heat resistant
acetate, cut around the image before adding it to my card.
Both cards are 5"x 7"'s to  fit the larger die cuts.

I'm really loving the Sizzix cardstock with the retro images... lots of vintage
colors too!
