MIM #147

Make it Monday this week features Betsy Veldman
showing us how to created multi-layered images from a single stamp set.
Great excuse to use one of the sets I am most excited about, Stitched with Love.
Any set with a sewing theme has my name on it, and this one is no exception!
Filled with sewing images, buttons, and even a spool, it also has sentiments for
many occasions, including 'Thanks Sew Much', just what I needed for after Christmas thank you notes.
I did a set of 4 mini-notes to simulate redwork embroidery.

All stamps and dies are from Stitched with Love. Only the needle is fussy cut.
I borrowed an idea from Dawn's samples of this stamp set and added another layer
from the Limitless layers die collection.
The 2 stamped images on the left are thread stamped horizontally and then vertically to created a
gingham look.

There are 2 of each style for a total of 4 in the set, but I know I'll be doing
4 more.

The spools of thread are labels for the envelopes, which have stitched lines for addressing
from Sew Simply Borders.
Rustic White Cardstock, and envelopes
Red Poppy and Dark Chocolate Inks
Red Poppy felt

One of the things I love about PTI stamp sets is the
included 'made for you…' phrase.

I always initial the back of handmade cards and this sweet phrase lets the recipient
know they are special.

Does this project look like fun?
Come watch Betsy's video here, on Nichole's blog:

  14. I want it! Who wouldn't? Flipping adorable for Valentine's Day especially, and the sewing theme? PRECIOUS. Send one to me! Wait, did I give you anything? Most likely nothing worth one of these in return.

  16. Love the image - subtle take-off of a hand-held watch - perhaps implying the precious time that it takes to sew a heart-felt creation or the amount of appreciation for your gifts from friends.
