PTI May Blog Hop & MIM

No wait! You're in the right place, this is PapertreInk's May Blog Hop
Just had to make a happy announcement, 11th grandchild just arrived! Baby Eli, 8 lbs. 12oz. all boy, and simply wonderful!

More photos to follow, but now to the hop!

Nichole has given us a color challenge: Aqua and Melon

4 cards for you

1st up, a birthday card using this week's MIM watercolor technique.
BB: Art Deco,
Gatsby Glamour stamp and die
copper & teal ep,
Aqua Mist and Melon Berry inks,
PTI cardstock

I used 5 layers of card stock for the die cut,
more sturdy than foam dots

Card #2

In love with Botanical Blocks! So many possibilities.
Simple ink watercoloring and fussy cut over original stamp.

PTI card stocks and inks

3rd card

Botanical Blocks, this time the sunflower, again ink watercolored.
Copper eb, copper Shimmer PTI cardstock, embossed with herringbone folder,
PTI cardstocks, aqua mist dot paper.

3rd card

Ivory embossed mums on Melon Berry cardstock, inked with Melon Berry,
Aqua embossed sentiment

Mum's the Word stamp set

Card 4

I never have a favorite of my my own work, but if I had to, this ranks as a favorite.
Friendship Jar, and Friendship Jar Spring Filler, simply love tulips!
These are copic colored with the 3 shades PTI offers to coordinate with Melon Berry...
Vellum colored with copic, leaves too.
Background Basics: Chevron Stripes in Fine Linen.
A bit of lace and Tiny Tag die

Stamped it first, then added the fussy cuts.

Just a bit of glitter

Well that's all for now, need to see more of Baby Eli?

The family Penir, that's my baby boy on the right,
his sweet wife and Eli's mamma, and big bro Shephard.
You know there'll be more pix later!

For now, enjoy hopping, there's always so much inspiration to see!

But, truthfully, everything pales to the beauty of your NEW GRANDSON!!! Mazel Tov. What a sweetheart, and such a beautiful family. I am so happy for all of you.

  26. OK Nancy. I see the aqua on you r new Eli creation, but where is the melon berry......the cheeks. How did you make all those cards with this kind of excitement going on?!

You've shown me a new way to work my melon berry ink so that it reminds me a little less of pig pink. (Mine ink is just so brown with a full load on the stamp, that I really don't appreciate it. The second stamp off, is the color I love.) Your applying some water with a brush really brings out the lovely pink undertones I so favor. I'm blown away by all your fabulous cards. I'd be happy to create one that beautiful. and yes those tulips in that jar are stand out!
