Birthday Peonies


PTI's June Blog Hop features this inspiration:

Ombre delight, right?

So many directions to go in, I went the ombre of course,
the transparency, (watercolors), and the sweet blooms with their 
 pink/coral hue.


Sponge inked and splattered background, (Aqua Mist & Spring Rain)
Peonies On Parade, 1st white embossed, then watercolored 
with Kuretake pan colors.
Love to 'ombre' each petal on the flowers!
Ways to Say Birthday die cut from glitter card stock.
Panel backed with foam dots and adhered to Ombre Stripes Pattern Paper.
So much inspiration on these hops, can't wait to see everyone's take today!

    Oh my....absolutely GORGEOUS Nancy!! Those Peonies are SO pretty...love all the color you achieved with the water coloring!! Love all the ombre elements in this card too! You really outdid yourself on this lovely, lovely card Nancy!! I'm guessing the heat hasn't gotten to you yet if you can still create like this! And congrats again on PTI's shoutout...this is one deserving card!! :0)

    Your flowers are gorgeous! Painting is my favourite way to showcase flower stamps, and you have done it extremely well! Love the contrast of the complementary colours in your background, too! It all makes me want to dig out this stamp set...

    So beautiful! The colors are so amazing! You did a fantastic card! I love the way you did the rain, when I looked back at the card after reading the "rain"part, I truly felt that I was standing there looking at these glorious peonies either while it is raining or right after! Blessings! Lisa
