12 Kits of Occasions: May '20 - April Showers Bring May Flowers

Hi and welcome to 12 Kits of Occasions, May post!
How could it possibly be June 1st tomorrow???
This year is flying by... maybe that's good, as far as what's going on?

Clovis, CA is officially open, and things are almost normal.
Meanwhile, card making never slows down!
May's 12 Kits is being brought to us by my dear friend, Marcia Hill,
marciasstampingpad
and is called April Showers Bring May Flowers.
Marcia sent us floral images, sweet little ladies, and lovely designer papers.
I had a ball putting all my 7 cards together!  Take a look...

Leading off with Stampingbella, and a Thinking of You card. This sweet Townie Tiny
Garden Girl is colored with Copics. The Greetery: Thinking of You.

Mandy's Flowers (Simon Says Stamps) colored with watercolor pencils,
and Pierced Oval Frame from PTI.

Marcia made this card come together in a snap. The PTI tulips came already
stamped in red, and the dp included in kit. I triple embossed the frame with
silver powder, and added a few drops.

Oh how I love this sweet Snowdrop girl! I double girlie framed her, and added
it to a stamped card I had in my stash (the Greetery).

Marcia included the bokeh dp, and I stamped on the sentiment and dandelions, adding
one fussy cut bloom that was white embossed onto vellum.
You just simply cannot have enough birthday cards handy, especially ones that can
double as masculine. Don't you agree?

OK, I just love how this card turned out. The die cut (Pinkfresh Studios) was copic
colored before adding to a strip of dp. A bit of blacksplattering and novo drops and
done!

Last  card  was a silver embossed image from Penny Black, I watercolored with
Azteca pens. Double frame from Penny Black.

Thanks for coming by and hopefully adding a comment.
And thanks to Marcia, for simply sunny florals to brighten my
sheltered spring!

Love to all of you trying to stay safe and  well!

  1. Oh my dear Nancy, your cards blow me away with every post. You created some stunning cards using Marcia's kit. The red framed tulips over the b & w paper is beautiful and elegant. I love how you layered the square die cut frames too. Everything is swoon-worthy. Glad to hear that things are getting back to normal for you.

  2. Ohhhhh Nancy...how you have made my simple little kit SHINE!! As usual, my jaw has been drooping on the floor the entire time I read through your post as each and every card is just perfection! Absolutely love what you did with the Stampingbella images...I think you made them cuter than they already are!! And the Pinkfresh Studio die cut is probably my favorite too...never would have thought to do it in reds but I absolutely LOVE it!! And the Bokeh card is amazing! I included that piece of dsp for the other side, and so many of you used the Bokeh side that I never really even gave a 2nd glance to...guess I better get my piece out and do something with it!! Your Cherry Blossom card is FABULOUS too! I love them all my friend! Glad to hear things are getting back to some semblance of "normal" for you...stay safe and be well! Hugs. :0)
