The Card Concept Challenge: Butterfly Brilliance

We have a new challenge for you at The Card Concept, and our inspiration photo is
sure to stir your creative juices!

That butterfly! All I could do was stare at it's beauty! My card didn't stray far from
the photo's colors and layout.

The background is Stamp Market's and then sponge inked with Distress Oxide Inks.

And oh, that butterfly... the closest I could come to that amazing detail was an oldie
rubber stamp from Penny Black, which came alive with bright copics.

The blooms and fine stitched frame are Poppystamps.  And the script stamp: the Greetery.

The Card Concept challenges run for 2 weeks, lots of time to create a card,
or 2, and we love your sweet comments and creations! Be sure and read our
challenge rules, just a few, and to add our challenge photo to your post.

Looking forward to seeing your beautiful cards! Have a wonderful week!

  3. Marisela Delgado said: WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW, Nancy! I am a MAJOR sucker for butterflies. They are a sign of resurrection. I was seriously injured for over 7 years. I cut a varicose vein while shaving my legs. I was 43 and a runner. For over 7 years, I watched my life come crashing down around my feet. I suffered injury after injury after injury. I suffered and endured BRUTAL pain that caused me to consider ending my own life just to make the pain stop. Pain meds do NOT work on me. I faced scary complications and faced surgery twice. BUT the Lord saved me from them all. It'll be 8 years in June, I still can't run again, and I am still not fully restored, but the Lord has promised to fully and completely restore me. I purchased a butterfly stamp with a sentiment that was for me: Just when the caterpillar thought the world was coming to an end, it turned into a butterfly. I am close to turning into a butterfly and emerging fully restored and healed. So, after facing a life-threatening injury and my life was decimated, I will live again! The BEST is yet to come. Your gorgeous butterfly reminds me of that. ☺☺☺ Marisela in San Antonio, Texas. mariandmonsterd@yahoo.com
