Love you to the Core

As September passes before our eyes, I'm reminded of those happy days when
the weather changes, leaves put on a show of color and all of us  eat apples.

The Greetery's Caramel Apple Die was in my order from the release, and I've
been playing with making tags for candy bags. I saved one for a card.

The apple on the card front opens to a message (love the apple script), and becomes
a sweet surprise for the recipient.

All the apple sentiments are included in the Greetery's Fall Foodie Phases.

Ribbon Maker down the center, and Frosted Frame around the edge. the caramel
is GA'd before adding all the nuts and swirly candy.

The apple blossoms are from  Botanicuts Apple.
Such a fun card to make!
Have a lovely fall week! Well, almost fall...

Apple Pie, Anyone?

Hello friends! Of all  the vehicles to show card craft making, posting on my
blog is my favorite. I get to show you the how's and the what's, including lots
of details, my favorite part of creating a card!

The Greetery's latest,  Harvest Fest, came fast, and I've been playing with it
ever since! The pie die got my attention during the release, and I watched
Angelica's video 3 times! So full of ideas!

My first 4 'pies', baked and ready for cards.

No. 5 pie begged for a card, so I went with apple, added some cinnamon
spice, and Granny Smith apples, and gave it a background from Fall Folk
Stencil.

A few sugar sprinkles,  and my pie is done!

More pies coming up!
Have a delicious week, my friends!

The Flower Challenge #84 Use a Die

Happy September crafty friends!
With so many luscious flower dies out there, we at the Flower Challenge
invite you to 'Use a Die' and play along this month!

Well, my hardest challenge was choosing a die!
I setttled on this Tim  Holtz Thinlits, Brushstroke Flowers 2.
I paired my sponged blooms against a 3-D embossing folder also by
Tim Holtz called 'Doily'.
I've done numerous panels with the doily EF, in lots of color combos,
loving each one!

The method I used to make the doily pop, was to ink the EF in white with a roller,
onto a blush piece of cardstock. Then heavily inking the bottom right corner, before
stamping the text.

I kept the tiny text subtle behind my Beautiful Day sentiment.

So that's it, my friends. Pick a die, use it on a card, and play along!
And, Have a Beautiful Day!

Birthday Pumpkins

Greetings, crafty friends!
My Greetery order arrived in record time, and I
couldn't wait to play! My friend, Lisa Elton picked the colors apricot and
teal for the latest  Just Us Girls challenge. Lisa is one of
the designers on the Jugs team so I thought I'd play along!

The Greetery's latest release has a stencil set, Fall Folk, and thought it'd
be fun to use the challenge colors on grey for my background.

You're allowed to use neutrals as well as the challenge colors. I thing grey's
a neutral, right?
It was almost a shame to cover the background but the Plump Pumpkins looked
so good with the folksy stenciled background, my card became  a fall
birthday  card.

Thanks for the visit, and hope you're having  a great weekend!
