Merry Monday #95

Merry Monday asks us to use an animal on our card.

They honestly have some of the best inspiration in the blogworld!

And, I'm getting my Christmas cards done way early! 

My card features Waltzingmouse's stamp sets: Folk Art Additions & Festive Foliage.

The side trim is from Folk Art Medallion.

The pinstripe is also WM.

Lots of embossing, and Martha Stewart doilies.

Paper Sweeties Feb. Release

Happy Valentine's everyone!

It's countdown time at Paper Sweeties!

And I'm featuring a new stamp set called Home Sweet Home.

The set features 2 different houses, with all the adorable homey accents.

PTI's Anniversary: Building Blocks of Design

With rolls of a die, we are given our design boundaries.

Harvest gold, Berry sorbet, Spring moss with Vintage Cream as my neutral.

Congratulations, to have an inlaid die cut, felt, and ribbon.

I think I made a mistake and embossed the congrats with celery embossing powder, my closest 

ep to spring moss. Don't think I was supposed to have 2 embellishments. 

Otherwise everything is PTI.

Sort of fun having my choices all picked out.

Can't wait to see what everyone else has done with their 'fates'.

Paper Sweeties February Release Sneak Peeks

Welcome to the Paper Sweeties Sneek Peeks!

Paper Sweeties is releasing 2 new stamp sets and 1 fabulous teapot die this month.
My 1st project features the new teapot die, which coordinates with PS's Tea for Two stamp set!
This is such a versatile die and can be used for cards, tags and sweet invitations.

Inspiration came from vintage English chintz teapots.
Something about drinking tea from one of these delicate beauties that enhances each sip!

Love this paper so much, I did another card/invite using the paper but covering the surface with clear embossing powder several times, creating a porcelain like surface.

A bit hard to capture the sheen, much shinier in real life!

The darling tag on top is from another of this month's release. I just used it as a tag with a sentiment from the stamp set: It's Tea Time, and a teacup from: I'm Having a Tea Party.

This card's a trifold.

A peek on the inside.

Embossed in blush and white.

Love this sweet invite to tea from the Tea for Two stamp set!

Card opens and closes with a triple string tie.

Papertrey continues it's 7th Anniversary celebration with a call

to create a card with stripes.

My stripes are created with words and a tumbling teddy.

The Card Concept #3 Pink

The Card Concept challenge is to use monochromatic pink.

I think this week's card falls under 

the Clean & Layered Look, if it's permitted to substitute black (chalkboard) for the white space.

I got this darling stamp set from Simon Says Stamp called 'Chalkboard Love', 

and hadn't used it yet.

Challenge #3 - Use Monochromatic Pink

PTI"s 7th Anniv.

In celebration again, at PapertreyInk, and we are asked to create 

using a large word as a focal point.

It's so much fun to use the new products I ordered.

The word 'mother' ep looks much more 'Melon Berryish' irl, but photographed 

orange outdoors. Oh well.

I did stamp the Solid Stitches and Swirls in white ink first, then in color so they'd 

show up a bit more vivid. Also white inked the word 'mother'.

I love using designer paper, and fell in love with these Jilli Bean Soup Valentine 

prints on Kraft. 

A shaker card was created with a Simon Says die and PTI's bow and arrow from Cupid's Arrow.

Very late in my entry for this week's Merry Monday.

Use a stocking theme.

But didn't want to miss it! Love playing for so many reasons! Mainly I love Christmas,

and find that playing along at Merry Monday keeps the glow alive every week!

Loved the theme, the colors, the warm contemporary style on the challenge photo.

This week's Make it Monday at Papertrey features Betsy Veldman

and Drop Shadow Die cuts.

Her cleverness knows no bounds, so this card is in her honor.

One summer she hung flip flops from a line. Oh how I loved that card.

My teacups are hung from a line after they were shadowed.

Feb. is a month of birthdays in the Penir clan, and this goes to an aunt.

She and I would scour antique and flea markets for vintage tea cups.

I love that I can personalize cards with meaningful images!
