One More Card Set for Alisa

Sent With Love is one more set of cards for Alisa, my daughter, who asked for
some general cards to send out to ladies at her church.

This is a simple set of 4 cards, (so simple I might make it 8), using The Greetery's
new Wild Elegance release.

I began with Color Spots Stencil, stamped with Altenew Inks. I love their inks
for sets that coordinate so beautifully.

This set of inks for instance is Fall Harvest, a set of 4 that blend and
coordinate together perfectly. All one color, no new color formed from
the blend, which is what I wanted for this card set.

The Lovely Silhouettes stamps and dies were backed with a darker shade of
matching cardstock for a little uplift.
The tips of the flowers were also embossed. And each card has a matching
envelope.

I found some wallpaper pattern in my stash and added it to the inside of the box.
I forgot how much I love doing these boxes, so quick and easy, and such a great
way to present the cards!

The back of the box gets some stamping love too!

I don't usually do CAS cards, I'm more of a 'use it all' lover of card making.
But I think she'll like these simpler designs. All my color coordinated bling
is from Poppystamps.

Thanks for the visit!

The Flower Challenge #71 Circle/Circles Reminder

Hello! It's reminder time at the Flower Challenge.

This month it's Circle/Circles. Use a circle with your card.

The circle on this card is cut with 2 sizes of circles (Memory Box), which
forms a frame. It hi lights the clear embossed print of the stamped image
(The Greetery). I added a bit of white pencil to the framed part of the
stamped image, and glued on some sparkly bits.

The beautiful rose is Altenew's, and the outside frame is The Greetery's.

The card is a special one made for our granddaughter, Karly, just married.

2 More Cards for Alisa

In my previous post I mentioned my daughter who asked for some of my cards.
These 2 will also go to her. Thank you cards and other basics she sends out to
her church friends.

Marcia Hill and I were sharing that we just can't seem to put the Greetery's
Wild Elegance away.

These 2 cards use Elegant Arches stamp, with. the center cut away. The butterfly and
dragonfly were both added along with blooms from Honeysuckle Stems.

The butterfly and dragonfly are stenciled. The flower is inked and pencil detailed.

Is it time to put these sets away? We'll see... Just might have to do a few more!

Card Set for Alisa

Hi there!
Do you have your own fan club? Have to say, (totally puffed up), I do.
My family thinks I'm so talented. Not even going to tell them it's the
stamp companies, and all you brilliant inspirers that should get credit.

My daughter asked for some general cards, (she apparently ran out of the 32,000 I've
already given her!), and I was thrilled to have an excuse to play with my Greetery's
new Wild Elegance.

Now here comes the warning: this is a long post. Feel free to scroll quickly. Or, if
you like details, take your time, look around, and please comment. Oh, I love those
comments!

Alisa is a worship pastor at her husband's church, and the women's pastor as well.
She keeps in touch with the flock with calls, cards and plans all their retreats.
(Did I mention cards?) I LOVE that my cards go to women who love God.

The 4 cards I did for her are from the Greetery's newest release, Wild Elegance.
If you pushed that button for the full release, you received stamps, stencils, dies,
and a whole lot of inspiration from the Greetery's Look Book.

This bouquet, for instance comes with an outline stamp and stencils for coloring.
One card uses the stencils, the other copics and pencils.

I paired Lovely Silhouettes with the rubber stamp Elegant Arches for these cards.

I did some fun stenciled envelopes for the cards as well. (Thanks Kelly Lunceford
for the reminder).

Hope you weren't too bored, and maybe got some ideas to do a card set of your own.
And I'll bet you've also got your own fan club... we all deserve it!
Have a great weekend.

Birthday Card

My order with the Greetery arrived on Saturday, (remarkable customer service),
and I couldn't wait to play with the Arched Sentiments and Floral Arches sets.

The colors for this card were inspired by some new inks from Altenew, rich faded
greens.

Let's talk about that arch. Stenciled and stamped florals around a stenciled and
stamped sentiment. Such fun to do, and so beautiful when done!
I watched the video Angelica does on You Tube. It's so helpful and
full of tips.

This is basically a one layer except for the Thank you which is stamped on a
die cut and popped up with foam.

I added a few of the flowers inside the arch around the thank you.

I love all the goodies in this latest release. Can't wait to
use some more of these sets.

Thanks for visiting. Have a great week!

Know What Rhymes With Birthday? MFT's Cheers to Your Birthday

Hello, and welcome to my blog, where I get to share my latest hand crafted cards
and projects. Sometimes you'll see a chicken or their 'handiwork', my sweet dog,
or a peek at my garden.
Today I'm celebrating with MFT's Cheers To Your Birthday Card sets.

Within the set are various bar glasses, and these martini, or as I used them, margarita
glasses. You can even see the salt on the rim!

One with a lime wedge, and the other with cherried umbrella.  This photo gives a detailed
look at the vellum glasses, inked on the edges, the sponge inked margaritas, and a few other
fun design elements.

With the exception of the Halvsies die by The Greetery, all product is MFT.
I've listed what I used below.
Hope you got a chuckle from the sentiment! I know just who's getting this
happy birthday card, and she loves margaritas! (Who doesn't?)
Have a great week!

The Flower Challenge: #71 Circle/Circles

Hi and welcome to August! We have a new challenge on The Flower Challenge Blog.
Use a circle or circles with your main star, flower.

I needed a sympathy card for a friend who lost her mother recently, and thought of
encircling my sentiment (The Greetery) with a circle.

This is one of my favorite circles to use, it's by Altenew and it's called: Mid Century
Frame Die.

The card also features one of my old time favorite techniques, clear embossing
on a dark card stock. I stamped Altenew's Dot Art on the corners of my 3 3/4 x 5" panel
and glued it to a panel of silver cardstock cut just a hair bigger. That panel was
added to my card base.

The beautiful rose is also Altenew, Open Bloom 3D Die Set.

I began with die cutting the flower from watercolor card stock, and lightly colored it
with my watercolors. Didn't like it, and went over the pieces with Distressed Oxide ink.
The slight texture of the pieces looked like felt when I assembled the flower.
Loved the result!
Don't you love happy accidents?

Hope you have some ideas for adding circles to your cards, and play along
with our latest challenge. We love to see your creative genius!

Have a wonderful, crafty week!

Christmas Cards with Leaves All Around

Playing with The Greetery's Leaves All Around, and this time created a Christmas
card using half of the diecut.

I'm behind on my Christmas cards this year, so the previous few I have will
soon be joined with a growing stash. (Christmas in August?)

The background panel is stamped several times with Windowpane, a large
rubber stamp. The merry sprigs are from Hoop Wreath and the sentiment
from Opposites Attract

I had the bottom die cut left over, and created a second card, this time with a
panel white inked stenciled and then cut from Nordic Frames.
I also try to personalize Christmas envelopes to coordinate the Christmas cards.

Tucked in some leftover pieces from the first card, and added some Nuvo drops.

Well, my Christmas stash has officially begun!

Time to put Leaves All Around away for a while. This lovely frame die packs a
wow on a card, and has so many design options!

Have a great week!
