It's the 15th of the month and that means Paper Sweeties May Release Party!

Excitement about the new 'Get Well' stamps and Sweet Cut dies has
been building for 3 days, and today's the day you can purchase
what you've seen!

Sweet Cuts - Sweeties Wagon

I cut the wagon from one of the new dies, and together with
another new die for Bloom and Grow stamps, made this card.

Paper Sweeties May Release Countdown!

It's Day 2 of Paper Sweeties new stamp release for May,
better know as 'Countdown'.
Tomorrow these fun new stamps and dies you've seen will be available for purchase.
As I said yesterday, the theme this month is 'Feel Better'!
Today I've featured the darling new sentiment, Heard you're S(ICK).
It fit perfectly on the die cut and stamp from Beautiful.

Don't know about you, but when I'm under the weather all I want is a warm blanket!
My card base is a 5 1/4" square with a pinwheel style quilt cut from several designer papers.
I sewed the triangles up with my machine, added the PS sentiment from the new set, Feel Better Soon, (copic colored), and tied it
on with PS Robin's Egg twine.
Heart tag from last month's release die cut from cork, a few pins and button.

The design team is loaded with Get Well Wishes,
and remember to come back tomorrow for Release Day!

MIM #164: Cluster Stamping

Make It Monday's tutorial on Cluster Stamped Sentiment with Heather Nichols.
A fun way to high light your sentiment, and Heather shows us some
tricks to make that happen!

Sentiment from Wonderful Words: Birthday
Versamark stamped and embossed with clear.
BG stamped with Background Basics: Random Stripe.
Then stars from Super Stars.

Paper Sweeties May Release Sneak Peek!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties May Release Sneak Peek!
The theme this month Get Well!
There are 2 new stamp sets and 1 group of Sweet Cuts for previous released stamps.

My card features Nurse Sophie

I created the background using one of the new stamps in Feel Better Soon, a bandaid
with a heart in the middle.
Just perfect for copic coloring!
Sophie of course has her own die, the outfit is fussy cut.
Those darling sentiments (and check mark) are also in the new set.
Sophie's kleenex box is from a new set you'll see tomorrow.
Last month PS release featured tags and mat dies together with the sweet glittered heart.
And don't forget the Cotton Candy Baker's Twine, one of several colors Paper Sweeties offers!

Be sure to see what the rest of the design team has, and don't forget to come back tomorrow!

MIM #163

Danielle has us wrapping our envelopes this week on Make It Monday.
She shows us how to give double duty to our border dies.

Graduation is coming fast, and I made a card for a boy.

Just the Ticket on Kraft, stamped in Scarlett Jewel and black, outlined in white.
Wonderful Words: Congrats

I used the star Cover Plate, and cut it down a bit to encase the stamped tickets,
trying to keep it one layer for mailing.

Reverse of the envelope, tickets wrap from top and bottom.

You can find Danielle's video and sample beauties here on Nichole's blog:

Paper Sweeties May Inspiration Challenge #18 - Cupcakes & Sprinkles

May is here! Unbelievable!
And it's time for Paper Sweeties Blog Hop
with this delicious inspiration photo!

Couldn't you just take a bite of each one?!

Last month Paper sweeties introduced a new stamp set called: Happy Everything!
and a die to go with the frame in Beautiful!

Jeanne Jachna (12 Kits of Occasions) sent a kit with this adorable checked envelope in it.
I made a card with a gift card holder on the front.

The Nordstrom in Roseville, CA, has a coffee bar with the best cupcakes you've ever tasted!
This is for my daughter (who lives in Roseville), when I go to stay with her in late May.
Hopefully I'll get to share the cupcakes!
I wanted to showcase Paper Sweeties Blueberry Baker's Twine and sequins,
the cutest I've ever seen!

Be sure to check the other designers to see what inspiration they have for you!

May Guest Designer:  Mynnette Kitchen

The 12 Kits of Occasions - April 14

What would you do if, magically at your doorstep, was a box filled with wonder
of all of the above?
First gasp…
then giggle…
and then, make cards!

Good morning and welcome to a guest post for 12 Kits of Occasions!
I was asked to be their guest this month.
And by 'their' I mean all the wonderfully talented designers of 'The 12 Kits'

Jeanne Jackna is the sweet elf who left these gorgeous goodies above on MY doorstep!
Here are my cards!

All in my box of goodies, die cuts, ribbons, jewels, and designer papers!

The center of this set of cards was also included, a gold embossed on white card stock.
So elegant a look needed an equally elegant setting!

…with matching envies and stickers.

There's more!

Die & papers, & jewels, oh my!

This die cut of a navy parasol was also in the box!

How did Jeanne know I'm about to be a grandma again in just 22 days?

Well that's it folks, I could have done many more, but if you like to see more of the
magic set of wonders done by the 12 kits (and 2 guest designers this month) check
it out here:

MIM #162: Paper Scrap Pie Charts

My 'pie chart' has an oddly quilt like feel.
Well, Melissa said, 'use up some of that scrap'.
I think I win the award for hoarded scrap.
Just can't seem to throw it away!

PTI April Blog Hop: Embroidered Inspirations

One more quick post for PTI's April Blog Hop!
Did this last night, but woke up to some much needed rain.
My photos are always shot outside, so had to wait for the sun to peek out.
Just enough for a few photos!

1st time use of the 'hello' die, just love it for a note card!
Saw these colors together on Pinterest. Aren't they just happy?
All Papertrey products:
Strawberry Patch dies
Be Happy die (scallop)
PTI felts
PTI cardstocks
(Green pattern wool felt from stash)
I finally read through all of Nichole's post where we didn't have to actually embroider our
creations, and I can't believe how wonderful everyone is cleverly fauxing their cards,
but I love to sew, almost as much as I love playing with paper!
Might just get another in. (Should be cleaning my craft room!)
Have fun hopping!

MIM #161

One more post for MIM's Watercolor Splat challenge.

A card for my 13 yr. old grandson Carson.
He'll probably hate the hearts, but I sure love him!

MIM #161

MIM this week with Nichole Heady showing us the versatility of PTI's dye inks.

I LOVE creating my own backgrounds, and went with a watery effect for a boy's bd card.
The inks (Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, Tropical Teal & Limeaid Ice) were applied on an angle
with daubers, then came the water drop fun!
When dry, I stamped Lil' Rockfish (Fred B. Mullett) in Scarlett Jewel.
The seaweed is a die from Birds & Blooms,
and the fan coral, a die from Delightful Dahlias.
Birthday die cut from Birthday Trio, and pieces carefully replaced. Happy from Rock On.
One little fish was stamped onto Orange zest, and hand cut.
PTI cardstocks.

I added a few 'bubbles' with crystal scribbles.

I'm going right back in to do more 'watercolor splats'.
Can't you just picture doing this with all the other colors?
So many possibilities, better get back to the fun!

The Card Concept Challenge #8

We are to use an umbrella for Card Challenge #8.
I have so few umbrella stamps, and none motivated me, finally with some time to do a card,
and a paper hors d'oeuvre umbrella, I did a warm beachy scene.
Mine is a beach umbrella!
I thought we could all do with a little sunshine.

Flipping Out stamp and die set: PTI
In the Meadow dies for sand and sea: PTI
A mix of embossing powders (aqua, gold, sand, ivory & copper)
Sentiment, PTI: Happy for you. The fun thing about acrylic stamps is that you can
bend them to follow a wave!

Lil Inkers Stitched Rectangle die.

I would call my card a Freestyle Collage because of the paper umbrella.
You still have a few days to play!

Curtain Call Card Challenge: Confetti Crush

Curtain Call Challenge calls for confetti

I instantly thought of Papertrey's feather stamp set with the gorgeous dotty detail.
First white embossed, then watercolor stamped in
Aqua Mist, Blueberry Sky and Tropical Teal from PTI.
Then when dry, I gold glitter embossed the dots.

PTI Feather Finery
Sentiment: Waltzingmouse Fine Feathers

Gold tape from Betsy's Luxe Letterpress.
