Playing along with Ashley this Monday morning,
as she shares her fussy cutting tips.
Worked with the Strawberry Patch and Strawberry Patch Sentiments sets,
and fussy cut the created sentiment.
Scallop frame from Make It Market: Shakers and Sprinkles.
I finished the card without the ribbon,
but then decided to add it.
What do you think?
To beribbon, or not to beribbon,
that's the question.
Yum! Those strawberries look good enough to eat! I like it best without the ribbon, as the sentiment stands out more. But then, I'm not really a ribbon-kind-of-girl, to start with ;) But beautiful either way! Nice idea to use that frame, too. I keep forgetting to try that...
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty!! I love the watercoloring that you did. You rocked the fussy cutting-I thought it was a new die cut that was being offered when I saw the sentiment!! I like the card WITH the ribbon. It just seems more polished. I don't know. Stunning card!!
ReplyDeleteWhen I first looked at your card, I thought "oh, that gingham ribbon is soooooo sweet"! Then I saw your sentiment - so I think it's just the perfect touch!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteStunning Nancy! Looks good with and without the ribbon but my vote is for without...
ReplyDeleteYou watercoloured the berries? My oh my, Nancy, you always stun me. Love how you created an arranged sentiment and then fussy cut, but it's hard to believe that you really did the cutting by hand; it's just too perfect! My vote would be for no ribbon, but both ways are sweet.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and so sweet. Love that fussy cut sentiment. It looks like it was die cut.... Amazing watercoloring.I vote without the ribbon.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty card with the strawberries and fussy cut sentiment! Hmmm...good question about the ribbon...'cause I like both ways!:-)
ReplyDeleteOhhh! This is so pretty! I love it.
ReplyDeleteYour card has a "berry sweet" artsy feel to it. ;) I love the color palette. Personally, I like the ribbon. It's a perfect touch. :)
ReplyDeleteThis card is just so sweet Nancy...love everything about it! Those strawberries look amazing with your watercolored background, and your fussy cut sentiment looks just perfect against it! I like your gingham ribbon too, but like it better without....I can see more of your beautiful stamping that way! :0)
ReplyDeleteSo sweet how you created your own stamped sentiment to fussy cut! Love it! Thanks for taking on the fussy cutting challenge for this week's Make It Monday!
ReplyDeleteTake my breath away with this gorgeous watercolor ,Nancy! Simply stunning and your fussy cut sentiment is gorgeous ! So beautifully framed as well .
ReplyDeletePicture perfect and all framed up!! Beautifully colored, water color and fussy cut sentiment! You nailed it Nancy!
ReplyDeleteoh wow, love the look of your card, very beautiful, Nancy!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card and so berry luscious. I like the card both ways, with and without the ribbon. Guess you need to make another card to satisfy the ribbon issue. LOL.
ReplyDeleteOh look at these berries! They look so good that I almost want to put one in my mouth! :-) Great job coloring!
ReplyDeleteOh, this is fabulous! I love it!
ReplyDeleteoh my sweetness!! I like the ribbon, but I guess my eyes do bounce from sentiment to bow...both want to be the focal point. Either way I just want to stare at it =)
ReplyDeleteAmazing, as always! Love, love, love this!
ReplyDeleteNancy, this is fabulous and oh so sweet with those water colored berries. The way you framed it makes it look just like a picture so I vote for no ribbon...even though I love that gingham.
ReplyDeleteNancy your card is beautiful! Great stamp set to use for this sweet design idea. I like the gingham ribbon with the strawberries, but then thought your card looks just as pretty without it. Sorry, not much help here ;-)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Nancy I love your water colored background.
