Playing along with Make My Monday Challenge Blog,
where our inspiration is 'Pets'.
We have lived on a couple of acres in California'a Central Valley
(Clovis), for 25 years. This is our first year sharing space with a dozen
chickens. Pullets, they're called. They joined us before Easter.
'Us', includes me, hubby, son, son's wife, son & wife's 2 boys, 4 & 1 1/2,
3 cats, 2 ducks, 35 koi, and 5 rabbits.
Meet Joan and Jet
The chickens, ducks and rabbits live happily together in a coop,
and have imprinted me as their mother!
All to explain why I chose my chickens as the pet to showcase on my card
for the challenge.

Polly wants to know if I brought a treat.
Hopefully all 12 chickens are truly egg laying pullets (female).
If not, and there's a few roosters (20% chance), we'll all be early risers soon!

I want chickens so bad!! However, I know I would not like the upkeep. We can't have them either due to an ordinance that was passed in our town. LOVE your fun card. I like the way you made the scene bigger with the watercolor. Totally fabulous idea!!
