Hi everyone! It's the end of September and time for the 12 Kits' post.
This month our hostess is Kim Heggins, (Cupcakes, Cards and Kim) and she's sent us
a kit full of Friends and Food! What could be more fun!
Leading off with some sprinkles, and a joy filled box of sweets!
Kim included this sentiment, I added die cuts and an ampersand heart. So much
fun to dress up in pink!
I haven't tried avocado toast, but hear it's all the rage. Lots of 'pop ups' with foam
and added to a Greetery frame.
Truth is, to own this coppery mixer, complete with all it's attachments,
is a dream of mine. Baking is one of my passions, and I would love a mixer
that kneeds the dough for me.
Adding a closeup of the mixer, painted with metallics:
And a photo of my 'vintage' mixer:
50 years with this 'old gal'. Still works great. A wedding present from my hubby's
aunt when we got married 50 years ago in march! So many delicious memories
within this bowl! Ah, but I can still dream each time I pass a Williams Sonoma
window with those shiny new mixers in every color under the rainbow!
Can't wait to see what my teammies did with their kits, especially the mixer!
Thanks for the visit, and thank you for your comments. Love reading each one.
Fab cards, and my Dad has one of those mixers...still runs beautifully.
ReplyDeleteFabulous cards, so happy, sweet and fun!! Love your mixer, it's great having things that are during in time!! A lot of memories with them! :)
ReplyDeleteSo fun to see all the different creations with the same products. Fantastic cards, Nancy.
ReplyDeleteI bet your vintage mixer will outlast the new ones.
Oh my goodness Nancy, your donuts look good enough to eat! I LOVE the sprinkles you added. All of your cards are fabulous. Your metallic mixer looks great. Perhaps that copper mixer you long for is in the cards for your 50th anniversary coming up! Start dropping those hints ;)
ReplyDeleteOh Nancy! You rocked the coloring again! I love the way you added color to the large FRIENDS stamp - the bit of pink is so pretty! And OMG! The paper under the donuts! BRILLIANT! Sparkly frosting too! Your mix master is awesome in the metallic ink - love that you still have your Sunbeam. I think my Mom has the same one.. I haven't thought about cooking with that in years. I will have to ask her about it when I see her next. I remember the words on the dial. Good memories here!
ReplyDeleteWhat 50 years ! How could you be that far ahead of us!!! Well, Congratulations to you, not sure I knew that.
ReplyDeleteI love that you still have that mixer and use it.
The tissue in your donut box is such a great touch , that card is detailed to the max and I love it! I love the yellow shimmer mixer card too. Such beautiful cards , Nancy! I hope you and all the grandkids enjoy all the fun of October !
You are so creative, Nancy! Love how you put elements together & used all those neat die cuts! Loved getting to play along with you guys this month!
ReplyDeleteOh my Nancy, where do I even begin?? I love all your cards, but 50 years is a big celebration with your hubby and with the mixer. haha! I just adore all your layered beauties, especially the mixer card with the wonky sentiment in the corner and the little flower peeking through..... too sweet! Your donut card is just as adorable in all its layered goodness and those delightful sprinkles. You've done amazing things with Kim's kit. Happy October my friend.
ReplyDeleteFUN and FABULOUS cards Nancy and I especially had to smile at the gold mixer...so you!! Love the photo of your "vintage" mixer too and congrats on 50 years together (both your hubby and the mixer!!)! I am totally in love with your doughnut card too and just LOVE the little piece of tissue paper in the box...totally made me smile!! Wonderful, wonderful cards my friend!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteThese are all wonderful designs, Nancy! I love the paper in the doughnut box, what a great idea! I also love your red toaster and copper mixer! When any of us grandchildren got married, my grandma made sure we each got a Kitchen Aid mixer - God bless her for that!
ReplyDeleteSuch "sweet" cards and you must make avocado toast sometime. It's yummy and add a medium over-easy egg. Congratulations on 50+ years of marriage! You must have been a child bride.
ReplyDeleteFantastic as always! I especially love the card with the mixer. I adore that you attached a recipe. And I can’t believe your mixer is 50 years old and still working. Wow! I wish I didn’t love to cook/bake as much as I do...my hips and midsection have never been the same! Ha! :D
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw your donuts on IG I flipped, how amazing is both your colouring and the sprinkles!! You should try avocado toast sometime, I like it best on grain toast with just a bit of the 'Everything but the Bagel' sprinkled on it! They don't make them like they used to do they. Your mix master card is awesome and so is your mix master! How special that you still have it and it works! Love them all as always!
ReplyDeletewow...can't believe you have been married for 50 years, you don't even look like you are 50 years old!!! Love that mixer, my mom had one like that when I was growing up, so fun to see you still have one! Love all your beautiful cards, the details, the colors and your incredible designs, but your toast is what I love the most, it is toasted just the way I like, a bit on the dark side, so yummy. Really love all your fabulous and fun cards.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your long-lasting marriage and mixer! My Sunbeam lasted 40+ years, too. I loved that machine, a wedding gift from my grandma. I also love your cards--you do wonderful work!
