Happy 4th of July, all my crafty American friends! It's time to celebrate.

Any plans?

We have plans for a swim, barbecue and watch fireworks at the high 

school near by. A great tradition with family and friends.

How about some card making?

We are asked to create a CAS card at the Flower Challenge, and for some 

inspiration,  how about some red, white and blue!

Lots of white space... check!

simple design... check!

The Flower Challenge #72 Reminder: Add Sparkle

It's reminder time at the Flower Challenge, where the theme this month is

Add Sparkle. 

I used a few sparkles on my reminder card. Paper with glitter stripes, glitter

paper, and some sparkle spray on my bouquet.

You can see the sparkle on this photo. I've had this stripped paper for years

and was so happy to use it for this card.

The Glitter paper is from Poppystamps

My die cuts are from the Greetery, and the paper I used for the wrap is a wrapping

off a bar of soap I saved because it was just too special to toss!

Add some sparkle to your creation and play along!

The Flower Challenge #72 Add Sparkle Reminder

 

Hello, hope all is well with you. If you're a Greetery fan, you're well acquainted with the

new Confections release. I spent a good amount of time playing with some of the stamps

and dies in the set for the past few days. I was on Grandma duty up in the mountains of

Ahwanhee, where the air was crisp and frosty. Once the grands were in school, it was a 

combo of creative time and dog walking. Pure joy!

Like most of you, I've read our birthday stash is seriously depleted. Time to re-stash! 

And what a fabulous set of stamps and dies Betsy has given us! I love to multi-stamp, and

pile on the layers. So this set, for me, pushes all my buttons.

Loving the sweetness of the 'sweet' script!

First to be played with was an idea I had for a box of donuts. 

This isn't that thick as I used no foam, just layers, so I'm sure is fine for mailing.

Another card is coming, just have to put it together. Like I said spent days die 

cutting and stamping the candies and cookies. Stay tuned!

25 Days of Christmas: Day 23

 

Day 23, 25 Days of Christmas Tags, and the sponsor today is: Penguin Palace.

All the sweet tags, and my favorite today is Tracey's below

Tracey used a round scallop tag, and adorable penguins. 

My tag is round (PTI Mix and Mat Circle),  and my penguin is from Pom Pom Pals.

And yes there's a pom pom on the penguin's beanie.

 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2020 - Day 23 

Thinking of You

Happy 2017 everyone!

Looking forward to a year full of creating. 

And seeing what you create too!

Completely thrilled to be joining the team at Happy Little Stampers

as they launch a new Watercolor Challenge.

The month of January hosts this beauty from Barb Houser as our muse:

Because Barb used stenciling, just had to add the technique

to my card. But it's optional, you don't have to add it.

Butterfly stamp from HLS' new set, Especially For You.

Made a stencil from the butterfly (5 of them!) and dabbed on

my colors. Lastly, a spray from Lindy's Stamp Gang; 

Starburst: Furry Navel Peach.

(the coppery color with a shimmer)

Next stamped 3 butterflies with Ranger Archival Ink and

used my Zigs to color just one piece of their wings in aqua and navy.

Added my watercolor piece to a bg black & white plaid from PTI.

The sentiment was added, and finally a few sequins to finish.

the perfect watercolor.
