The Card Concept Challenge 26 1yr. Anniversary

Wanted to play along with the Card Concept,
celebrating their 1 year anniversary!

Congratulations to one of my favs in the challenge world!

Their guest designer is Andrea Ewen,
who treats us with this shabby chic beauty,

I took her card, and did mine in the same style, Shabby Chic-ish,
and dedicate it to Card Challenge, with my thanks for
their inspiring challenges over the past year.
Keep them coming gals!

Merry Monday #132 Snowflakes

I wasn't going to let Merry Monday's challenge slip away from me this week,
especially since time is short until Christmas cards go out.

Snowflakes, dry embossing and neutral colors, are the challenge for us.
Love these new snowflakes from Waltzingmouse!
The largest, Folk Art Snowflake was dry embossed and 'snow' inked.

Tried to mimic the icing on these snowflakes, kind of coppery.

WM: Snowflakes #1 & 2 embossed with ivory and then embossed again with gold and copper.
Yes, a lot of steps, but needed to get what I wanted.
Tiny snowflakes inked with PTI's Vintage Cream, stamp from WM: Warm Fuzzies.
'Let it Snow' from Compliments of the Season (Waltzingmouse)
All cardstock PTI

Waltzingmouse October PJ Party: Bed Time Story, Sketch Challege

Last Challenge for WM's PJ Party!

This sketch

Followed it rather loosely with this card

Just don't know how you could use the Big Owl set and NOT get compliments!
He's fabulous! Perfect fall addition.
Anyway, with 11 grandkids,  this goes to one of them, probably a boy.
Happy Halloween all!

The Card Concept #20 - Color Challenge

The Card Concept's challenge is to use orange, black and white
this week.
 Here's their inspiration photo:

It's Halloween time folks, and these colors emphasize
fall's holiday season.

Waltzingmouse stamp sets: Boo and Friends & Great Big Owl helped
create this chalkboard card.
Little Boo is embossed on vellum (he's a ghost after all!), with
paperpieced lolly and pumpkin
All cardstock PTI

Freestyle Collage

My husband and I spent the week at the coast, where we enjoyed
great weather, and an Apple Farm with more pumpkins I've EVER seen in
one place.
Took these photos with my phone.

The farm was tucked into the hills, and sold every good thing the earth produced.
They even had a petting zoo for children.

One or two last photos to enjoy.

Do you like stopping at little farms and getting lost in
their bounty? I make my DH pull over at every one we see.

Hope you enjoyed a bit of the beauty of Autumn!

Waltzingmouse PJ Party: Old Pajamas

Welcome to Challenge 3 of Waltzingmouse's PJ Party night!

This challenge? Old Pajamas!

Santa Clause is Coming to Town is not old to me, but I believe it's an older release.
It was on my wish list, and when Claire had a'Christmas Sale',
put it right in my cart!
That, and the Vintage Christmas Background behind it!
I carefully cut out a window, and created a shaker.

Waltzingmouse PJ Party: Too Cute to Spook

Too Cute to Spook!
Treats for the little ones!

Around a box of ghost peeps is a strip of vellum.
The edge of the Picot Panel frames and fit perfectly.
Must say, I loved how Claire topped her tags,
so I, too, fancied my Stitched Tags up a bit with the Picot Panel Die.
Stamped sentiment and candy from Candy Wagon.

Finished pops off with glossy accents.

Waltzingmouse Fanatics Challenge #25

If you love all things Waltzingmouse,
then you're known as a Waltzingmouse Fanatic.
And there's a challenge for us.

A sketch challenge, this time.

My card features the You're a Doll Stamp and Die sets.

Using the sketch, I stamped the floral image on the bottom and added Viva Kiwi pen to the centers.
Each doll image was embossed and added to a Spellbinders frame, which is clear embossed and selectively inked.
The top portion used the laurel stamp with Blueberry Viva pen, and Winter Wisteria ink (PTI).
I was in a hurry to post this card, as the challenge ends tomorrow, and smudged a bit of the Kiwi pen (lower right).
No time for do-overs, please forgive me!
Be sure to check Claire's blog for more Fanatics Challenges, especially if you too are
a Waltzingmouse fan, or fan-a-tic!

Merry Monday #121

The Challenge at Merry Monday is to use Pinecones & Greens
with Plaid Ribbon.

As hot as it is outside, making a frosty card was just what I needed!

Stamps and Dies are Waltzingmouse: Festive Foliage
Cardstock & Inks: PTI

I spritzed the inked stamps, and rolled them in 3 colors for the pine needles and cones.
Once dry, I applied Viva Dacor Glitter Liner in Holo Iridescent.
The bg is stamped with white on kraft
Stitching die from Lil Inkers,
frame from PTI's Fabulous Frames
Rusty Bells: Paper Sweeties

Feeling cooler already!
