Alleluia! Happy Easter

It's Easter week and I have so much to do, baking, shopping, playing with grandkids...
but somehow I found time to be in the craft room (early morning!) and create a card
for PapertreyInk's new challenge: Transformation Tuesday.
This week Melissa Phillips took a beautiful card she made, and simply
changed colors and styles.
I did a card for the Card Concept Challenge with Brushed Birds,

and a cover plate with branches.

With a few birds left over, decided to do the second card using the Shape Shifters: Circle 1 die,
together with Beautiful Berries: Spring, changing up the colors from aqua & yellow,
to Amethyst and Yellow. I added a bit of glitter to this one as well.

I enjoyed this challenge, transforming or tweaking a card a bit, using the same or similar elements
and stamps.

SAF '17 with Stephanie Gold: Cotton

Stephanie Gold in her very 1st SAF, made a glittery card full of cotton candy!
Well, it certainly looked every bit like the real thing.
One of the things she showed us on her video, was applying glitter.
And that's one of the things I used on this card.

Using double sided tape in 1/4 & 1/2", I sprinkled on black German Glass Glitter, pressing it
down for even cover. Stephanie suggests topping off with GA to seal it. I didn't.
My cotton is cotton string, dyed with Terracotta Tile reinker. Rather turned out pink, but like
the ombre effect on the string.

Projects coming soon! Isn't this fun?

Virginia's View Challenge #17: Embellishments!

Had to play along with 'Virginia's View challenge',
and squeaking in at the last minute!
We are asked to embellish!
I just know I'm not the only compulsed collector of every form of
embellie, from glitter paper to rhinestones and pearls of every
color and size, to clips, buttons, twine and ribbon!
You see? I just had to play along!

Great excuse to embellish with freedom!

A shot of the inside where I 'embellished with embossing powder
& gold stripe washi tape.
I'm doing a bunch of these for a craft fair in November.
The fun papers make it easy!

Memory Box: Clairmont Ornaments & Merry Christmas dies.
White with Gold Dot paper (Indian) & PapertreyInk Shimmer blue.
American Crafts: Red Glitter paper & gold foil card stock
Inside: PTI Vintage Ornaments & Wet Paint Holiday
Recollections red rhinestones.
