Waltzingmouse October PJ Party: Texturize It!

It's pajama time at Waltzingmouse!
First challenge is to 'Texturize It'.

My card is cut square 5 1/4 x 5 1/4"
Background is embossing paste through a stencil.
Folk Art Snowflake cut twice and glittered with Distress Clear Rock Candy
Snowflakes 1 & 3 popped up over lacey copper 'ribbon'.
(Love those snowflakes!)
Sentiment copper eb from 'Tis the Season'.

Waltzingmouse October PJ Party: Snow Is Falling

Hi again! It's PJ time at Waltzingmouse.

Challenge 2 at WM's PJ Party, make something with recognizable snow!

Snowflakes 1 # 2, glittered & popped up.
Sentiment from: Compliments of the Season,
embossed with white and gold on vellum card stock.
Dotty paper is a wrapping paper, left over from last year.
Just love it's random dots that remind of snow!

Waltzingmouse October Pajama Party: Old Pajamas

Challenge #3 at Waltzingmouse is to use Old Pajamas, and to use
an old WM Christmas set.

I made a couple of shaker tags using an old favorite:
Very Vintage Christmas.
Had to hand cut the red, don't have the die for it, but not hard.
Love handmade tags on gifts, don't you?

Paper Sweeties October Release Countdown!

Welcome back to Paper Sweeties October Countdown!
Tomorrow's the day you can purchase the new stamps and dies
brand new for October!

I have a card for you today, featuring a stylized Christmas tree.

The tree you see is part of a wonderful new set called
Trim the Tree.
I'm sure many of you already know this,
but you can enlarge or shrink a stamp to fit you mood or style.
I stamped the tree you see, then set my printer to enlarge the image by 175%
  onto white card stock.
I then copic colored the flourishes in fuchsia and green.
The poinsettia is colored red, then covered with Glossy Accents.
Hard to see, but Glossy Accented the circle ornies too.
I love that you can get more mileage out of your stamps by
changing their size, or using dies.
By the way, there are dies that go with this stamp set. (Yay!)
The Joy die is die cut twice, and placed on an angle.
(This die, along with some other sentiments will be available tomorrow)
If you don't already know, Paper Sweeties also has a full
colorful line of seam binding, like the bright Raspberry I used here.

Are you getting excited?
Remember, tomorrow's the day!
Meanwhile be sure to check out the rest of the DT:

The Card Concept #20 - Color Challenge

The Card Concept's challenge is to use orange, black and white
this week.
 Here's their inspiration photo:

It's Halloween time folks, and these colors emphasize
fall's holiday season.

Waltzingmouse stamp sets: Boo and Friends & Great Big Owl helped
create this chalkboard card.
Little Boo is embossed on vellum (he's a ghost after all!), with
paperpieced lolly and pumpkin
All cardstock PTI

Freestyle Collage

My husband and I spent the week at the coast, where we enjoyed
great weather, and an Apple Farm with more pumpkins I've EVER seen in
one place.
Took these photos with my phone.

The farm was tucked into the hills, and sold every good thing the earth produced.
They even had a petting zoo for children.

One or two last photos to enjoy.

Do you like stopping at little farms and getting lost in
their bounty? I make my DH pull over at every one we see.

Hope you enjoyed a bit of the beauty of Autumn!

Fusion Challenge Sunflowers & MIM #183 & Virginia's View Challenge

Fusion Challenge has this autumn inspiration:

I combined the two (photo and sketch),
for this card:

I think it was Heather Nichols that used the bleach technique for a
PTI Make It Monday.
I love doing it! Allows for coloring on a dark card stock,
such as the Enchanted Evening I used.
Colored with watercolors.
PTI: Botanical Blocks, Fancy That
Quatrefoil die
Zing EP: Mustard
PTI Cardstocks

Also posting in PTI's MIM this week with Dawn;
Dry Emboss over Heat Emboss

Make It Monday #183: Dry Embossing Over Heat Embossing

I think it's Clean and Simple, so adding to

MIM #183: Dry Embossing Over Heat Embossing

Happy Monday!
And Happy MIM with Dawn at PapertreyInk!

This technique is really very simple, and packs a wow punch to your cards!

Finishing up the Halloween cards for the grandkids +
some children of friends.
This was a perfect set of tools for quick cards.

After embossing the ghosts and sentiment,
dry embossed Horizontal Stripes (yes, Horizontal!) to mimic a fence.
Partially cutout the top ghost so the ghost border would fit behind him.
Embossed (with Zing) 2 more borders to look like crime tape.
(Think I watch too many murder mysteries!)
All onto Orange Zest leafy Pattern Paper.
Lots of rainstones sprinkled about.
Thank You Dawn, as always, love every moment watching and learning from you!

Time is running short for this week's Merry Monday,
and I love playing along!

I knew what I was going to do, and what dies
I was going to use.
But time was out! Just getting in under the line!

No stamping, (can you believe it?)
All Poppystamps dies!
PapertreyInk cardstocks and paper.
Can you see the glitter on the garland?

Poppystamps 1st Challenge! Falloween Fun!

The Poppy Stamps website has announced it's 1st Challenge,
Falloween Fun!
I saw the challenge through a few blogging friends
who design for Poppy Stamps,
You can find them and their inspiration here:
Marybeth Lopez Boo!

I just received my Christmas order, unfortunately didn't order any
Fall or Halloween,
but did get this versatile lined tree,
called Large Fremont Pine Outline.
Really a Christmas Tree, but tweaked with the right colors, think it
works as an Autumn tree.

I cut the die twice with PTI card stocks,
and used their Herringbone  & First Fruits stamp sets.
Lil' Inkers Stitched Mats: Rounded Rectangles
Tim Holtz Distress Inks (Tree background)
Twine, metal leaves and sequins complete.

MIM #182: Mason Jar Stamping

MIM features Melissa Phillips showing us some tricks to
turn Mason Jars into treats!

I had these jars I use for pomegranate jelly, that were really too big
for the jelly I give away at Christmas.
Perfect size for this project.

Did 3 for my kitchen window ledge, all alike,
that will be lined up like little soldiers.

PTI's Happy Spooky Halloween
& Mr. Bones
Tremendous Tags

Applied a bit of Inca-Gold to the raised parts and edges.

Here they are, lined up in front of the window.
They will show up much better at nighttime.
Just as I took the picture Miss Frizz decided to climb onto the table outside
and look at the camera.
She loves to have her picture taken!

Nesting Doll Card Set

Had an enjoyable nite out with the girls, and celebrated my friend Sophie's birthday!
She saw a tag I did with Waltzingmouse's You're a Doll, and loved the

Don't you love having friends and family as a cheering section!
Her gift was sealed in stone from that day.

The set of 8 cards, with matching envelopes and 8 self stick seals,
also used images from Folk Art Medallion.
Simple, almost one layer, for easy mail.

Packaged in an acrylic see through box, a matching tag
and gift done!

Pink cheek blush powder

It's always fun just enjoying your stamps!
