The Card Concept: Holiday Gatherings

Welcome back to The Card Concept Challenge.
I hope your holiday was everything wonderful!
The Card Concept is a challenge to create a card using a style. We have several suggestions
for you on our blog, or you can pick one of your own, or even combine 2 or more
styles. I'm excited to be back with this fabulous photo inspiration.

I was immediately drawn to the gold in the photo,  and used plenty of it
on my card. Also the color swatches, the stars, and the goblets. Pretty. much
everything in the photo!

Dies used from The Greetery, and MFT. Background sprays from Lindy's
Stamp Gang.

The Ribbon Maker die from the Greetery was backed with Gold Foil card stock,
and the goblets were cut from gold as well.
My card is Elegant Glam, a style I made up! Perfectly acceptable, as I said
before!
Our challenges are for 2 weeks, and we love seeing your creations!

Happy New Year!

Know What Rhymes With Birthday? MFT's Cheers to Your Birthday

Hello, and welcome to my blog, where I get to share my latest hand crafted cards
and projects. Sometimes you'll see a chicken or their 'handiwork', my sweet dog,
or a peek at my garden.
Today I'm celebrating with MFT's Cheers To Your Birthday Card sets.

Within the set are various bar glasses, and these martini, or as I used them, margarita
glasses. You can even see the salt on the rim!

One with a lime wedge, and the other with cherried umbrella.  This photo gives a detailed
look at the vellum glasses, inked on the edges, the sponge inked margaritas, and a few other
fun design elements.

With the exception of the Halvsies die by The Greetery, all product is MFT.
I've listed what I used below.
Hope you got a chuckle from the sentiment! I know just who's getting this
happy birthday card, and she loves margaritas! (Who doesn't?)
Have a great week!

12 Kits of Occasions: A New Year of Birthdays

Hello, and welcome! Tracey McNeely is our hostess for January 2021. And her
bright happy kit was filled for all things birthday. Have a look, but be warned, this
post is not for a quick look and be gone... I used just about ALL of Tracey's goodies
for 7 cards! A perfect kit to stock up on much needed birthday cards!

Many of the cards I make are for my crafty friends. The card above will come in handy!

If this colors don't brighten someone's day, I can't imagine what would!

The pinwheels and 'happy' were included in the kit. Fortunately I had the stencils to add
a bit more celebration.

This sweet present laden bear was a hoot to color! I just used the colors from the
dp Tracey included in her kit.

All these letters that spell 'BIG' Birthday Wishes were in the kit. I stamped and colored
them.

What to do with the negative spaces? Make another card, of course!

The designer paper I received included a panel with this envelope. I carefully cut
along the flap line, and glued only along the rimmed edges for an actual
working envelope. See below...

As the front flap is opened, a surprise...

The string, balloons and pinwheels were all in the kit! Stars and confetti in my stash.

Thank you Tracey! You're the best. I can't begin to tell you how I've treasured your
kind and patient friendship. Always there to lovingly 'fix' a boo boo, or encourage
with sweet comments. As I opened the kit, I smiled. It was perfect! Full of just the
best, at the right time, (my birthday stash was depleted), reminding me what a
treasure crafting friends are!

Stay well, sweet friends! And craft on!

12 Kits of Occasions: August

Welcome to the 12 Kits of Occasions August post!
Today it's all about 'leaves', and our hostess, Marybeth Lopez,
(marybethstimeforpaper) gifted her teammates with leaves of hope
for a much needed fall!

As you probably know, we in California have been in a firestorm lately, and can't wait
for cooler wetter weather. I pray every day for those whose lives are on the line
fighting these awful fires.

Marybeth included a wood grained pattern paper in pastels, and I think I
used everyone for my cards!

I loved the large Altenew letters spelling out 'HUGS' and used an Altenew stamp
to decorate them.

Bold leaves to frame a scripture verse

And another scripture, with a bouquet and bow from the Greetery.

The other designers are sure to wow with inspiration, be sure to
visit them, and spread a little love while you're there!

Strawberry Jam

How y'all doing? Well and safe, I hope!
I recently received a driveby gift of homemade Strawberry Jam from a friend, and thought
I'd repay with some homemade tags she could add to the next batch. Our valley has
fresh, ripe delicious strawberries, April through August, and then again October
through Christmas!

I used several stamp and die sets from different companies, Concord & 9th,
PTI, MFT and Elizabeth Crafts.

I've saved dozens of stamp containers from PTI over the years, and love them
for repurposing.

The super big berry tag from C9 says it all!

I loved how PapertreyInk included so many sweet details in their Strawberry
Patch set.

The MFT tag has a couple of 'awnings' you can add to the top.

Well that's all for now, I seem to be craving a bagel with cream cheese and
strawberry jam... homemade of course. And then it's off to do a driveby...

Have a wonderful week!

Supplies:
PapertreyInk: Strawberry Patch, Strawberry Patch Sentiments,
Background Basics: Super Gingham, Garden Variety 1 & 2, Canned,
TagSale: Quilted

Concord & 9th: Sweet Strawberries

MFT: Treat Tag

Elizabeth Craft Designs: Strawberries

All inks: Altenew

12 Kits June: Love is in the Air...

Well, hello and welcome to June's 12 Kits': Love is in the Air!
This month's love-ly kit is via the fabulous Michelle Leone. Michelle packed
our kits with elegance and celebration. Color sublime!
Leading off with the last of 6 cards, and they couldn't have been more of a joy!
You see that stamped panel? Came stamped & ready to go. Used a PTI Mix & Mat
with Michelle's lovely designer papers.!

Once again, the sprig of blooms already stamped, added to dp, and together with
the included sentiments, and did I mention the gorgeous sequins in the kit?

Wanted to give the 'Love' scripted die it's place in the sun, so added it to
a butterfly designer paper, together with a heart. Michelle stamped the butterfly
on one of our sentiment panels. I fussy cut and and added the gold paint.

Serious crushin' going on with the color on the Greetery panel. The Altenew
lacy heart and banner were also in the kit.

I try not to pick favorites... (don't want to offend the other cards), but this one seemed
'just right'. Love it when that happens.

You really can't go wrong adding a bouquet to Betsy's classy bottles.
Just loved playing with these colors. Thank you Michelle!

Hope you enjoyed the visit today. Be sure and get around to all the
12 Kits friends, and give them some love.

Have a great, safe, and crafty week!

12 Kits of Occasions: Crafty Friends Are The Best

Hello and welcome to the 12 Kits of Occasions, February post.
The fabulous Jeanne Jackna is our hostess this month. Her kit was full of projects
for friendship, especially our crafty friends! I loved every bit, thank you Jeanne!
Here's what I made:

Sweet Pure Innocence from MFT inspired this card. Jeanne supplied all the elements
with the exception of the easel (PTI: You're a Masterpiece). I had way too much fun
painting the mini landscape!

These paintbrushes from Waffle Flower are the cutest. Just had to combine
them on a pallet (Poppystamps) and frame them.

In our kits were all these wonderfully colorful and artsy designer papers.
I couldn't resist using as many as I could. This sweet little frame from Hero Arts
was perfect to frame one of the flowers.

I used several of the papers in the kit for this collage. Not a stamped image on this card.

These Crafty Critters are enjoying the day with each other.

Jeanne included these die cut wood stamps (C9), along with the foil scissors and b/w
designer paper. I had the Concord & 9th stamped paper already done, and created my
card around it. It's one their Turnabout series (Crafty Turnabout). I just made my ink
pads to match. The sentiment is from the same set.

And finally, this Reverse Confetti tag, came with the window popped out. Just
perfect for a flower stamp, also from Reverse Confetti, called Floral Gem.

I have several elements left over for more crafty goodness.
Can't wait to use them!

Thanks for the visit, and if you have some time, what'd you think? Did
you like a particular card? Mine has to be the first one, with the PI doll
painting her masterpiece. That was just too fun to do. I forgot to mention
I used puff paint on the clouds and mountains.

So hard to see, but irl the texture's there, and looks like wet paint.

Jeanne's invited 5 guests! Be sure to visit them and leave some love!

12 Kits of Occasions December: 12 Tags and a Gift Box

Hi everyone! It's the last day of December, and the last day of 2019,
and we at 12 Kits are celebrating with a super kit from our hostess,
Marcia Hill (@marciasstampinpad).

Marcia sent us all things tags, just right for presents and gifts of
all shapes and sizes, and for everyone on my list.
Before I share my tags, I just have to thank my dear friend Marcia,
your kit was my best Christmas present!

TAGS! 12 of them! And a gift box too! Come take a look, and fair
warning, bring a cuppa, it's a long post!

Stamped and ready to go... colored the inside of the 'O', and added the sentiment
strip & some ribbon and bells. Oh, and a bit of copic cool grey.

Deer duo with wreath. Loved the sweet snowflakes!

I added the paper, Marcia supplied the deer, tree, tag, sentiment and shaker elements. My
granddaughter added this ornament/tag to her tree!

Warm Wishes says it all! This jolly guy made a great boy tag.

These 2 are smaller, and are a perfect fit for small packages

Another duo and one's a shaker. Don't you just love the candies in the shaker?

Such a sweet image from Stamp City. Added some Stickles for bling.

Marcia stamped the tag, I added the bright pastels and puff paint.

The reason for the season silhouette.

Marcia included a sheet of holly berry tissue. I glued it to a PTI box, and added
this joy tag. That's a Greetery sprig on the top.

And that's 12 tags and a Gift Box.
Thank You Marcia!

Happy New Year friends!
