The Flower Challenge 2 Reminder#79 Focus on Background Stamping

Hi and welcome to the Flower Challenge Reminder: Background Stamping.
It's all about showing those flowers off, against a stamped background.

It's Your Day, is a birthday card with a sweet hummingbird, against a stamped lattice
circle.

Behind a bouquet from C9 called Eclectic Garden Dies, is
from it's matching Eclectic Garden Stamp set.
The Greetery arches die and Seed Catalogue Background Stamp are the finishing
touches, along with some rhinestones from Poppystamps.

You still have a couple of weeks to play, hope to see your creations, and how
you add background stamping to your cards.
Have a great weekend!

The Flower Challenge #75 Christmas

Merry Christmas! And welcome to The Flower Challenge. The final challenge of
the year is: Christmas!

Looking through my stash of Christmas flowers sets, I came upon Concord & 9th's
Christmas Florals Stamp Set.

It's a beauty I haven't used in awhile, and I thought I'd have some fun stamping it on
some red cardstock and coloring with metallic watercolors.

Lots of bling on this card. Black mica glitter, shimmer cardstock (PTI), and red
Wink of Stella.

Finally, even added some diamond Stickles to the black outline.
Don't know about you, but it's time to shine. Bring on the lights and
shine some love! It's what we're here for, you know. Bright Holiday
Blessings to you. and yours. Hope you find some time to play along. I'd love
to see how Christmas translates onto your card.

The Card Concept: Travel Abroad or Stay At Home

Hi Folks! It's time for a new post at the Card Concept, and we have 2 choices to
inspire you, Travel Abroad or Stay at Home. You can choose.

I zoned in on the globe and knew what stamp set I was going to use.
It's an oldie from Concord & 9th called Globe Greetings.

I have a recipient for this card. My DIL is a geography teacher, and she really is,
The World's Best Teacher.

T

The stack of books is from PTI: Glorious Globes Basics, and the gorgeous leaf is
The Greetery's Jumbo Curiosity Buckeye Leaf.

The tiny blossoms are also from the Greetery: Botanicuts: Apple.

Sorry I don't know what stencil I used for the background. If you know,
I'd love to know the name. I found the panel in my stash, and loved the design with the
globe. Inked in gray,  it gave off vintage vibes.

Play along for 2 weeks, and be sure to mention what style you used, and don't
forget to add our inspiration photo to your post.

I call this card, Vintage Layered. (a term I made up, perfectly acceptable, btw!)

The Card Concept: Change of Seasons

Hi and welcome to a post for The Card Concept. We're back after a summer break
with a new challenge: Change of Seasons.

What inspires you? The butterfly? The colors? The flower?
I saw the butterfly, and decided to add a butterfly to my card. But I
also saw the lovely grey background and remembered a card  Betsy
Veldman did, with her red rubber stamp, Fond of Foliage
from the Greetery on her grey card.

Betsy used an oxide ink, I used my white Pigment ink, stamping several times
until I was happy with the impression.

Hollyhock Stems is a multi-stamp process, and I used several inks from
 Concord & 9th and Altenew.
Jumbo Butterfly is also from the Greetery, and is stenciled, and color penciled.
Sentiment from Arched Sentiments and is white embossed.

Hoping you find time to play along with The Card Concept.
We love seeing your creations!

Have a wonderful week!

The Card Concept: Happy Mother's Day

Welcome friends! It's time for a new challenge at the Card Concept, and the photo
inspiration below is a favorite!

Don't you just want to enjoy sitting at this table! I was inspired by the transferware
pot, the crisp blue and clear white, and the gorgeous blooms to create my
Clean and Layered card.

My unforgettable, and awfully missed mom is in heaven, but I created a Thinking
of You card with C9's wonderful new dies. The background stamp is from the
Stamp Market.

I did a quick and loose watercolor on the floral part of the frame, and cut the frame die 3
times, gluing them together for dimension.

Hope you play along. The stunning inspiration photo can be interpreted in so
many ways. Remember to include the photo on your post to be eligible to win.

Have a wonderful week!

The Card Concept: Winter Warmth

Happy 2021 everyone!
The Card Concept has a new challenge and the photo is sure to inspire!

The colors were the first I saw, red and white with a touch of cocoa. The cup
of course, and the tiny bit check on the bottom right.

I used the Greetery's Cozy Cup stamp and die set to create a Clean and Layered card.

The sweet cuppa just oozes cozy warmth, don't you think?
Challenges are for 2 weeks, and don't forget to add our challenge photo to your post.
Happy New Year, and happy creating!

Day 16: 25 Days of Christmas Tags

Day 16 and the sponsor for 25 Days of Tags is Concord & 9th.
C9's designers  and the 25 Days designers made the most wonderful tags for Day 16,
and I just know I'll go back and make more of what inspired today.
I just happened to have the Tree Ring Background stamp Lindsey Larsen
used for her gorgeous tag. Lindey made several tags and I loved each one!

All those dreamy Christmas florals dies, and I couldn't wait to see what I
could come close with what I had from C9.

If our tags look similar I achieved my goal. Same colors and similar layout.
Here's what I used from Concord & 9th

Tree Ring BG, Birdie Talk Dies, Filled in Florals, Everyday Bouquet,
Tropical Vibes, and Christmas Florals (sentiment)

Stay tuned for Day 17 tomorrow!

Day 7: 25 Days of Christmas Tags

Day 7 of Christmas Tags, and I used Ardyth Percy's striking and bold tag for
today's inspiration. Her's is below

Simple, one dimensional line design, from Unico, and bright red dotty ribbon.

I used C9's Silent Night stamp set for it's graphic design, and
tried to keep to Ardyth's tag shape, and stamped design.

Thanks Ardyth!

12 Kits of Occasions October '20: Fall Splendor

Hey everyone, thanks for visiting today. You're in for a treat! It's time for
the 12 Kits of Occasions October Hop.

Our hostess this month is Birgit Norton (@craftingwhileiwait), and she sent
the most delightful kit full of leaves and pumpkins, and gorgeous papers, called
Fall Splendor. Well just have a look...

These were a trio of stamped pumpkins I fussy cut and colored with copics. Then I
mounted them onto a PTI leafy die cut I had in my stash. In the center is a
sentiment Birgit included in the kit.

The sweet apple basket came die cut and ready for red and green apples (also in the kit).
Don't you love the red truck and apple basket paper? Paired it with the Greetery's
Ship Lap dies, and blessed sentiment.

I wanted Birgit's gorgeous leaf die cut to shine, so paired it with a
Spellbinders lacy die set.

the orange background paper was the reverse side of one of the papers included in
the kit. Can you see the tiny dots?

Love this sweet little pumpkin! The stitched leaves, papers and tag came together
in a snap!

And finally, this stamped and die cut solo pumpkin was colored with copics,
and added to one of the gorgeous leafy designer papers.

Thank you, Birgit! My autumn cards grew by 5, and even have some
adorable die cuts and papers for more!

Be sure and see what the other disigners have done.
They're sure to surprise and delight. Can't wait to
see what they did with Birgit's kit!

The Card Concept: Around the World

Hello Card Concept fans! It's time for a new challenge, and we have this photo
as inspiration:

Around the World is our theme, and I focused right in on that
Glorious Globe! Decided to tuck in some of the blooms too.

I love this set from C9, and don't use it enough. The sentiments are
designed to stamp within the globe. Really packs a wow of a thanks!

Lots of 'popping' up with foam for dimension, and silver embossing powder
for a bit of bling.

Hope you play along, I love seeing what you all imagine from the
inspiration photo.
See you in the Card Concept line up!

Supplies:

Concord & 9th: Globe Greetings; So Happy For You

12 Kits of Occasions: August

Welcome to the 12 Kits of Occasions August post!
Today it's all about 'leaves', and our hostess, Marybeth Lopez,
(marybethstimeforpaper) gifted her teammates with leaves of hope
for a much needed fall!

As you probably know, we in California have been in a firestorm lately, and can't wait
for cooler wetter weather. I pray every day for those whose lives are on the line
fighting these awful fires.

Marybeth included a wood grained pattern paper in pastels, and I think I
used everyone for my cards!

I loved the large Altenew letters spelling out 'HUGS' and used an Altenew stamp
to decorate them.

Bold leaves to frame a scripture verse

And another scripture, with a bouquet and bow from the Greetery.

The other designers are sure to wow with inspiration, be sure to
visit them, and spread a little love while you're there!
