Hello You

Hi! Betsy Veldman shows us a fun technique for our PTI cards
she calls, Pop-Up Sliders.

My card uses the set given away at during SAF '18,  called Community Garden.
So many lovely images, among them the garden pail I used for my 'pull-up'.
Lots of fussy cutting, will be glad to get the matching dies.

Trouble was, then I had to find words skinny enough to go underneath.

Such a fun concept for interactive cards. Just a little extra effort, to pull on the
garden gloves, and the pail pops up with a greeting underneath!

Watch Betsy's video on the PTI blog for MIM, for complete instructions.

Have a great day!

Sorry to say, Community Garden was only available during SAF.
My sentiment: Hello You from Four Square, no longer available. (Maybe you have it?)

Big Halo Hello - Poppy Stamps Blog Blitz

Hello!
I recently got an email from my friend Jeanne Jackna, asking,
'would you like to join the
Poppy Stamps Design Team?'
Couldn't say yes fast enough! I secretly crushed on Poppy for oh so long!
And, guess what, it's Blog Blitz time at Poppy, which means I get to
showcase a die from the new release.
There are so many wonderful new dies to check out, but seriously,
is there one better than 'Hello' to greet Poppy fans with?

I LOVE this double die, that allows you so much creativity.
Every piece you see, on my card, was die cut from white card stock,
then the larger, (fatter) die was rainbow inked in warm colors,
before adding the white, skinnier die.

The larger die was placed on an angle before running it through my
die cutter.
Then I simply placed my rainbow 'hello' in the window, adhering
it to the inside of the card.

Still plenty of room to add your rest of your message.

I glued several skinny 'hellos' all over the card, on a slant,
like the window die cut,
then snipped off the edges.
Gives the card such a cool embossed effect, don't you think?

I loved doing this so much, I did 2, one in warm tones, and one with cooler.

How would you like to win this fun new double 'Big Halo Hello' die?
Just visit the Poppy Blog here:

and leave comments on my post and
each of the designer's blogs, May 10th - May 21.
You have until the 22nd to comment.
Poppy stamps will announce the winners on May 24th.
Good Luck and hope you win!

Hello

MIM, is with Stephanie Gold, one of PTI's new designers.
She expertly shows us a striking technique of creating
window chipboard sentiments.

I did my 'Hello' with some pattern card stock I had,
glued it to a black foam board,
and die cut my window.
So nice to use Ruby Rose, hadn't inked that set in a while.
Did a bit of masking to add leaves and bottom posie.

Inside the card

The card and matching envelope.

I've been doing envelopes from PTI's matching pattern card stock,
and loving how they turn out! A bit sturdier than regular envelopes,
and that way hide the bumps and bling on the cards.

edited to add: the envelope was created by a punch board tool
by We R Memory Keepers. Here's the link on Amazon.
It's a real 'must have' if you like making your own!

PTI's 10th Anniversary Celebration: 2012

PTI is working it's way to present day, celebrating each year, and each
year's releases, with the Celebration of it's 10th Anniversary.

Embroidered Blooms is one of the 5 featured sets released
in 2012. Multi stamping allows for infused color and depth for an image.

Paired my card with Embroidered Frames: Dots.
I stamped white ink onto Spring Rain Cardstock, very subtle,
and a bit hard to see in the photo.
Sentiment: Hello is from Embroidered Blooms, Lovely, from
Make It Market: Nostalgic Notions.

PTI's 10th and Hello There

PTI's celebrating their 10th Anniversary, and the fun
and festivities have just begun!

With a team of talented designers we're inspired to recall
5 sets from their first year in business.
I don't have any of the 5, but Nichole allows for adapting
a set we do have to one of the originals.
Take Three: Summer reminds me of Text Boxed, with it's
PTI Classic reverse stamping.

The bird images were cut with the square die from Be Happy,
and stamped with Dark Indigo.
Background stamped with Turning a New Leaf, and
sponge inked with Pale Peony.
Scripted die sentiment.
Can't wait for tomorrow! More fun to come!

Hello There

There is a call, at PTI, to post our own favorite project
to their: Celebrating the past, present and future: Favorites.

Peonies on Parade gave me the perfect set to be noticed at the Card Challenge #65.
Also used PTI's Scripted & Gold Foil pattern paper.
Watercolored with Zig Clean Colors.

So excited for the new designers at Papertrey, one of which is Michelle Leone,
a fellow 12 Kits Teammate!

Lovin' the Blues at Papertrey!

Celebrating along with all of you, PapertreyInk's 8th Anniversary.
Today we have the 'blues'!
We are to use blue in our projects.

Mighty Oak Tree Die Inked in PTI True Blues:
Spring Rain, Blueberry Sky & Enchanted Evening.
Behind that are the PTI Aquas: Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, & Tropical Teal.
Kinda looks like a Peacock Tree!
Banner Sentiments embossed in pewter powder.
I'm not sure who first decided to twirl twine and stick it anywhere, I'd love to credit them
with giving a card a fun finish.
