Christmas Card times 6

Laurie has an interesting challenge for us this week, on Make It Monday.
Setting up an assembly line for our card making.

I did create 6 cards, taking my time to add the various levels and layers,
something I love to do. Total therapy for a card lover's soul!

The house is from Winter Village, stamped in the colors of our home.
From there, what scene to put my home in, was my challenge.
Simply love the Holiday Greens Borders, and dies and it's possibilities.
The tiny wreath on the door is from Home For the Holidays.
It just fit perfectly!
Here's a photo of the bg, before the die cuts were added:

First stamped the pine needles, a bit lower than the top of the card,
so they would show under the top level, and inked the top
Using a stencil created from In the Meadow, the snowy hills
took shape.

Next came the spruce branch die, heat embossed with
Stampendous: Aged Green Embossing Enamel,
popped up with foam.

I thought of adding the berries to one corner.
Too busy?
What do you think?

Finally the stamping, and die cuts were added, along with the
sentiment and some tiny flat sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.
Stickles Crystal provided the 'snow'.
I plan to spend today adding some pizazz to the inside,
and envelopes too.
Thanks for looking at my process!

PTI Inks: Ripe Avocado, Fine Linen, Classic Kraft, Olive Twist,
Spring Rain, Ocean Tides, Scarlet Jewel, Cocoa Bean, & Saffron Spice.

Just a Note

Hi there!
I'm sharing a card with you I did for The Card Concept's
latest challenge,

1st chose, stamped, and thrice cut the typewriter from
PTI's Be Mine: Valentine,
in Aqua Mist and True Black.
Found a seldom used die from PTI called Doily Details C,
which embosses a doily in a frame.
I would call my card Clean and Layered.

Pink squiggle from Delicate Details.

Rosey Posey blossom and leaves,
Tiny Tags sentiment and tag.
Pretty Pink Posh sequins (3 mm iridescent)

The fabulous Lisa Elton from My Paper Tales
is the guest designer, and her card features a beauty
in a shabby chic style!
You have a week to enter!

Brown Paper Packages

Make It Monday this week, features Lexi Daly,
showing us how to use our stamps to create wrapping paper.
Lexi's video is full of pointers, such as lining stamps up, and
she provides 3 templates on her blog. (Thank you, Lexi!)

Our house goes natural vintage at Christmas time.
All red and green, lots of things I collected when my nest was full.
5 children became 10, as they all married,
and along with them, we are now blessed with 11 grandchildren,
ages 2 to 22.
5 girls and 6 boys, (the 2 littlest with me the last 4 days!)
Christmas is always at our home, as it is centrally located between
the homes of the family. It's the happiest, busiest, wildest time of the year!
Besides Christmas we celebrate the birthdays of 3 family members!

Finally found time to play along with Lexi.
Nichole's blog is full of wonderful inspiration by all of you!
Here's how I created my papers:

Main stamps are from Two Feet Deep.
I had to look up Heather's card for reference, as I've never worn
snowshoes! I used 2 of Lexi's templates for my papers.

I added a snowflake strip with a snowflake from Snowflake Medley.

Word paper also from Two Feet Deep.

Tag is doubled, Tag Sale #4, with 'To & From': Pom Pom Pals.

Hope you get a chance to play along,
I love seeing what all my blogging friends create!

12 Kits of Occasions October '16: Let's Be Thankful

Good morning and welcome to 12 Kits of Occasions,
a day earlier than usual. We usually post the last day of the month,
but tomorrow being Halloween, we are coming to you on the 30th.
'Let's Be Thankful' is our theme this month, with a super sweet kit
full of a variety of stamps and dies from
our hostess, Michele Ferguson.

I send out as many thank you cards as birthdays, so
I welcomed Michele's lovely papers, die cuts, ribbon, pearls, sequins, and
even a laser wood cut butterfly.
Well, just look at Lindsey's beautiful photo of all our goodies in the photo above!

Hope you enjoy my cards, I loved making them!
Thank you Michele. The first card was done with you in mind,
knowing your love of butterflies!

So many gorgeous papers

2 sets of these die cut leaves. Used them on this card.

Used my zigs on this die cut.

Michele included some printed doilies, which I put under this dual fold card.
She gave us pearls I copic colored.

So easy to just add the 'thanks' die cut to these coordinated designer papers.

A shaker with some of the sequins

Copic colored this kitty, and created a tag attached to a polka dot bag
Michele gave us in the kit.

Thank you for the visit.
You won't want to miss the other designers, and see what
they all did with Michele's wonderful kit!
And we have a talented guest too, Leanne Pugliese.

Oh Holy Night

Make It Monday with Lizzie Jones, and Dry Brushing our background.
Love this technique!
Did a few, while the brush was wet,
and can't wait to use them again.

You wouldn't believe that I used Pinefeather for my ink,
it lightened up so much. It looks like aqua mist.
Tried to keep the sides a bit darker than the center, so my snowflake would
seem to be glowing.
Christmas Faith, Snowflake Medley,
Glossy Accents

Also playing along at Merry Monday,
where the theme this week is 'Birds'.

Merry Monday #219 {Birds}

Spent the morning baking,
with these delicious results!

Our persimmons are ripe, and they make the best chewy cookies!
These are filled with dates, raisins and pecans.
Wish I could send you all some!
Have a great week!

With Joy

Mid week, blogging friends, and playing along with
Merry Monday, a Christmas card challenge, with this inspiration:

Plaid!
I love plaid! Any plaid, so I have lots of plaid paper.
But couldn't find one that I wanted to use,
so I made my own with PTI's Plaid Builder.
Let me just say, much easier with my misti!

Loop de Loop border die provided my 'trim'.
What the Doodle: Tea Time
Spruce & Sprigs
Tiny Tags

I  die cut the tea cup from shimmer card stock, but it's hard to photograph.
Also added red glitter stickles to the heart.

A few more days to play!
Thanks for the visit, and happy crafting!

Give Thanks

Melissa Phillips shares her talents for creating beautiful backgrounds
with die cut stencil shapes.
Her attention to detail wins me every time.
And it's always delightful to learn her secrets!

Melissa used an ordinary paper towel to apply her inks to the
die cut stencils. I did some of my background like she showed us,
and part with sponges.
Make It Market: Garden Gate provided the die cut stencil, and
fall leaves for my background.
Friendship Jar: Fillers (smaller pumpkins)
Autumn Pumpkins (larger pumpkins), & sentiment
All the pumpkins were die cut, stamped with Hero Arts Wet Cement,
then copic colored.

Also playing along with:

All those gorgeous velvet pumpkins!
Thank you for stopping by.
Hope your week is full of happy crafting!
