Anniversary Card

Hello, and so nice you dropped by...

Running low on much of my stash, and so happy to this sweet sentiment from the new
Greetery release, Grow Old with Me. It inspired the garden themed. card for an
anniversary couple.

Lots of stenciling and inking, along with a bit of copic coloring and white gel pen.
The star of the show: Those fabulous garden gloves!

The Card Concept: By the Sea

It's time for a new challenge at the Card Concept, and it's the last one through thee summer.
We take a break, before coming back in the fall. Our theme is, By The Sea.

Cool refreshing sea colors and the glass jar and shells inspired my Layered Theme card.

I loved a card by Kelly Lunceford, who designs for PapertreyInk. She was featuring
the Message In a Bottle set, and her card was wonderful! I used the colors on our
photo, and added a bit of pink to the shells.

I love the sentiment sticking out of the bottle!

The Shells and Palms are also from PTI, the sand swatch is an older set, not sure if it's
still available.

Hope you'll give By the Sea a try, and play along for our last (until fall) challenge.
Have a great week!

Bouquet of Love

Finally! It's been a busy month.
I finally had some spare time to play with the new Greetery release, and
combined a few of the new goodies for this card.

I started with In Spades (the gardening tools, and decided on a darkish color. That meant
stamping the floral pattern again and again with white ink, before added colored ink.
Then I went over some of the petals with a white gel pen, and did some colored
pencils as well.

The handles are silver foil and Memory Box woodgrain. The Greetery's handle imprints
a spectacular woodgrain pattern, which I inked with Ranger's Oxide Walnut Stain.

The Background is the newest of the Greetery's Rubber Cling, Seed Catalog
Background Stampwhich covers the whole A2 sized card.
I just could'n't bring myself to die cut this beautiful stamp! Left it whole
and inked the corners.
The new Botanicuts flowers were all added, and I added some roses too.
It's A Wrap is cut from vellum, and I added a sweet little tag from
Hug In a Mug.

Just heard there's a new Greetery release coming out at the end of this month.
It's for sure these newbies won't be put away before the new sets are on my
worktable!

Graduation 2022

Our grandson graduated this year from USB, (University of Santa Barbara). So happy to have
The Greetery's Year In, Year Out bundle!
Followed Betsy example with background color blocking.

I used all Polished Foil cardstock from Memory Box.

I used the colors of the University, Blue and Gold.

We're so proud of Carson! It's on to a Masters for this young man.
Plans are to be a Cell and Developmental Biologist.

Love him!

The Card Concept: Make It Masculine

Welcome to a new challenge at the Card Concept, this time it's Make It Masculine.

Our inspiration photo is of a pillow with all the masculine vibes you need.
I was inspired by the color swatches, animals, and nature for my Clean
and Layered card.

The critters are from Stamplorations' 'You Are my Tribe stamp and die set.
They're mounted on The Greetery's Wood Slices.
The panel is from Spellbinders, and the masculine paper is Poppystamps.

Father's Day is around the corner, and it's always nice to have a few masculine
cards in your stash!

GD for The Flower Challenge: Use Blue and Yellow

Hi there, and welcome! My sweet friends from the Flower Challenge asked me to
Guest Design for the month of June. I love the Flower Challenge, where you must
make flowers the star of your card. The theme this month is: Use Blue and Yellow,
in honor of the Ukraine.

I chose a couple of new sets from Poppystamps, and used gold with shades of
watercolored blue. The sentiment is another newbie from Poppystamps, Foil and Cut.
These sets come with the foil die plus it's outline that die cuts it. This sentiment is
foiled onto vellum.

If you love using flowers on your cards, and I know you do, pick a few and play
along.

Have a wonderful weekend!

The Card Concept: Red, White & Blue

Red, White and 2 shades of Blue, are the colors featured on the new Card Concept Challenge.

I love the vibes of our cozy inspiration photo, but once again went with the
colors for my card.

I used an old PTI set called Bloom & Grow, a Make It Market all inclusive stamp, stencil,
and die set from Betsy Veldman. I changed up the colors to fit our theme, and added some
pencil depth. I would say my design style is Clean and Layered but truthfully, my cards
are never really clean... more like Layers & more layers!

I love the pull up bouquet with the surprise birthday message.

Also added some Nuvo drops to the flower centers, and Glossy Accent to the heart.
Would love to see what inspires you. Remember, pick a style or make one up of
your own, and don't forget to add out inspiration photo to your post. Have a
wonderful crafty week!

The Card Concept: Vintage Style

The Card Concept has a new challenge starting today, Vintage Style. Check out the
inspiration photo:

What inspires you? Lots of ways to go with this one, style wise.

I zoned in on the colors, and the many vintage layers, to create a Clean and Layered card.
The pink blossom on the pillow was another piece of inspiration. My flower is from
Altenew's Peony Dream Die 3D die, and the background is Stamped from Altenew's
Wallpaper Art.
The beautiful Alleluia is from The Greetery's latest release.
I'm looking forward to seeing how you were inspired. Hope to see your lovely
creations in the Card Concept's lineup!

The rest of the sentiment is stamped on the inside, from the Greetery's Amen & Alleluia.
The floral decoration is from Altenew's Wallpaper Art.

Our challenges run for 2 weeks, and we love seeing how you were inspired!

The Card Concept: Easter Blessings

It's spring, and Easter is right around the corner. The Card Concept Challenge has
a new inspiration for you, Easter Blessings.

I love artful arrangements assembled for the holidays, and I was drawn to how
lovely the new photo for our challenge is. The sweet elements, all symbols of
the Easter season inspired my Clean and Layered card.

I used The Greetery's Hippity Happily Stamp, Stencil and Die set to create my card.

The simple stylized bunny wreath is further decorated with the Greetery's new flower
and sequin shaker elements.

Hope you'll have some time to play along. Don't you love that we've added color swatches
to help you with your card creation? Play along, and don't forget to include out photo
inspiration on your blog post.

Have a wonderful week!
