The Card Concept: Summertime Fun

 

Hello Crafting friends! It's June 21st, and that means the first day of summer.

The Card Concept has a new challenge, and it's Summertime Fun.

Our photo inspiration has several summer/ocean/sea items for you to

get your crafting juices flowing, as well as color swatches. What is your

favorite? And what style will your card be? 

I would definitely call mine Layered, but clean? Maybe more Mixed Media/Layered.

I used several Lindy's Starburst sprays for a mixed colored sand effect. And 

watercolored the panel of waves.

A Little Sunshine Mends the Soul

I'm back from a week with my daughter, who recently moved

to a town near Disneyland. Yes, I went to Disneyland, yes we went

to the beach, yes, a day shopping in Costa Mesa, and YES, swam 

every day and ate too much!

Catching up with my cardmaking, and watched Lizzie's video on

the PTI blog. She calls it, 'Repeating the Greeting'.

Had to break out the new stamps!

Did a little digging to find a sentiment, and found just what I wanted

in Quilted: Summer.

Popped up a few of the die cuts and shadow stamped the embossed 'Sunshine'.

I'm seriously dreaming of beach days with the grandkids. It was heavenly...

PTI July '18 Blog Hop

It's Blog Hop time at PapertreyInk, and our inspiration photo is a 

joyous splatter of salt sea pattern and a brilliant combo of unexpected color.

From the first sighting of Reef Builders I was hooked! The detailing is amazing and I LOVE each

and every die to bits!

As I sometimes do, I went visiting this beautiful Sunday,
