The Flower Challenge 2 Reminder Add Sparkle

Welcome back to a reminder for The Flower Challenge: Add Sparkle
'Tis the season for all things glitz,  and our cards sparkle and shine a bit more
during  this magical season!

I used the same Sizzix poinsettia die as on my last card, just used  the  reverse
die cuts.

This card will need it's own specially made envelope, as the greenery climbs
up over the boundaries!

Play along until the 25th.
Hope to see your sparklies in the lineup!

Another of the fabulous sets from the Greetery's Handiwork release, is this
vintage sewing machine. Love at first sight!

I 'borrowed' a few of the designers inspirations for my friendship card, like  Dawn's
triple fabric pile,  and  Kelly's use of the frame embroidery hoop. 'Sew" much
inspiration to  love during release week!

This was made for a dear friend that loves to quilt.

Crazy for the stitched sentiments too!
Have a great day!

The Flower Challenge #73: Use a Sentiment & 6th Birthday

Hello, and welcome to The Flower Challenge, 6th Birthday celebration.
There are prizes this month too. The challenge is to use a sentiment on your
card. And of course to make a flower or flowers the main attraction.

Want some inspiration?

My card features Altenew's magnificent magnolia, a Craft a Flower Die set, and
I clear embossed Altenew's Beveled Squares Stencil onto a Poppystamps Oval.
The sentiment is also Poppystamps, an oldie called Happy Birthday Background.
The hem stitched die is from Spellbinders.

Now it's your turn. Choose a favorite flower/flowers, and play along. You could
win some fabulous prizes! See you in the lineup, and Happy 6th, Flower Challenge!

Adventure at the Lake

With the outside hovering around 109, the inside is the place to be, and my craft room
with every possible 'craft aid' imaginable just begs to be played with. (Did I just start and
end a sentence with the word, with'?)

Friday's Greetery blog featured Norine and a timely post using the Destinations set.

Norine's card had me lake dreaming, with picturesque mountains and cool breezes.
Destinations together with Destination Rectangle Die is what I used.
I sneaked in a few items from Destination Summer, as well, and the tag
is from Speed Tagging.

I used a pencil to add a bit of shading to the windows.

The Destination map die cuts the sections, which I inked and paint spattered.

Seriously folks, if I wasn't so comfy in my air conditioned craft cave, I'd be heading up
to the lake right now!
Are you busy? Wanna come?

2 Easter Cards

Hi all! Finally had a chance to create with the Greetery's Spring release.
This set, Easter Jubilee, came with just about everything I needed to make
my Easter cards.

While the set was on my desk I made 2 cards, 2 different color ways.
You start with stenciling, and stamping, and die cuts finish the card.

2 layers of contrasting Cardstock were added to each letter.

The second card began with cutting the letters out with purple glitter paper.
I tried to vary the color up a bit using Betsy's method of sponging ink onto
the stamp.

You can see the aqua cardstock behind the letters.

These were fun and easy, and I think I'll do a few more.
You know that song in Aunty Mame, 'We Need a Little Christmas'?
Well, I think we definitely need a BIG Easter right now.
Put decorations out. Add some spring joy to your front yard for the
neighbors to enjoy. Bake your favorites.
and May this most Holy season bring you peace and joy knowing
our God loves you, and has a plan for your life.
God Bless you.
Stay safe!

A Quartet of Pine Blossom

Hi and Happy New Year!
Well, the New Year is off to a happy start. Saturday was one of those days
with no one around, quiet and chores free. Way too good a day to waste!
The holidays came and went so fast, I hadn't used the Greetery's Pine Blossom
at all, and there it was right on the top of my order.

I die cut and stamped the bouquet and flowers in several colors.
I hadn't used the Berry Branch Stencil either. 1st inked, then played with
stencil paste in a couple of colors.

My stash of birthday cards is low, so all 4 cards were done for winter birthdays.

My outdoor garden is sleeping right now. It's down to freezing where I live,
but on this card it's bright and happy.

I just love the new bow Betsy created. So open and animated!

And finally one with my favorite greeting, blessings.

Nothing better than a crafty weekend!

Here's a list of what I used: All Greetery
Pine Blossom stamp set and dies
Fit to be Tied die
Inside Out Berry Branch die
Berry Branch stencil
Terrarium die
Knit Wits stencil
Nordic Frames die

Create Along Wit Us: September Release

Hi PTI Peeps! It's Create Along With Us time, a chance to look carefully
at technique, color and of course, the fabulous new stamps and dies being
released this month, by the designers.

I loved the colors Laurie used on this beauty.

Her leaves against an aqua bg was my starting point.

Now I love all the Bold Borders Lizzie's inventive mind has created, but until I have it,
Cover Plate: Winter Floral has some of the fronds I was looking to watercolor.
I LOVED the added chunky glitter on her card, so I glittered the flowers and little acorns.
Not nearly the wow effect Laurie's card had,
so I put a few sequins on the center.

Happy Fall: Create Along With Us

This week at PTI we get to Create Along with their fabulous designers.
It's release week and the cards and projects are amazing! Full of rich new fall
stamps and dies, and as usual, wonderful new ideas.

Michelle Leone's card caught my eye.

One of the newest dies to be released is this one Michelle featured called,
Frame It Out Many Blessings.
Michelle did a few things on her card I cased.

My card uses Shape Shifters Oval 1, and like Michelle, I fussy cut the design to create a
window for my sentiment.
I absolutely love Stitched Florals, with the multi-stamping.
My flowers are from Mum's the Word, and so  is the fall sentiment.
For the added color of Harvest Gold, I water colored the die cut, let it dry, and
then stamp the mum in Honey Nut. That color combo is so Fall-esque!
I tried to keep the rest of Michelle's color scheme, with the exception of the leaves.
Mine are Olive Twist.

Play along all week on the PTI blog. So much inspiration to see!
Happy Crafting!

A Lovely Birthday

What do you do with a crazy busy week, getting ready for
a ladies tea party in your backyard?
You find a way fit in a card for
PTI's MIM with Betsy Veldman!

I think it's safe to say, 99% of what I've learned to do with
a card, has come from enjoying the Make It Monday posts.

And so, with Betsy showing us how to use our stencils to
create watercolor backgrounds, I made this card

Besides, my recent order arrived, with
Betsy's Make It Market Mini Kit: Lovely Lace,
complete with a fabulous lattice stencil, and wonderfully lacy die,
perfect for framing Dawn's Gran's Garden Florals.
Well, dear friends, it's back to picking up every stray leaf and twig that's
found it's way to my patio, and wash tea cups and saucers
for about 30 ladies.
At least my MIM card is done!

I pretty much used Betsy's colors and stamps that she used.
Just loved her colors and couldn't wait to ink up Gran's Garden!
