The Flower Challenge Reminder #82 CAS (Clean & Simple)

Good Morning and welcome to a challenge reminder for The Flower Challenge.
For the month of July we are asking you to create a CAS card.

For some folks, a masculine card is the hardest to make. For me, it's a CAS card!

Clean  and simple... plenty of white space, and a main  focal. Oh and, a flower
of course!

I picked Honey Bee's Lovely Layers Water Lily, to use as my centerpiece,
and added just a bit of Tiffanylou's Blue magicals to simulate water the
lily is floating on.

The layers make the petals pop off the card. Not so simple, but oh so pretty!

Happy Birthday is from The Greetery's Full Panel Leaves Stamp Set. It seemed
to fit the wavy leaf perfectly!

I'd love to see what you make with this month's challenge. Believe
me, I need all the CAS ideas I can get!

Blessings  sweet friends!

The Card Concept Challenge Signs of Spring or Butterfly Blues

As March rolls along, we're all anxiously awaiting spring. The Card Concept
has a new challenge for you, and you get to choose what to play with,
Signs of Spring or Butterfly Blues.

The inspiration for my Mixed Media card comes from the Butterfly Blues photo,
and the color swatches given.

My C9 die was cut from a panel I did with Magicals. In powder form, you sprinkle
the colors on your paper, in my case watercolor cardstock, and spray with water.
The result is 'magical'. The colors come to vibrant life, and achieved just the look
I wanted.

The die cut is popped up onto a panel sprayed with Lindys Stamp Gang.

Pick a favorite style and play along!

My card features the. Eucalyptus die from the Greetery, cut from white card stock
and inked with Distress Oxide.

Loopy bow and Nordic frame also from the Greetery, as is the bird (Robin and Wren).
I'd call my card Layered Shaker (there's sequins behind the vellum window).

You can just barely see those tiny sequins down in. the corner, but they're there!

Come play along, and have fun with. the colors too!

The Flower Challenge #77 Use Your Latest Stamps or Dies

Greetings and you picked a great time to visit. It's time for a new challenge at the
Flower Challenge. And we are asked to use our latest stamps or dies.

My order from Altenew included Ambridge Roses, stampset, dies and Stencils.
Such large images was perfect for a slimline, which I haven't done in a while,
and this challenge was the perfect excuse to play with this beautiful set.

The coloring comes together quickly with the stencils, and I mounted my die
cuts on a pale gray panel edged in platinum ep.

Hope you're inspired to play with some of your latest flower stamps and dies. We'd
love to see your creations!

Celebrating a new baby with a friend

Greetings friends. I wanted to share a project I made for a friend, Birgit Norton.
Birgit recently welcomed a grandson into her family.

I began with a paper collection I've had for a long time, and went with
those colors. Lawn Fawn's Ducklings and box die were the perfect fit.

One of the paper panels was this print set of blocks, which I cut up to decorate the sides and back.

I think I used every image in the stamp set for this project! Especially the bubbles!

The sweet box is designed to fold flat for mailing,  and fits. perfectly into a A2
size envelope.

Joyous congratulations Birgit and family!

Thank You, Altenew!

It's a happy day when a stamp company gifts you with a special stamp, with your name
in the set!

Included in my Atenew order this month, was a sweet stamp set, with my name!
Seems Altenew is celebrating 7 years of producing the absolute best in card making,
and they are blessing their customers with a personalized gift!

The small set is packed with 'wow', calling for a 2 step process for both flower and leaves.
I created a background, before adding my thank you (Best Sentiments) in one of the windows,
and fussy cut a few bolder blooms popped up.

The solid leaves are from Rose Flurries 3D Die set.

A big 'Thank You', Altenew! And looking forward to more of your fabulousness
in years to come!

The Card Concept: Winter Warmth

Happy 2021 everyone!
The Card Concept has a new challenge and the photo is sure to inspire!

The colors were the first I saw, red and white with a touch of cocoa. The cup
of course, and the tiny bit check on the bottom right.

I used the Greetery's Cozy Cup stamp and die set to create a Clean and Layered card.

The sweet cuppa just oozes cozy warmth, don't you think?
Challenges are for 2 weeks, and don't forget to add our challenge photo to your post.
Happy New Year, and happy creating!

The Card Concept: Summer Harvest

Hello! The Card Concept is back folks, although they had a summer edition. We
begin again with fall,
And we have this challenge photo to inspire.

My inspiration came from the sunflowers, and this is my card,

Marybeth Lopez included this embossed sunflower in her recent 12 Kits package, and I
saved it for this post. Magnificent Sunflower by Memory Box was embossed and ready
to paint! I chose to use my Metallic watercolors and call this card, Mixed Media.

The luminance is amazing! Sentiment by a new stampset called Beatitudes 1 by
Stamp Simply.
Background paper: Memory Box.

The Card Concept designer have some gorgeous inspiration for you. Be
sure to read our rules, and come have fun with our fall challenge!

See you in the lineup!

Just Peachy

During the Greetery's latest release, Betsy created a stunning card using the rails from
the Create-a-Crate die set.
And I did something I never do... I just had to case that card!

Betsy's started with a crisp white background, and she dry embossed it with one of the
dies in the set. I used Kraft card stock, and stamped a wood grained image from a
Concord & 9th set, with white ink.

Then from there it's pretty much Betsy's card! The peach lineup, the droplets
of white, even the triplet die cut sentiment. I thought, 'why mess with
perfection'.
The peach stamp is a 3 step process, and half way through several
peaches, I thought of lifting some of the ink with a small dauber. It
becomes even more dimensional with that small step.

We care for and nurture a half a dozen peach trees on our property,
that ripen throughout the summer. Peach jam, peach crisp, peach syrup, and
peach tea, are just some of the goodies to make with peaches.
The Greetery's Peachy Keen is a stamp set that's dear to my peach
loving heart!

Are there summer fruits you wait all year for? Apricots, plums, nectarines
and peaches, and don't forget cherries and figs... seriously couldn't live without
them!

Blessings friends!

Hello everyone, and welcome to the Card Concept, Summer edition. Yes,
this year, with all it's Covid Sheltering, some of us at the Card Concept
decided to continue with our challenges instead of taking the summer off.
Want to join the fun?
Here's our inspiration photo:
Irrisistably delicious inspiration, isn't it?

The colors of course, always inspire, and I loved the floral elements too.

Hope you can find some time to create a card and join the fun.
Choose a style or create one of your own. We love seeing what you do!

The amazingly beautiful hibiscus blooms for one day, then closes for the others.
This one, graces my garden, and is 8 to 9" in diameter!

Also adding my card to the latest Flower Challenge Summer/Winter.
My card... definitely summer!
We're celebrating all things summer here in my valley!

Hope your summer is off to a great start! A safe one too!

The Card Concept Challenge: Easter Blessings

Easter time greetings everyone!
I have some inspiration for the new challenge at the Card Concept:
Easter Blessings

My eye went immediately to the cross hung on the mirror.

My card features the cross and greens from the Greetery's Caring Cross.
I painted on some Shimmery Goodness (actual name) from TCW (Amazon)

I tried so hard to get it to show in the photo, it's really pearly irl!

I stamped the sentiment in Pirate's Gold on vellum, and fussy cut it so the Nuvo
drops could show.
Clean and Layered for this challenge!
Play along for 2 weeks,
we love to see your creations!
